Hm. I dont know if I would have been able to get on board this one. This type of story, to me, needs to be something that happens many years into Batmans career. The TB series is too "young" I think. Its weird, I know, Its just how Im seeing it. It would be cool to see this type of thing in the TAS universe.
I could, however, envision a Long Halloween project for The Batman tho.

I really like this, Hush looks so sick and the rest of the cast looks stylized and awesome. I dont think the Batman is too young for this, i mean weve had four seasons and it could have been about 5 years for all we know. I think they shouldnt worry about the series being to new, i think they should ust worry about making awesome Batman cartoons.

We don't have much for details on it yet, but I'm working on getting them...so we can talk over the 'might have beens' of it all. |

Legions of Gotham has the exclusive look at the pitch art for a Direct to Video/DVD feature that Jeff Matsuda had wanted to make when he was working on The Batman! I don't know if you all know this, but Jeff is good friends with a certain Mr. Jeph Loeb. From day one I've been talking with Jeff about getting Hush into the series, and from day one he was hoping to do that. It never panned out, but he did dig out some great art he used to try and sway the powers that be at WB. We may have some more details on what was to be coming soon. Superman, Ras Al Ghul and Harvey Dent played a very important part in the comics Hush storyline. I'm curious how the crew of The Batman will handle the lack of these three characters. |

Hush looks great and I'm saddened to hear it was a scrapped project. Maybe in the future, however, they'll pick it up again, even if Jeff is gone. And to be fair, I haven't read the Hush comics, but I haven't heard a single bad thing about them yet and plan to check them out as soon as Ii can.

That's friggin amazing! I can't believe he tried to get Hush off the ground! I love the way the characters look too. They're a more grotesue looking TB design. I wish WB had been smart enough to greenlight that. Hopefully we get something like this as a DTV for S5. That'd be amazing 7 it'd definately top TB Vs. Dracula. Thanks a ton Matt!
By the way... I don't recall The Penguin in Hush. This is a little perplexing having him in there. Then again, Jeff never said he wanted an absolute adaptation of it

This would have been interesting. There are a few plot points that would probably need to be altered for The Batman's continuity, but I'd be interested in an adaptation regardless. Too bad it didn't happen; then again, there's always hope that it could resurface down the road. At least we got to see some cool artwork.

Well with Superman on next season, maybe the chances of this being produced will greaten. Wouldnt have to adapt the story as much and as drastically with him there.

Hmm... This is a very precise story with many details that must not be left out. However, I do believe that Jason Todd could be taken out of TB's version of the story even if they did make it, which is highly unlikely. Even so, I doubt that many people would mind if the DTV movie of Hush was the debut and only appearence of Harvey Dent and Ra's Al Ghul, plus, seeing as they are already bringing in Superman, he may as well make another appearence in the movie, the story does need him... Now here is what the story CANNOT lack:
1.) Riddler MUST be behind the entire scheme. HE MUST.
2.) Harold needs to be in this movie too. Maybe they can bring him in sometime in season 5?
3.) The movie needs Catwoman to know Batman's identity. Maybe this movie can come out after the Final Episode? THAT would be a fantastic finish.
I know that this will probably never pick up now that Jeff Matsuda is gone, but if it does, it needs to follow specific guide lines to be any good.
P.S. Why is Penguin in the poster pic? He was only mentioned in Hush once...

I recently finished Hush after seeing this news and must say the comic is awesome!!! They could easily do a story like this and call it Hush, but as Hush Riddle says above, it wouldn't be the same but making a villain like Hush wouldn't be too hard...they probably just wouldn't have the Riddler twist at the end. (Just my opinion anyway  |
