Hey all - was thinking this would be a fun way to pay homage to the always fantastic 'The batman' - we have had 5 seasons of great work; great animation and a fresh new look for new generations.
Now after 5 seasons it may have came to an end... however lets say WB wanted another season of 13 episodes to keep the fans happy and to cross promote the upcoming 'The Dark Knight'...
What would you ideal 'Season 6' episodes be?
Yin's return and reason for her break? Ethan Bennet recovered and working again? More Justice League members? Catwoman's relationship explored with The Batman? Batgirl trying to help Poison Ivy - after all they were best mates... Harley and Ivy partnering up? Chief Rojas returning in a villain free episode framing The Batman for his long term vendetta?
or even adding more villains to the mix...
Well im still working on my 13 episodes which may now be turning into 26 eps - so maybe a 6th and 7th series... lol
What you guys think? or do i just love The Batman way too much to say goodbye?

Harley & Ivy team-up Another Selena and Bruce/Batman and Catwoman episode Villains like Ra's, Scarecrow, and Two-Face. WE NEED THESE GUYS! An episode that explores both Batman and Joker's origins including a "final showdown."
Plus, I have this idea for a series finale. The outline: The villains have taken over Arkham with Two-Face leading them and Batman, Robin, and Batgirl try to take it back. What would happen at the end however is Joker shooting Batgirl pointblank in the back, crippling her, and Robin then just goes crazy on Joker and nearly beats him to death but Batman stops him. Batman then goes after Two-Face who ran up to the roof. And in a final attempt to talk sense into Dent, he reveals himself as Bruce Wayne. After this, Harvey with a gun in one hand and his coin in another, flips it, it lands on heads. He then drops the gun and jumps over the edge into the water.
Dark, I know, but this would set up a spinoff series I thought of called "Legends of The Batman" taking place 10 years after this, with Batman having a huge bat on his chest without the oval, Barbara as Oracle, Dick as Nightwing, and Tim Drake coming in as Robin, and Cassandra Cain coming in as Batgirl.

the justice league get captured and all through the season batman looks for new recruits to save his old team. Meanwhile Robin Finds the best sidekicks and they consist of Kidflash, supergirl, speedy, golden eagle and robin. All those are sidekicks of jl members so i thought they would be the best choice. Both teams get together with a group of old heroes in the justice society and attack the fortress of all villains to free the old jl team.

After todays ep where Batgirl said Batman knew the presidents number, Id love an ep where Batman goes on a mission for the government. Perhaps a teamup with King Faraday. More Catwoman. More Riddler. A Harley/Ivy teamup. More obscure guest heroes... Black Lightning, Ragman, Apache Chief. I'd love to see Supergirl. I'd love to see Hush.
And if this is the last season, I know what kinda of spinoff/continuation I'd want. I'd like a WORLDS FINEST type cartoon. Each week Batman teams up with a different superhero. Or just a superhero teamup show in general. Batman/Vigilante, Superman/Robin... stuff like that. What I think would make a cool season of this is Shazam asking Batman to train Billy Batson how to be a superhero. A whole season of Batman training Shazam and seeing the character grow.

I'd just like to see a season six. Its not highly likely to happen.
If it does, though...I hope to see more story arcs that span over multiple episodes, rather than being mostly self contained. It'd also be nice to see more range of bat-villains introduced and a re-focus on him rather than the rest of the DCU

I'm still waiting on Mad Hatter. I think they should have used him for something by now. BTAS has shown that he can be an awesome villain. Plus, TB needs more clever villains. The only clever one that I have seen is Riddler. Joker's been dumbed down as has Bane. Scarecrow and Ra's are both really smart, but they are still off limits. I would like to see a greater presence of the GCPD. Batman and Gordon's relationship hasn't really been fleshed out all that much. I think Gordon was introduced more to get Batgirl than for Gordon himself.
Less involvement with the League. An occasional team-up is okay, but only occasionally.
Make Penguin into more of a smuggler/ club owner character. That is the only version of Penguin that I have enjoyed.

I personally think that WB will realise that if they do stop 'The Batman' now just before the release of 'The Dark Knight' than what will they do between summer 2008 the final chapter in the trilogy.
Also not only is 'The Batman' great advertising its also a GREAT show which i have always enjoyed - never slated or put down for anything. With all shows you get the odd thing you may not like and come on fans we can be a bit picky when they do something against the comics or add in too much 'kid' orientated one liners. But at the end of the day they at first targeted mainly kids but now have opened up and tried their best to please the fans which they sure have done.
If they dont than i will be happy with the 65 episodes but i feel the series can go so much further - i would like maybe less justice league and more focus on 'The Batman' as its his show and trully finish many of the characters stories. Some have been resolved but just to complete the series it could be done.
I also think this whole comparing to BTAS has become so tiring - dont get me wrong BTAS and all of the spin offs were and still are great but 'The Batman' is there also - it has so much to it i cant put it all in words. Cant believe i will say this but some eps have in my eyes been better than the Timm-verse.
So fans if you like 'The Batman' we must show WB that we do - petitions could be good start and also if your not happy with parts of the show than say what you want in the next season as you never know who could be reading these boards... possibly a writer working on the next season...

I don't really care one way or the other because I don't watch the show on a regular basis. Right now I'm only watching the eps where new villains are introduced just to see how they are translated to the TB universe

A: If its season 5 quality, then: NO! B: A new animated series, totally new(mayby 5 season is enough, you guys wants always more, and more!) c: B:TAS ! yeah season 5 has kind of sucked with all the team ups the superman one was ok but the flash one sucked! the green arrow one was cool but not as i expected and why is everything in gotham? the green lantern one was cool because he had a real reason to be with batman in gotham. the terrible trio one was very cool we need more bat-bat missions no bat-bird missions (if you understand) i mean I've nothing against robin but we´ve got way to much of him or we should have the terrific trio all together, i think there is a 6th season needed but no stinker episodes there should be good episodes and not all teamups. i think that finally with the villans taking over the asylum is good with the oracle orgin and robin should kill someone so he can get all mad with the "costume" and then takes on the nightwing one and at the end have a cameo with the whole bat family Batman (bruce) Nightwing (dick) Oracle (barb) robin (tim) batgirl (Casandra) huntress (Helena i think) in my opinion that would be the best thing ever and somehow have a teen titan cameo (speedy, aqualad, wonder girl, and kidflash) and if they are having teamups dont be sexist we need wonder woman i mean men cant be the only superheroes (even though i am a man) we should have all that. You might not read my post because its long but please read it.

I think the exploring more of the relationship of Catwoman and Batman would be the best. However, instead of him finding out her identy first it should be Catwoman finding out he's first. Then her deciding that the crimnal life isn't for her and decides to tell batman/bruce her identy then her joining the bat family. Oh and for Batman/Bruce Wayne and Catwoman/Selina to start dating. This series could be the first series explore the relation between the bat and cat. Them teaming in The Bat and The Cat episode was the best. Kill me if I love them too much lol.

First of all, welcome Catwoman12! I hope you are enjoying LoG. Second, I kind of disagree with your ideas for their relationship. While Catwoman certainly could find out Batman's identity first, I don't think she should. Batman is a detective. He wants to know who she is so that he can stop her crimes. Catwoman is a cat burglar, with a love for cats. I do not see where Catwoman would want to know or even really care who Batman is. I think in her eyes, it would ruin the mystique of the character. I have never thought that anyone should know who Batman is besides Alfred. I don't even really think the sidedkicks should know, though that would be somewhat problematic in nature. Why every movie has the love interest figure out his identity has never made sense to me.

The Batman Season 6 – SRA’s Overview…
After the events of the season 5 finale – batman realises he now is part of a team. The ever expanding network – the justice league has many new members but Batman has decided his main priority is ridding his city of crime.
601 – Vendetta
An arrival back in Gotham city; The Batman’s original ‘partner’ Yin has returned from metropolis after being deported in the events of the season 2 finale. She has been made Chief of Gotham PD – she gives Ethan his old job back now that he has fully recovered. Meanwhile ex-chief Rojas is planning on taking revenge on the one thing he blames for his downfall - The Batman.
602 – Would Not; Could Not; Would Not; Could Not
Jervis Tetch is a computer programmer working on a virtual ‘wonderland’ based on his favourite books ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ and ‘Through The Looking Glass’; however his obsession turns deadly when he dongs the identity of The Mad Hatter and kidnaps Vicky Vale to be his Alice. Can the Batman fight his way through wonderland and save Vicky from the Mad Hatter’s virtual tea party?
603 – Gothams Girls
Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn team up; with the Batman and Robin out of town; the city is theirs. But they soon realise that they not only have Yin and Batgirl after them but new justice league member – Wonder Woman.
604 – S.O.S. Batman
Alfred; ex-Mayor Grange; Leslie Thompkins; and others close to Bruce Wayne have been kidnapped by a newly restarted D.A.V.E. – Batman needs the help of Justice League to help save his loved ones. And to bring down the super computers re-activator.
605 – One Bird; Many Stones
A string of unsolved crimes points to the ‘reformed’ businessman Penguin. Is he to blame or could it be someone else. Harvey dent is introduced as well; showing he has an unstable side whilst he campaigns around Gotham.
606 – Curiosity Killed The Cat And Bat
Bruce and Selina have been on many dates over the years and finally it’s becoming serious. Batman and Catwoman continue playing cat and mouse during their late night chases. At the masked ball; Bruce discovers Selina is Catwoman. She also starts to speculate Bruce being the Batman. Can they ever be happy? Or is this it for the cat and the bat?
607 – Mind Over Matter
Hugo Strange uses his knowledge of the insane to push the already troubled D.A. Harvey Dent over the edge. Will the Batman be able to stop a mad man from creating another rogue for his gallery? Or is it already too late?
608 – Reap What You Sow
Barbara Gordon over the past three years has hoped her best friend Pamela Isley a.k.a. Poison Ivy will one day cured. Poison Ivy dismisses the help from Barbara and breaks out of Arkham and begins to destroy the city she blames for killing her babies. Batgirl realises that sometimes you cant save the people you want to once they have fallen into the Abyss. Once Ivy has been taken down; Barbara throws away a picture of the two of them; showing that their friendship is over.
609 – A Two Faced Coin
Harvey Dent is still recovering from his encounter with the villain Hugo Strange; Lesley Thompkins believes he may be still in need of recovery but Harvey wants to keep running for the elections. But Tragically Harvey is transformed into the villain Two face; after an encounter with the clown prince of crime Joker. Two face now answers to his coin only and blames his accident on fate.
610 – Whatever Happened To Harley Quinn?
Harley has been released from Arkham as sane and ready to return to her normal life like many of Batman’s ex-rogues. She sets up home with many cameo occupants from Arnold Wesker/The ventriloquist; Edward Nygma/Riddler; Dr Langstrom/Manbat and others. However Harley realises she is not meant for a normal life – so decides she must find away to get back into Arkham…
611 – The Comedy and The Tragedy {Part 1}
Batman must face off with his greatest rogues who once and for all want to destroy the Batman; Robin and Batgirl. The rogues including Joker; Two Face; Bane; Black Mask; Hugo Strange set up the trio which ends there fighting days for one of them. Bane manages to throw Batgirl into a wall. In a tragic twist of fate Batgirl is paralysed.
612 – The Cape And No Cowl {Part 2}
Wracked with guilt; Bruce decides to hang up his cape. He blames himself for everything that he has failed to save. Including his parents’ death; the creation of many villains and now Barbara. With many flashbacks to the night his parents died; as well as others from the series we can see how Batman takes a lot of responsibility he feels for the villains. Also lost loves in the form of Selina and Vicky Vale add to more insight. Alfred fears he will go into the Abyss like so many before; Bruce disappears into the night to seek answers.
613 – The Beginning With No End {Part 3}
Robin tries to find Batman but has little success. Batgirl decides she can still be part of the bat team and changes her name to oracle. Bruce has gone to see Ethan Bennett the only friend he managed to eventually save. Ethan reveals that Bruce has saved so many and that he shouldn’t blame himself for what’s happened to Batgirl {emphasising he knows he is the Batman}. Batman realises he must keep going; protecting Gotham always. He returns to Robin and Batgirl/Oracle and vows to never give up again.
The last shot is of the batman standing on a skyscraper looking at his city when the bat signal turns on {Homage to Batman 1989} and he swings off the building into the camera the last time.

Cheers Mate - well i will expand the ideas. Being a media student i watch shows and want things to be rounded off - storylines etc. For instance - Yin in the batman we know becomes Commissioner but she needs to return or at least be mentioned for her absence; same goes for Chief Rojas.
I also know Two face may be under the embargo but i thought i would include him. No scarecrow or Ras - but the one thing i dont get is why the Joker isnt under it?
Well i have showed my 13 episodes for my ideal season 6 - returning to the roots of the show and ending many things that must be completed.
If anyone has ideas for episodes please post!!# SRA

The series was great! Especially season 4 (I haven't seen any of 5 yet)! I'd like it to go on, but I'd doubt it. The "Villain taking over Arkham" storyline sounds good. And what happanes if they give us totally new series that's anime?! SRA, those are great ideas! You should really try to write these episodes

Also lost loves in the form of Selina and Vicky Vale add to more insight. Alfred fears he will go into the Abyss like so many before; Bruce disappears into the night to seek answers.

I love your ideas and enthusiasm. If you haven't already started on your season yet, here is what I would change. While I like the idea of the whole "Gotham Girls" thing, I would add a villain that would be worthy of Wonder Woman. While I enjoy Harley and Ivy team-ups, I do not see where there is a lot of room to expand on their interaction that has not already been done. I am not so sure about including Harvey Dent. First, he is not aloud currently (though that isn't really a big deal). Second, he is a very dark character for the show (again this is not that big of a deal unless the episodes were to be made). Third, should it really be Joker that does the whole "acid thing". I think it should be someone original. Perhaps Rojas? Fourth, a lot of Two-Face was adapted into Bennet. I like the DAVE idea. He is a villain worthy of the entire league. I love the inclusion of Hatter. Something I toyed around with in his character is that among other things, he has an inferiority complex. I also thought it would be fun if he wore hats all the time to cover up his bald spot. I love this character. It is a shame you aren't going with Scarecrow. I have always thought that him and Hatter or him and Langstrom would be awesome. Needs Black Mask and Riddler somewhere in there.

I also know Two face may be under the embargo but i thought i would include him. No scarecrow or Ras - but the one thing i dont get is why the Joker isnt under it?
If anyone has ideas for episodes please post!!# SRAWell, you can't really do Batman and not have Joker. Speaking of, I got an idea for an episode you can do. It's kind of like the Killing Joke in way. Joker escapes from Arkham again and prepares for his final revenge on Batman, while Batman also tries to figure out the Joker's plan. And during the episode, there are some scenes showing both of their origins. And the end of the episode would be their "final showdown,"

The villain Harley and Ivy team up with should be Cheetah. Like the bald spot for Hatter. Scarecrow is needed although he cant be used. Very good ideas in general. Good luck writing the episodes.

Man i love your ideas it would make an awsome season 6. i mean we have to introduce two-face and mad hatter. but i do think that scarecrow should be in this show, maybe not ras a gule though. i like the idea of going further into the "bat and cat" releationship. also i like the wonder woman introduction, but i think there should be a reason she becomes a member of the justice leauge.(we need at least one girl i mean theres only guys in the league!).
