now that The Batman is over what is gonna happen next? what year did BTAS end? (TNBA) and then what year did justice league start? (which was on for 5 years?) and then the batman started in 2004 right?
what is next, what will batman's next cartoon be like they are getting ready to start a new x-men cartoon which is more like the old x-men series, to me x-men evolution was kind of like the batman, different, younger audience, i hope our next batman show is more like BTAS
i'd love to see an adult aimed hbo spawn like batman cartoon but doubt we will see that i hope they dont make us wait too long!
i also hope they dont do a the batman style justice leageu show next~~~
i heard a rumor of a possible brave and bold cartoon (maybe in addition to a batman cartoon, not in place of...!)
with the dark knight coming out soon a new batman cartoon would be awsome but i know there is no hope of one so soon

Instead of just using a title like Batman Team Ups they are possibly going with The Brave & The Bold, so come on over in that thread posted above and join the fun and discussion =)

Batman is in every episode. i'd say that makes it a Batman cartoon. Superman's in about every Legion of Superheroes episode. Does that make it a Superman cartoon?

Legion of Superheroes is an actual team show. it's like Justice League and Teen Titans. a case can be made that it's a Superman show, but technically it's a Legion show. Brave and the Bold is going to be Batman plus one other hero in every episode. that makes it a Batman show. it cant be called any other character's show as only Batman is in every episode. in Legion of Superheroes, multiple characters appear in each episode. so yes you can call it a Superman show, but you'd also have to call it a Brainiac 5 show, and a Lightning Lad show, and etc, etc.

B&B wont be indentified as a Batman cartoon unless Batman is in the title. Thats just the way people respond to things like this. I dont see this as a "Batman" cartoon. Is it going to have Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Gordon, all the rogues in each episode? If not, then its not a "Batman" cartoon. Its a team up show that features Batman. Seems to me that they cant seem to get it right post TAS, thats why all weve basically had has been JL supported shows. They even had to fall back to that for TB, but it was too little too late. WB puts so many restrictions on their own property that its imposible to get a 100% complete line up of characters on cartoons or toy lines. We dont know anything 100% on this show yet, just a basic premise. Im betting this will turn into just another Justice League.

Batman's name isnt in it, it must not be a Batman movie then. Batman's name doesnt have to be in the title for it to be about him. this is clearly a Batman team-up show. it's not a general team-up show, as Batman is in every single episode. he's the feature character in every episode. so yes, this is a Batman show. as much as you guys seem to not want it to be, it is.

Where did I say I didnt want it to be a Batman show? I said it wont be identified as such by the people. If you go to someone and say "are you gonna watch Brave and Bold?" they wont know what youre talking about. Im referring to an actual Batman titles cartoon about his allies and villains. This isnt going to be it. This is a team up show, just like JL, just like Legions. Those to me arent Batman or Superman cartoons in the way that we are discussing. Youre giving a general classification to these shows, Im talking more about specifics. Just like comic titles. Gotham Central for instance focused on the GCPD, that to me isnt a Batman title, its just grouped in as part of the family of titles. Also, The Dark Knight is a name that most poeple have come to associate with Batman so bringing up those arguments to try to make a point is just you tring to be a dick as usual. But it doesnt matter, youre always right about everything, even if youre wrong.

Recent histroy has shown us that WB cant seem to handle an individual character show, it has to bring in the outside characters to maintain it. Its my guess this will become another JL show, plain and simple.

Gotham Central is a Batman title as each issue had the bat symbol on it which classified it as a bat title, but i'm talking about Gotham Underground, which is a Batman title without his name in it.

Its my guess this will become another JL show, plain and simple. Batman: TAS Superman: TAS Batman Beyond Static Shock Zeta Project all of those shows lasted for at least 2 seasons, i'd say they can handle individual character shows. they've only made 2 team shows and 5 individual shows. so far the individual shows have a better track record than team shows.

Zeta? You serious? That garbage lasted what, 1 year? Also, those shows have been off for awhile. I said recent years. Everything theyve done has been a team up show, JL, Titans, Legions. The Batman has been the only one and that never gained the popularity or support the previous Batman and Superman cartoons had. There was more of a division from fans and kids on TB than any of those other shows. So, whatd they do? The brought in the other heroes. Heck, even some of the original people of TB left the friggin show, and you cant say it was just to persue other things, they knew the show just didnt have it. These character retrictions and garbage is WB's own downfall when it comes to doing successful media. And what is being said about a yet to be shown cartoon and what is actually going to be done with it is 2 totally different things. Until I see an official WB release of the episodes and characters I still stand by my theory that this is going to be another JL type cartoon.

How 'bout that, they put Batman in the title.
Gues that makes all this null and void.

Based on a reliable source (a writer who worked on several episodes of The Batman), it's looking like The Brave and the Bold will, in fact, be a continuation of The Batman's established universe, rather than the entirely new version we've previously been led to believe it would be. The following are statements made by said writer;
"The Batman wasn't cancelled, it was the Kids WB network that was "cancelled" -- The Batman is continuing onward as The Brave and The Bold and switching to the Cartoon Network. It will feature the same designs, voices, etc. It's simply Batman doing superhero match-ups somewhat like some of Season five."
"My point in writing here is to offer what I do know about the upcoming Brave and The Bold version of Batman. It will be airing on the Cartoon Network in the late fall. There is a 26 episode commitment at this point. As you know or expect, it will be a Batman-based superhero match-up show. But The plan is NOT to use the same old superheroes. For instance, one of the first match-ups will be Batman and Blue Beetle. Robin and Batgirl are not expected to figure in the show. It's being story edited by Michael Jelenic who was in charge of the writing on Season 4 of The Batman."
"The match-ups will be different. Not the same old Justice League members. As I said before, the match-up focus will be on less known figures such as Blue Beetle. This is all in the planning stages, but there's always a chance that the Cartoon Network could get nervous and demand more familiar superheroes show up. We'll see..."
I've been given flack for throwing his name around in prior message forums I've released this information at, so you'll have to excuse me for not revealing his identity. But trust me, he would know what he's talking about.

This entire argument is ridiculous and juvenile. there is no argument and wasnt an argument. there was a friendly debate on whether or not this was a Batman show, once it was revealed that the name of the show was planning to be called Batman: The Brave and The Bold it ended. Ruseri's posts just solidifies the fact that this is a Batman show. but there was no argument or anything of the kind going on in this thread. just friendly discussion.

My thing about that report from the supposed writer is that it conflicts with every other rumor we have heard about this show. We orginally heard that it would not be in continuity with THE BATMAN and be a whole new show. We even got some evidence of this from the guy who said he auditioned for the role of Batman. He said he didn't get it, BUT did hear the guy that did. Said it was different. But now we have this writer who says its basically just THE BATMAN renamed and moved to Cartoon Network. His report goes against everything we had heard up till then. It just seems that we don't know which one, if either, is credible. The guy saying he auditioned or the guy saying he is a writer for the show. Really wish something official would come out about this show. DrGreenEvil

This really seems to change things. I dont know about this show being a continuity, we'll just have to wait for confirmations. But I do hope The Batman continues, I've grown fond of the show. I, however, seem doubtful about this being a continuity. Already having a Brave and Bold Season 5, it'd seem awkward IMO to go on and develop a whole new show out of it. I would prefer Bat-Family episodes .

With this show, I think they are going more for a DCU show than another Batman show. Batman is more there just to sell it and help cross promote some with the new movie. People know Batman and will already have a huge audience just because hes there.
What I think would be really cool for this show is if in season one it is Batman teaming up with everyone. But then next season Wonder Woman takes over teaming up with everyone. Every season stars a new hero teaming up. I think that would be cool.

Viewing different forums, it seems highly possible that it will indeed be a continuation. People have been saying that they've heard from sources that the produces of the Brave and the Bold will be introducing many other League members. Still, nothing is 100%,

But it would be cool to see a Year One Batman show. Maybe they could expand on the Gotham Knight DVD and make a whole series. Call it Legends of the Dark Knight. Just picture it.
