Hello,
I'm hoping that someone could give me some info on a Batman jacket that I own. I got the jacket around the first Batman film came out and is in perfect condition. The tag inside of the jacket shows '1989 Columbia Pictures', which I think is kind of odd since the film was released by Warner Brothers. Could someone please shed some light on this and if anyone knows the value of it? Thank you.

I could probably help you out on this if you could post a couple pics of the jacket. The front, back, and of the tag.

I know many many many Batman "jackets" exist. Regular retail or specialty shop? childrens or adult size? Leather? denim? what graphics? This could even be a knock off possibly.

As far as the Columbia Pictures on the tag, I couldnt tell ya. They did make these satin jackets back in 89 in abundance and varied in styles. Some had actual emroiderd emblems, some had patches sewn onto the jacket, both embroidered and the satiny style. These type of jackets pop up from time to time and can usually be had for about $40.

Well, the Columbia pictures thing is interesting. See, Columbia was bought by Coke back in the early 80s and as you know, there was a big Coke ad push with the 1989 batman film, and a commercial for it was even included on the VHS release prior to the film. So..its potentially possible that this is some kind of Coke tie-in product.
