Regarding the *eventual "End" of JLU (and the DCAU as we know it), Series Executive Producer Dwayne McDuffie recently responded to questions on his forum. In which he confirmed:
The JLU Ep. "Devided We Fall" was truly written with the full intention of being the series finale, and the JLU Ep. "Epilogue" was in fact fully designed and intended to be the final farewell bow to the entire DCAU.
When asked if they now know what, if any plans the team have in store for a finale at this point? Mr. McDuffie responded:
"We know. I really think it should hae been "Epilogue" but we've got another ending up our sleeve if it becomes nessesary".
Woo Hoo!

Season Five episode confirmation:
"Ancient History" (unknown Ep# / placement)= Hawkman episode. "Far from Home" (unknown Ep# / placement)= Supergirl and Legion of Superheroes.
Can only assume these are in reletively consecutive order from what we already know, and that the remaining three mystery Eps. (or two of the three) are the finale? Since all info so far has pointed to a two part season finale this time out?
Toonzone Etc. are posting rumors from an anonymous supposed "insider" that the WBA Dept. at CN are all packed up and cleared out their offices... and CN have not (and supposedly will not) renew any contracts with WBA? (Warner Bros. Animation = Bruce Timm Etc.)
Naturally dont give any credit or validity to this unknown source at this time, but this info sure meshes with everything else (rumor and otherwise IMO)... no matter how incredibly depressing and Stupid!
We can only hope we at least even get to see the remains of this season (even six friggin months from now) and hope for a few more glee filled geek-tastic surprises before the end! -Personally (and pure speculation on my part), but I'm taking a fanboy frenzy guess and bettin we see a Nightwing appearance!?
Heres hoping "the end" is not absolute.

It is great that we have some new episode information. I had heard about a LoSH episode about six months ago. I hope that this isn't the end of the DCAU, but I am starting to accept it to be true.
I'll be pulling for Nightwing! That would be a great finale for them to finally settle things between Batman and Nightwing. They need to have some of Nightwing's villains on too. That would be really cool. Maybe even have a cameo from Tim Drake.

Yeah Darknightwing but we were just recently given the actual title... "Far From Home".
I think Everybody's dream (at least mine for sure) is for at least one good Bat-family cameo. Just to solidify their existance Etc. in JLU or just acknowledge their existance on screen! How awesome and sweet would it be for the League to be all but decimated or in dire need of reinforcements and suddenly a dull hum of turbines can be heard above the battlefield... pan up to the silhouette of the Batwing and all the sudden we're treated to Robin, Nightwing and Batgirl swooping down to snatch victory for the entire League!?

SUPPOSEDLYyy.... (per comics2film)
JLU RETURNING on FEB 11th !
No other specifics nor the source is cited.
Heres hoping its true and also not goping to be a singular "event" if it does air that date. My guess though, is if it does, we'll either get another back to back episode airing or only a couple new Ep's before returning to limbo?
We'll see

Ok so I just got my new issue of Wizard mag #173, and to my surprise there's an 4 page article about Bruce Timm and the JLU!! In the article it says JLU resumes third season (no specific date) and that this 3rd season they will be focusing more on the villans than the heroes!!!

Two good news hit us this past week. One: on Feb. 11th, JLU returns on Cartoon Network. Two...well...
Episode #35 - Grudge Match Roulette starts Metabrawl (“Cat and Canary”) again, this time with an all-female fight card made up of Justice Leaguers.
Episode #36 - Far From Home Supergirl, Green Lantern and Green Arrow travel into the future where they meet the Legion of Super Heroes and their enemies The Fatal Five.
Episode #37 - Ancient History The Shadow Thief returns and so does Hawkman as more mysteries from “Shadow of the Hawk” are explored.
Episode #38 - Alive (Part 1) In a knock-down drag out battle on Earth and in space, the power moving behind the scenes of the villains is revealed leading to the most unexpected team-up in Justice League history.
Episode #39 - Destroyer (Part 2) In a knock-down drag out battle on Earth and in space, the power moving behind the scenes of the villains is revealed leading to the most unexpected team-up in Justice League history.
We are in for a real treat!

On a curious note regarding the final JLU episode loglines: Series Writer / Producer Dwayne McDuffie stated on his site that the just released descriptions of this season's final episodes arent "entirely accurate", but they're "close".? ? Hmmmm
There also seems to be a lot of confusion and denial regarding the "cancellation" of JLU. I'm sure its most likely a case of hope against hope, denial, and wishful thinking, but nobody seems to want to admit or go on record with a definitive answer/statement? everything is still third hand info... albeit some at least from reliable sources. It seems the only "absolute" details are that the production crew have "moved on to other projects for now". Yeesh.
I cant wait to see what the finale really holds!?

Seriously stinks. Assuming JLU / DCAU related shows are no more, CN has NOTHING to offer me. Nothing. I'm not naive enough to think my viewership means anything to the network, but seriously, I alone know at least a dozen people who will have absolutely NO reason to tune into that chanel any longer.

I agree with ya Batlaw, I have no reason to watch CN if and when they pull the DCAU. Well maybe a little for the classics like Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes, but that's it!!

Im actually really digging this season so far! At first nothing seemed overly spectacular, dramtic or super "heavy" like cadmus. But now see it doesnt seem to have been meant to? in fact, its simply "fun". the trend (and no doubt since its the final bow) has been all about paying "service" to the fans and the creators.? Theyve had the chance to really pay homage to classic characters, stories etc. and have given the fans seemingly every little tidbit of possible fan candy they can get away with. This season, the stories ultimately seem to be taking a bit of a side step to just enjoying the medium and the last oportunities to have fun with in such a great sandbox. The season's plotline seams like a near afterthought or distraction this time out (and I'm not complaining in this case). As I fealt when we learned we were even going to get a fifth season in the first place... everyone of these remaining episodes feels entirely like surprise icing on the cake!

"Episode #39 - Destroyer (Part 2) In a knock-down drag out battle on Earth and in space, the power moving behind the scenes of the villains is revealed leading to the most unexpected team-up in Justice League history".
I wonder how far of a stretch it would be to even consider this "unexpected team up" being the Justice League and the Teen Titans!? hmmm probably not?

Oh mon oh man oh man... am I the only one praying and hoping against hope we get a super shocker and are treated to an hour long "Destroyer" finale!?
I know its incredibly unlikely and I would never get my hopes up for something that awesome, but I still cant accept the fact theyre gonna be able to wrap things up in 22 min!? Series finale or not, just the events from "Alive" alone cannot be fairly concluded with justice in 22min? and there are so many issues left to be addressed and rectified, even when allowing many many things "left unanswered and for another day" (which I agree should be done). But how sweet and appropriate would it be if the reasons behind the delays in production, airing, and delay in issuing statements on ep details, and word on the show's "cancellation" was to approve, tweek/redo some things, and complete a TRUE finale? Im not foolish enough to hold my breath lol, but I will cross my fingers.

We can only hope for some more DCAU DTV releases. If not, then this really is the end. I love alot of the characters on the show, but its Conroy's Batman that I'll miss the most.

I havnt posted the link but a Toonzone post by Bruce Timm has been around for a few days now and linked on several websites such as AFI... Within, Mr. Timm confirms several things about JLU both known and suspected: The first and foremost being that Mr. Timm is without question ALL CLASS!
Now specifically regarding the status of JLU, any remaining hope the show would go on can be forgotten. Mr. Timm has clarrified the show is officially put to pasture. Furthermore; there is NO hint even that he might be currently working personally on anything DCAU related. It should also be noted Dwayne McDuffie has specifically stated neither is he.
Finally, for all intent and purpose Mr. Timm confirmed (in a most classy and tactful manner possible), that JLU is not only "cancelled" but essentially for no "valid", "just", or defendable reason whatsoever (just as Dwayne McDuffie and others have routinely stated, the show is FAR more popular and profitable than even us hardcore fans realize). Not about Money. Not about Ratings Etc. JLU is consistantly TOP in ratings (as weve all known) and the toys Etc. are constantly selling as well (again as weve all seen). When "reading between the lines", its obvious (and NO surprize) that repeated refrences to "Egos" and "inter office politics" ARE present and "nastier" and equate to more than simple friendly dissagreements or polite differences of opinion Etc. And that at the end of the day, the desicions of those in charge are NOT made about money or for "the greater good of the company" as some people online have tried to convince. Sad but true and anyone whose ever held a job knows as much. Speaking of the toys, Mr. Timm again quotes his associates with the JLU line have assured him there are "at least three more major waves of figures to come over the next 18 months". I personally really hope that wont be all.
In my most humble opinion, NO, not ALL good things MUST come to an end! Some things do run their course. Many or even most shows do eventually "jump the shark". It is often best to "go out while still on top".... but Justice League Unlimited and or any possible variation thereof, still had plenty of life left in it and it DESERVES to evolve and continue. I still firmly believe we Will see more DCAU in one form or another, but its still just quite heartbreaking to see something so special go before it's time. God bless the entire creative team, production crew, staff, and anyone and everyone to ever have played a part in bringing this to life!

But instead of getting down for it being cancelled or complaining more about the jackasses who are responsible for its cancellation we should celebrate the remaining episodes and how much much Mr. Timm and company have contributed toward making animation as a whole better and more mature to all of us who enjoy it still as adults. They made who knows how many people around the world fall in love with loads of DC characters and it's something they should be proud about. And I'm not sure if they would ever see this or not but I would like to say thank you for providing me hours upon hours of enjoyment when I needed it the most.

According to posts on Toonzone, CN has put JLU back into limbo till supposedly mid April? It's true apparently. After they show those Miazaki movies for the next few weeks, that BoBoBo show gets the 10:30 spot. NOBODY WATCHES BOBOBO AND THEY AIR THAT PIECE OF CRAP INSTEAD OF JUSTICE LEAGUE?! WHAT THE **** IS WRONG WITH CARTOON NETWORK?!

So...did I miss the final episodes? Did Cartoon Network ever show the remainder of the series. I was all set to record Justice League and then nada...
I can't seem to find any reference to the scheduled airdates online.
Can anyone help? I don't want to miss the ending of Justice League Unlimited.

Last word is it will return sometime in "mid April"? Possibly the 15th?

I can't remember what thread this was discussed in originally... I thought it was in a "Grudge Match" talkback thread, discussing Nightwing's cameo at the beginning, but I don't see that thread anymore - anyway, the question came up about a previous mention of Bludhaven in the Timm-verse; one member (Casimir) thought it was in a "Batman Beyond" ep, but couldn't recall which one - since it is spring break in my district (I am a high school English teacher) I have taken the opportunity to watch some of the old episodes and came upon the reference in "Untouchable" - Wayne mentions Bluhaven as a possible source of the radioactive isotope that the criminal is seeking. Now all of you can finally get some sleep. ;D

GOOD NEWS- Justice League is back this Saturday night! ;D
BAD NEWS- They go back into seclusion because CN is airing the Ultimate Avengers movie the 22nd.
If CN keeps playing these movies, we'll never get any JLU airtime.
