thats bad marketing, dont you think? i mean, yes, its cool we'll get to see it before we decide to actually buy it, but judging from the reviews, that might be a bad thing for WB.

In this case, I don't think anything will hurt it! lol. Any fan already knows how badly they've screwed up the voice casting.....hell, WB itself isn't even doing review copies for this one! Thats pretty sad.

The World's Finest review doesn't make it sound like it'll sell much anyway. If anything maybe more people will watch it now.

I just realized that I have to work for up until 8. I hope the first half hour isn't the best of the movie...

Well, after watching it on Cartoon Network, I gotta say, it's not worth $20. My main problem was Luthor and Brainiac. They couldn't get the original voice actors? And Luthor was just to hokey and Brainiac actually showed some emotion while pounding Superman. If you ask me, this is the animation equivalent to Batman & Robin.

I thought it sucked! Not just the voice acting, I thought the few action scenes it had were very poorly done, I found myself really annoyed at how long and clumsy they seemed. What a bust!

My son and I watched it Saturday, we were disappointed. It was like watching a bad copycat of STAS. I was, at first, excited to hear Tim Daly was back as the voice of Superman, but after viewing the movie, it seemed as if he kinda lost the character. As if he was away too long and couldnt remember how to play him. Lex, what the devil? Bad voice choice. Bad animating of his character. Bad writing of his character. He was like an extra from Tiny Toons Adventures. Silly expressions, bad puns, not Lex Luthor. Brainiac. I was open to the voice change, hes a computer, that could change. I found it a little difficult to understand what he was saying in some spots tho, the voice acting was too low and drone.
To say this wasnt a part of any past TAS continuity just seems like an excuse for the bad job that was done. This is Superman. If you are going to put out an animated movie in an existing style to promote an upcoming live movie, then do it right. I think this was just another quick attempt for WB to capitolize and make a quick buck and not have much regard for previous work or for fans.

I personally think that the voice actors for Lex and Brainiac should have switched roles. Powers Booth would have done a better job as Brainiac and Lance Henrickson would have done a better job as Lex. This is definatley a kiddie movie if I have ever seen one. The only reason this came out was to capitalize on RETURNS.
