Did anyone watch Return to the Batcave on CBS back in March 2003? If so, what were your thoughts on it? I enjoyed it for the most part. Especially the intro with Adam West in his smoking coat. Hilarious

I watched and recorded it at the time. Needless to say, it wasnt Hamlet lol. If you enjoy the original series in ANY capacity it's deffinately worth seeing. Just pure fun and nostalgia! Great insight into the era and those involved as well as being simply a treat to see the old gang together again. Revisiting the props, scenes and sets was great fun too!

[shadow=red,left,300]I recorded it at the time it aired. It was nothing but mindless, goofy fun. It wasn't until that movie did I know that Lyle Waggoner from the Carol Burnett Show was "this close" to portraying Batman.[/shadow]

Speaking of Lyle Waggoner, I've got a vid of his original screen test, sent to me by a very kind soul.

Yeah, RTBC was a great nostalgia trip for me too! Actually, the movie worked on 2 different levels, much like the original show. The scenes with Adam and Burt were quite comical and tongue in cheek, while the flashbacks were more restrained and a tad dramatic, where they had to be. If you've read Adam's memoir, you already know half the stuff thats in the movie, anyhow.

True, "Back to the Batcave" is a great book to read if your a fan of the 60's TV show, or Adam West in general. I highly suggest it. As far as the movie, for me, it was great to see some of the old cast together again. They all had such great chemistry on the show, and it was great to see it again on the movie. I'm in search of the DVD right now actually.

I thought it was great, I still have it on tape! I loved the constant ripping on Burt Ward by Adam West in a playful way, for example how he always had Burt paying for everything, that was great.
