I have the old Adam West movie on VHS. I don't know if they had a DVD for it or the show. I haven't seen the show in years though. I wouldn't mind getting to finally see everyone on the Lamest Villain poll. I only recall King Tut. The rest I either found out about on here or off of wikipedia. It has comic bios on every DC hero and villain I could think of.

Has the show ever been released for a DVD boxset? Unfortunately not,all you can get is the Movie. There's been Licensing rights battles over it for years, but keep your fingers crossed that they will be released one day.

CBS and Fox have wars over it...because one owns distribution rights and one owns the tv rights, or some such nonsense.

I think they should just split the profits and release all 120 episodes, and the pilot to DVD, the season one box could feature Batman, Season Two could feature Robin, and season three as much as I don't like her could feature Batgirl, or Batman and Robin.
They owe it to the fans...

I think it will come eventually, as soon as the greedy holes, stop arguing for the sake of money. After all they made a killing on it when it was on tv. They owe it to us. & i think it should include the screentests for both Adam, & that other guy (as Batman) & with the diferent Robins. & Burt Ward's audition/ the short pilot that made them introduce Batgirl.

the pilot run with Robert Wagner, that would be pretty cool...
I hope it comes to pass.

I would love it if they released a boxed set. I imagine it will happen eventually.
In the meantime, the movie DVD should tide you over. I especially recommend the West/Ward commentary. It's hilarious.

It'll happen eventually. It'll happen because it'll make a fortune on dvd all over the world just on pure nostalgia value alone, it's one of those shows that everybody over a certain age knows and remembers. Problem is both sides know it'll make a lot of money, and both sides are greedy. But one day they'll hammer out a deal, I'm sure of it...I just hope it happens while we still have some of the key cast members (not least of all Adam West and Burt Ward) alive and willing to share their experiences for audio commetary tracks and retrospective docos.
We can but live in hope.
Sev.

I know of no such DVD set! But I wish they would release one though. That would be neat! I'll pray and hope for the best!
