And, finally, we come to the end of the Batman: The Animated Series DVDs with the 3rd Season/ volume...It's been an amazing time watching them, and now it's time to find out which episode was your favorite...
My favorite episodes [out of these] would have to be The Demon's Quest Parts I & II, Riddler's Reform, Read My Lips, and Second Chance.
I absolutley LOVED David Warner's voice as the Demon's Head, Ra's al Ghul, and especially the fact that the episode/ episodes was/ were almost EXACTLY the same as the original thanks to Denny O'Neil guest writing these episodes...
I loved Riddler's Reform because, IMO, there weren't enough episodes featuring the Riddler in the original series; my favorite part of the whole episode has to be the sequence where Batman is at the Riddler's party...
I loved Second Chance, because it was able to show more of the human side of Harvey Dent, while, also showing that he is his own worst enemy...
Read my lips was also a favorite of mine, because it's the way that I would basically have the Ventriloquist/ Scarface in a movie; that, and if you own the DVDs, listen to Bruce Timm's reaction/ Kevin Conroy impersonation to Batman's extreme response to Scarface being a puppet..."WHAT?! A-PUPPET?!" ;D
At the end of the day, however, I'm going to have to go with The Demon's Quest, Part II. It stayed true to the comics, had a fantastic voice cast, and it established Ra's as a new Batman villain in the cartoons...
What's your favorite episode and why?

I also found this another hard choice - I went for Trial as like Almost got 'im has all the great villains in it but i jsut like the way it was done -- I found out that this was originally going to be a movie but MOTP was preffered!
I also love Avatar, House And Garden, Harlequinaide and Baby-Doll are also amazing!

[shadow=purple,left,300]"Read My Lips" was an interesting episode. It had a lot of suspense, especially leading up to the revelation that Scarface was indeed a puppet. It's been years since I've seen the episode, but it ranks up there as one of my all-time favorites.
Honorable mentions go to "Trial," "The Demon's Quest," "Shadow of the Bat" and "Harley's Holiday."[/shadow]

WHOA...I never knew that it [Trial] was going to be a movie! You get a'hero'in for telling me about that! Yeah, I also think that Harlequinaide was amazing...That, and on the DVD commentary, I got Paul Dini's question to the fans right; "What was the name of the Joker's hyenas?"= Bud and Lou...A tribute to Bud & Lou Costello... ;D

Bane was my favorite from season 3. That episode's one of my favorites because of Bane's heavily-accented line of "Wel-come to my ah-renah Bahtman!" ;D I don't know how to properly state how much I love that line...For some reason, I love this line... ;D

If the thing would let me vote, I'd say the Demon's Quest pt. 2, because that two-parter is one of my favorites from the whole series. Partly for nostalgia, because i really had a great time watching it as a kid, but mainly because it's just a great episode, with a great villain. But all of the B:TAS episodes have different meanings to me, and I love them all.

That, and it had David Warner as the voice actor for Ra's, who was, IMO, one of the best villains of the show because of the voice...

It was the voice that made Ra's a great villain. And it worked for Liam Neeson in Begins as well.

I picked Showdown. It was such a cool era to set the story in. Even without Batman, it kept you interested.

Yeah Showdown is the old west episode. It begins with Batman and Robin chasing after Ra's Al Ghul, and they listen to a story that Ra's tells them about some events that took place in the old west, you don't really see how the story fits into the plot until the very end. It has a pretty good twist. The best part though is Jonah Hex, he's a bounty hunter who is after a man called Arkady Duvall (voiced by Malcolm McDowell). I think Hex was in one episode of JLU also.

This episode sounds intriguing...And here, I thought that the writers were just losing touch with the fans/ the core of the show, and were just reusing cliche settings, like the "wild west", or, "a parallel universe"...Thanks for the information TheKingpun! ;D

Haven't finished viewing my DVD set of Season Three, but my favorite so far is Harlequinade. It is soo funny.
I love the part in the Batmobile. HARLEY: I wanna listen to the radio! BATMAN: DON'T!!
Lol...
BATMAN: You don't touch anything, say anything, or do anything UNLESS I TELL YOU TO!!! GOT IT?!!
Ha ha ha ha, and Harley making faces at him afterwards is priceless. This episode really shows how cute and spunky Harley Quinn can be. Plus, it's got the Joker!!!
The commentary for this is also fun. I know that I like the darker episodes in the previous seasons, but this one has got to be my favorite for this season.

HARLEY: See, do I know how Mister J thinks, or what? Ha! And here you thought I was just another bubble-headed-blonde-bimbo! Well the joke's on you, I'm not even a real blonde!
Cracks me up everytime - It's something i mite say! And it's true bout me!

Hey, does anyone here remember this episode "Avatar"? I haven't seen it in years, and, I have yet to buy the 3rd Season/ Volume DVDs...What was it about? Was it a Ra's [al Ghul] episode? It is indeed a Ra's al Ghul episode, in which Ra's goes to Egypt, followed, of course, by Bats and Talia(who is shocked to learn her father is alive, since this is the next Ra's ep after "The Demon's Quest"), in order to revive an ancient Egyptian empress/sorceress, whom he thinks will grant him power. She ends up almost sucking the life out of Ra's(who later recovers), and Batman has to "clean up the mess." At the end, Batman has Ra's - and I believe Ubu, also - prisoner, and tells Talia he's going to turn those two in(to whom, I can't imagine), and Talia pulls a Talia( ;D), pulling a gun on Bats and escaping with her father and Ubu. This is an act of extreme loyalty, as, if I remember correctly, Ra's was willing to sacrifice her(and Batman, altho one might not call that a sacrifice) for his plans earlier in the ep, but Batman escaped with her. That's the summary.

I had to vote for "Trial". I just watched that ep again today on my DVD box set with my kids...it was definately the best represetation of a lot of the villain characters.

Wow, this was a difficult choice. I voted for Deep Freeze, but Riddler's Reform is also a favorite of mine. Deep Freeze really goes into Victor Freeze as a three dimensional character. His love for his wife is so strong and there's so much tragedy involved that you really see him more then just a crazy villain. Great episode, IMO.

I had to vote for "Bane", because not only it is my favorite 3rd season show, but my favorite episode of all. The battle with Bane ended, IMO, in the only way that a fight like this could have; with Batman winning out over the creature who "broke him" in the comic book! The ending with Batman severing Bane's "lifeline" with the Batarang, was the only way this battle should have ended!!! And I applaud the writers and directors for it!

Another difficult decision. Im going with Demons Quest. I always loved the Ra's stories from the 70's, and it was cool to see Denny O Neil translate his first appearance story into animated format.
I also have to give props to Baby Doll. Alot of people dont get into episodes that doesnt feature a main rogue, but this had some good writing. I particularly like the ending where Bats chases Baby into the House of Mirrors where she sees herself as a full grown woman. She starts to explain that she never wanted this life, she only wanted to be normal with a normal family and then she shoots the mirror with all her remainig bullets. Batman simply walks over to her as she begins to cry and she says "I didnt mean to." good stuff.

Just got done with Disc 1 of Volume 3, I have a few more discs to watch before I vote, but after Disc 1 I would lean towards one of The Demon's Quest episode's, probably part 1. And the worst episode for me so far was Blind as Bat, only because The Penquin is really lame in The Animated Series. And does anybody know if the episode entitled His Silicon Soul was inspired from T2 because of how popular the film was around the time of this episode?

I have 1 1/2 more discs to go before I am throught the entire third volume of Batman. And a few things that may be worth mentioning are The Episode titled "Time out of Joint" introduces the new intro to Batman as The Adventures of Batman & Robin, and shows new clips and has new music, pretty cool.
And after watch 2 1/2 discs my favorites so far are all the ones with Ras Ah Ghul, Demon's Quest 1 & 2 and Avatar was really well done. I think it is great when we get to see Bruce Wayne as Bruce and not dressed as Batman.
Bullet for Bullock is a great one as well. Just the old style private eye type music that is playing is great.
