[shadow=green,left,300]I finally got to pick this one up today! I haven't been able to read it yet..I will do my review tomorrow night....but the extra pages are an old TNBA catwoman story! It looks great!....oh and the cover looks WAY darker and better in person than on the art we've seen online! Its really amazing.
how about the rest of you? what do you think about the writing v the art? Lets hear it folks!
more friday.[/shadow]

[shadow=green,left,300]Ok, firstly this issue was really well done. They just keep getting better and better! The writing is much improved. This being the debut of Joker in the comic, I was not disappointed. Bill managed to write Joker's dialogue the way you might expect btas joker to speak...much better than the show! Chris's artwork is amazing as always! What strikes me most about his work is that you could just omit the words, and his drawings would tell the story alone...fantastic art. I highly recommend this book to any fan of the toon! [/shadow]

I agree Matt, this issue was well done, in fact I would have preffered this story was used on the cartoon rather than what they ended up using. It would have had to be reworked some but it could have been a decent introduction to the Joker character. Let's hope the writers on the show take a lesson from this issue next time they write The Joker.

I do think this comic is being done very well, however, and I'm not trying to be overly critical, and no offense to the writer of this comic, whom I respect greatly, but the stories and dialogue in this comic seem a bit goofy to me. However, I'm sure this will improve, as it can be attributed to the writer's not having seen the show before writing the first 4 issues. And the comic is great, considering those circumstances. Christopher Jones, great job on the artwork, too! Also, all the covers look fabulous, are they illustrated by Christopher Jones, or Jeff Matsuda? This comic is improving steadily, and I know it will soon satisfy even my picky tastes. ;D One thing though, and this is a microscopic complaint, but Bruce does not do Karaoke!!! ;D

Perhaps they should let Bill have a crack at writing an episode! (hint hint WB!) ...and the covers are drawn by Jeff Matsuda, colored by Dave McCaig.[/shadow]

[shadow=blue,left,300]The issue was fantastic! Once again, I will say that i have NO ISSUES with this version if The Joker! A very well done story, IMO! And the extra Catwoman/ WW story was a fun read as well![/shadow]

I liked how the Joker changed into the referee costume for the later parts of the comic; it brought back memories of the old animated Batman cartoons and comics. The artwork and story were great and the covers are really nicely done. I have a bunch of issues from the "Adventures in the DC Universe" series buried somewhere; it was fun rereading that story.
