[shadow=green,left,300]Okay..for you fans of The Batman Strikes...be aware of the following scoop from LoG:
Issue #10 was slated to be that one focused on Alfred that Chris mentioned to us in our last live chat and Biill has spoken of here on the forum. Well thats been pushed back to #11 by DC, and #10 will feature a different writer/artist team, to give the current team a production "cushion" if you will. That way that have a month to play with should anything go wrong.
All in all it'll be interesting to see an issue kinda out of place and its nice to let Chris and Bill have a breather! Nice thinkin' DC. Though I will miss that beautiful Christopher Jones artwork for a month.[/shadow]

The Joker will be featured in #9. The Alfred story that was to follow that story will now appear in #11. I don't yet have further information on the fill-in issue that will be #10.

I volunteer - I'll do any work necessary to help fill in. After the issue sees print, I'll send Faithfulbutler that autographed copy we talked about....

Sounds interesting. Though it will be very odd not having Bill and Chris at the helm of what has become one of my favorite books, even if only for one issue.
And, Matt...please do not forget to feed Chris this time! That cage doesn't allow for pizza delivery after all!

I just have bad flashbacks to when Batman Adventures did this exact same thing for issue #9...they took Ty, Rick and Terry off it for a month..and it was simply terrible, IMO. Now I have high hopes that they'll bring in someone good for Strikes #10. I'll pick it up and give it a chance either way. hmm Will senor Matsuda be doing the cover for this one as well?[/shadow]

Dave,
Can't wait to see your cover for #10. You've been doing fantastic work on these covers. I just got my copies of #6 and that cover is all about your color work. Love the snowflakes!

[shadow=green,left,300]Here's the cover for Batman Strikes #10 a little early for ya.[/shadow] www.legionsofgotham.org/THEBATMANstrikes10solicit.jpg [/img] [shadow=red,left,300]Now maybe someone on the strikes team can clarify...but I wonder if this won't move on to be #11's cover? Or if this will actually be for #10.[/shadow]

That's the first I've seen of that cover art, but I imagine it'd be for #11 - the Alfred story. That issue will follow Alfred as he tried to keep Wayne Manor and the Batcave running smoothly while Batman deals with The Penguin and other trouble. So if that's not the cover for that issue, I'd be very surprised...

[shadow=purple,left,300]Is it just me, or does Alfred look extremely vengeful in that pic?
BTW, an excellent cover indeed! I'm looking forward to the Alfred story, since I find him to be an extremely interesting character.[/shadow]

LoG has learned that the creative team behind Strikes #10 will be writer Matthew Manning and artist Wes Craig. Manbat will be the villian! You heard it here first.

[shadow=green,left,300]Everyone please welcome writer Matthew K. Manning to our forum!
he's another shining example of those great few in the industry, willing to take time out of their busy lives to interact a bit with their fans. You may know Matthew from a past interview we did with him in 2003, in regard to his Justice League Adventures work. [/shadow]

Thanks for the intro, Matt.
Hey everyone. I just thought I'd drop by and introduce myself. I'm Matthew K. Manning, and I'll be the writer for the fill-in issue of The Batman Strikes, issue # 10. The issue features the return of Man-Bat, a riot in Arkham Asylum, and a college field trip gone horribly wrong. I can't wait to hear any and all feedback for the issue, good and bad. If you’re wondering about my past work, check out Justice League Adventures #’s 14 and 33, or Spider-Man: Unlimited # 7. My first issue of Justice League Adventures was also reprinted in the Friends and Foes digest, now in its third printing.
So anyway, I’ll post more information when I get it. Talk with you all soon.
