[shadow=red,left,300]Interesting reversal of roles in this episode with Joker deciding to emulate Batman. In his own twisted way, the criminals he captures are really anything but..just average citizens commiting petty offenses. Great fight sequences between Bats and Joker, and later on has Penguin enters the fray making it a three way dance. My only complaint about this episode, is that there is no resolution on what has happened to Joker's victims, including Mayor Grange's wife. Was Batman able to find an antidote?
On a side note..I would love to see Mattel make a Joker dressed as Batman figure. That would be a variant I would be eager to pick up. [/shadow]

whoa this ep is right up at the top of my list with clayface and riddler because of the dialogue and action. they finnally had excuses for batman's quips and truly showed how crazy joker is. too bad yin wasnt in it but boy could the penguin fight..for a short fat man that tub-o-lard has moves and the joker as always has good tactics followed by his mean sucker punch. He knocked bats off a building. and the joker/bats costume was freakin sweet the variant joker toy does seem pretty sick good job

Very good episode -- keeping in mind that I haven't seen "Riddled," this was my favorite season two episode that Kid's WB has shown yet. The design for Joker/Batman was awesome, the animation was gorgeous, the dialogue was sharp, and the Joker was at his most menacing yet with his twisted take on what being Batman is all about. This was a superb episode, and I'd give it a 4/5.

I taped it an just wtahced it. Was real cool. I like in this cartoon how the villians can actually fight, like the Joker, Penguin, Riddler.
Also did anyone see that Batman is gonna start being on on weekdays now on WB? SWEET

Also did anyone see that Batman is gonna start being on on weekdays now on WB? SWEET Yes, I posted that info the other day in this thread legionsofgotham.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=bringonthebatman&action=display&n=1&thread=1305near the bottom. This episode was all in all outstanding. It felt like a full story..well developed. Throwing in the Penguin was, at first, not popular with me....but he had some great lines towards the end "...you two are freakin me out". I enjoyed the banter about "professional courtesy" between Penguin and Joker, as well. ...and I must say, KMR would've made a great voice talent choice for Batman! 10 out of 10

Outstanding episode. Probably the best one-part ep we've gotten.
Some thoughts:
-- Fun plot. Great dialogue. Great satire. Great action.
-- Don't usually like this Penguin but he was perfect here.
-- The bit with Joker getting dressed as Batman was a great parody.
-- I loved the scene with Bruce and the mayor in the hospital and the scene with Joker and the mayor at City Hall.
-- I found myself smiling through the whole thing. Really enjoyable. I can only hope they can keep this up.
-- Instant classic.

As I'm browsing other sites, I keep seeing people asking for a Joker dressed as Batman. I've seen at least 10 posts about it so far. If Mattel were to try this, it just might be a hit! (Sell it with the go cart Joker was riding on and I'd be pleased as punch!)

Yeah, they're really getting a lot better with the Joker.
Between the Clayface ep and this one, they're hitting the right notes with him.
I also think a Joker/Bats would be a great fig.

Finally saw my tape. Definitely better than last week's "Fire and Ice." The whole reverse roles was cool; kinda like Joker truly demonstrating to Batman that they're "two sides of the same coin." I loved the Batman vs. Joker Batman fight in the middle. Batman getting affected by Joker Venom was cool.
I've seen Joker in a bat suit before in the book BATMAN MASTERPIECES in an illustration by Carl Critchlow. It was called Laughing Batty and was basically a warped Joker version of Batman. The bat insignia had a red NO sign over it. He was actually drawn quite similarly to The Batman Joker (note that this book's been out for years) with his HUGE chin and teeth. Very cool.

[shadow=purple,left,300]This episode was actually very sadistic. It showed how dark "The Batman" can go. I loved the first half of the episode, pretty much until the Penguin made his umpteenth appearance in the show. But, it didn't take away much from the episode's total effect.
The Joker was insane, and I really liked that snake he had. His "Bruce Wayne" was pretty funny, too, as well as Bruce's inappropriate giggle fits in the hospital. I actually laughed out loud.
This is one of the best... 9.5/10 (should have kept Penguin out of it, but oh well).
And I definitely want a Joker as Batman figure! ;D[/shadow]

Just watched this episode for the first time and I gotta rate it up there with the other great ones 8.5/10
The story was good, and the twist of roles was great to see. As always Adam West as The Mayor is such a treat for me.
Did anybody else think of this when watching The Joker dressed as Batman that he reminded you a bit of The Bizarro Batman? How cool would it be to see Bizarro Batman in The Batman?
Funny thing about the time switch with The Batman is when it was on at the 1030am time slot I always missed it, now with the 830am time slot I am up and ready to watch. Next week sees one full hour of The Batman starting at 8am
