Lol. thanks for starting the thread early. I'll hero back above zero. This thread is now stickied. Bring on Scarface! (again) I'm really happy they're bring Dan Castenella back. This new Scarface/Wesker was a team I really hoped to have explored more in this series. Now, if they'd only have a team up of some lesser villains like Ragdoll/Spellbinder!

A fantastic episode so far.
I love the time transition with the wearing down of the Discover Drome sign.
and finally, in this new series, we get THE GIANT PENNY!
the batcave is really taking shape. All we need is a dinosaur!

Good God! It's a Batman solo episode! I think I'm gonna faint! We finally got the giant penny! I liked how they're slowly making Strange into an enemy of The Batman. Did anybody else think that was Bane who was sitting next to Penguin? I just saw some hole on his arm that looked like where Bane pumped the venom into himself. Does anybody else think that was Bane?

[shadow=purple,left,300]This was, imo, one of the best episodes of the series. They portrayed Arnold Wesker as a truly tragic character tied down by a mental illness, not an obsession with being a villain. Dr. Strange's involvement as a catalyst in Wesker's experimental treatment was outstanding. It was also nice to see some backstory to who Wesker was before Scarface. Even Mr. Snoots fit the episode perfectly.
Like Jeff Matsuda said, you really feel sorry for Arnold Wesker in this episode. That's what makes this episode perfect. Well done, team!
My score: 10/10.
By the way, the penny was a great addition![/shadow]

Just got done watching, and I gotta say this was a very enjoyable episode, I really liked it alot. NO BATGIRL was a huge plus!
The Giant Penny was great, and like /\/\att said it great to finally see the Batcave shaping up, and I too am wondering how The Giant Dinosuar will wind up in the Cave?
Batfan the big guy that was next to The Penquin, had a white skull tatoo of sorts, so I would have to say NO I don't think that was Bane, and Bane off of the Venom is just a small guy and probably wouldn't be that big
Some great moments especially when Mr. Snoots and Scarface were fighting with one another at the end, and when Batman told Wesker to free himself when he was tied up and he started to do it and then Scarface was like what are you doing, and Wesker wimped out and laid back down, those two moments really cracked me up...
J-Man your right I felt really bad for Wesker.
Plus seeing Hugo Strange was great, and ADAM WEST, ADAM WEST YES! ! ! !
I would have given this episode a 10, but I won't because the over used Joker & Penquin found there way into the episode
8.75/10

This one gets a 9/10 from me. Superb episode, with a surprising emphasis on psychology over action; a truly disturbing and tragic look into Wesker's background and what makes him tick; and more of Strange revealing his true nature, and becoming a real threat for The Batman. The comedic beats worked well, and what action we did have was good, too. The train bit cracked me up. This episode seemed a lot like a TAS episode, which isn't surprising when one considers that this plot borrowed freely from the TNBA episode "Double Talk" (written by Robert Goodman, who also wrote "The Big Dummy") and an old issue of "Batman Adventures." Yet even with the similarities, this episode had a unique take on Wesker's rehabilitation, and I liked the fact that they never revealed which puppet he mourned for in the end. I have to say this is the best Scarface story we've seen from *any* series, in my opinion. All around a great episode, and a perfect way to cap off this run of episodes we've had for the last...what...two months now? Though we're going to have a break until "Newvember," we *do* have "The Batman vs. Dracula" to hold us over... --Larry

Does anyone know how many episodes Frank Gorshin did before his passing? He and the show did so well at building up the Hugo Strange character. When we first saw him, he could have been good or bad, but we're starting to see his true character emerge. Mr. Gorshin did such a great job with the voice, always giving the character an underlying creepiness while they slowly but surely reveal his true motives. Just a great job all around. Mr. Gorshin left some large shoes to fill, and I hope whomever they get to replace him can do the character as much justice as he did.

Fun episode. Dug the satire and the arrival of the Giant Penny.
I'm not a big fan of Scarface in any incarnation but I enjoyed this episode.
My 6yo said part of it reminded him of "Read My Lips" from TAS tho I suppose that's natural.
Well done.

He was a great actor, and he contributed a lot to the Batman continuity.[/shadow]

We just got into a great new season, but I consider ourselves spoiled, since we got new eps through most of the summer and early fall.
I'm sure the wait will be worth it![/shadow]

One of my new favorite episodes! I was happy to have a Batman solo episode. This way Batgirl stays as that something extra that's added in once and a while, and her appearance doesn't become expected all the time. The giant penny addition to the trophy room was a nice touch. And it was great to have more information added to Wesker's background. My score: 9/10

This is a pretty good episode. They finally get the idea of characters development. Preferably to the relationship between Strange and Batman, and between Arnold and Scarface. I love the way how the Bat-cave is starting to build up, starting with the penny. I hope they finish up with the cave before the series ended.

Sounds like another amazing episode but is this it for a month? no new episodes till november?? What is WB thinking?? SRA They're thinking that they've only made so many episodes and they need to save more new ones for sweeps. Thats how tv works guys! I know its frustrating, but its just the biz. Next time, WB should commission MORE EPISODES! ;D Can someone please tell me what happened in the episode, in some detail, after Batman gets up from under the dinosaur bones?? I had to get to class, so I couldn't see that last little bit. Thanks!

Here's what happened /\/\att:
-Scarface thinks Wesker ratted them out and they tie him to the train track at the studio where they filmed Wesker's show they talked about. Wesker is still holding on to Scarface when he's tied up.
-Batman shows up and tells Scarface that the rat is Mr. Snoots, Wesker's new puppet. He throws him to Wesker and him and Scarface start fighting. Meanwhile, Batman is taking on Mugsy and Rhino.
-After he takes them down, Batman saves Wesker from the train, and Wesker drops both his dummies. They're crushed.
-Batman then confronts Proffesor Strange about how he planted Scarface in Wesker's apartment. Strange says he wanted to test to see if people with criminal minds really heal. Batman doesn't agree with his methods and says he'll be watching him.
The dark side of Doctor Strange is taking affect now.

As usual, I liked it. Very cool to see Dr. Strange (I'm assuming this was Frank Gorshin's last performance) and to see the Strange-Batman conflict start to develop. I really liked the story with Scarface and how it was ambiguous which puppet he was referring to (although I myself am guessing Mr. Snoots).
I missed seeing Gordon, though.

Going off topic, this episode reminded me of an episode of South Park where Mr. Garrison's two puppets, Mr. Hat and Mr. Twig, fought over him. That Garrison has one sick mind.
