Sorry, I don't collect these. How do you get yours though?
I have seen some on Ebay, including a JL HG prototype, but it went for an extremely high price.

I just got online so i apoligize for not posting sooner. I do indeed collect literature and proto's from various lines ( mainly Mego ) which can really enhance a collection. As a matter of fact i picked up an authentic Mego Corp employee manual which seems to be the only one in existance that made it to light. It's one of my most prized possessions.

I have a few prototype minimates. I won them in a contest from Diamond Select.
I have Doc Ock, Bullseye and the Leader. I also received a prototype box for the Captain America and Absorbing Man set.
Unfortunately, these are probably the only ones I will ever be lucky enough to own - ebay prices on prototype minimates usually go into the $200.00 range. I'm going to try to pick up some test shots and the rest of the blanks that I need (red, blue and green).

Hey Roback, Employee manuals?! Definitely an oddball piece but I love collecting anything obscure! What contents are there in that Mego manual of yours? Cheers, Frosty

Oh, it has lots of cool stuff including all of the execcutive officers and thier titles plus all of the Mego Corps over seas holdings. It also has vacation time, insurance plans, time clock punches, vacation time, dinner supplements and everything a normal employee manual would have in it. It is no doubt a very cool item to have which provides us with a rare glimpse into the workings of one of the best family run toy companies in America.

Hey, Frosty. Prototypes are real works of art. They bring the collector one step closer to the actual sculpture or two-up as done by the sculptor. Do you have any prototypes of unmanufactured figs?

Hey Blocko, Well, I can't really answer that. However, I do have a 1:1 (production size) hardcopy of an alternate but rejected sculpt of Action Masters Catwoman. I would love to find a 2:1 (original sculpt size) prototype of that one. I guess you could call that an unmanufactured figure. Cheers, Frosty Yes, I'd say that qualifies.

Frosty I've attached a scan of a partial wall in my toyroom that contains original literature from the Mego Corp such as sales sheets, artbooks, TV promotions guides, case breakdown booklets and quote sheets. I've had a blast obtaining these pieces as not many have survived. Many came from the John Bonivita collection which at one time was the premier collection in the world. A special thank you goes out to Jokerinc ( Mike ) for hosting this pic for you guys to see.

Those look cool - they would certainly be a nice addition to any collection. And best of all - it doesn't look like he suffers from the famous blue-face-syndrome that the actual figure did

Hey everyone, Just another proto pic to keep MY thread alive. Here are the hardcopy and first shot for Two-Face. Sorry about the glare on the first shot. Cheers, Frosty Man Frosty, all those look broken! Why are all their arms broken off, where's the play value in that!
