[shadow=red,left,300]I hope it's Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern. He would fit right in with the animation style![/shadow]

Well, it is good that there will be a Batman cartoon like this for the small kiddies, but it's sadly not my cup of tea as it looks like. At least we have The Batman on CW4Kids and Batman:TAS on Jetix.

Worlds Finest is reporting that Bruce Timm said this new show will skew more towards preschoolers than anything.
Now this actually halfway scares me. Well, Krypto was halfway watchable and didn't talk down to the audience if you get what I mean. So maybe things won't be that bad if they follow in that light.

Well, the show is for preschoolers. I mean, what else do you want? lol. Its not for adults, so if you can get something out of it, cool....if not, then you're stuck without an adult geared Batman toon for awhile.
I personally have preschool and kindergarten age kids, so I'm thrilled.

Someone on WF's message board had a point to consider.
This is going on CN's friday primetime. So although it might be appropriate for preschoolers, it might not be just directly aimed at them like were afraid of.

the Aquaman Shrine has this... aquamanshrine.blogspot.com/2008/07/aquasketch-by-bob-petrecca-2007.htmlThis show is really starting to shape up well. Really looking forward to it. And I really hope the tv guide promo has it right that the show has been pushed back up to this fall. Really glad to finally hear some females are going to show up. So this show is basically gonna be THE BATMAN season 5 with JLU variety. DrGreenEvil

I hope TV Guide is right too. I'm really looking forward to this show! It looks great! Thanks for the post, I was on this topic because I wanted to ask. But thanks to you, my question is already answered!

Yes! You're going to give it a chance. That's one less person to convince. And you never know, you may like it, even maybe better than The Batman. But The Batman does rock, don't get me wrong!

MAN!!!!!!!!!! I AM FREAKIN GLAD THIS SHOW GOT PUSHED BACK UP TO NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!
I was thinking that this show was getting alot of promo time even though it was still more than half a year away. But man!! After the explosion of characters revealed this weekend, I am really, really looking forward to this show.
Also really looking forward to the toyline. The slides of figures from mattel looked cool. Judging from the pics though, and granted no one has just great pics of the figures and I am legally blind, it looks like these figures have only btas/jlu level articulation. Hopefully they are in the same scale to. Getting sick of the 5.5 scale. Plus with oil prices the way they are, it looks like all toy companies are going smaller scalewize. So I wouldn't be surprised if mattel followed suit with this line.

If this is legit, Im not really digging it. The retro Batman look is cool and all, but I dont see this style fitting in with what my envisioning of B&B is. I think a grittier 70's style comic translation into animation would be best. I dont understand this current trend of dumbed down animation. I don't mind the approach. but for the B&B series Batman was more involved in the 60's and the stories weren't total camp. Don't think we'll see a serial killer in the series...As long as we don't see... We should be alright

I think it looks fun in a 60's batman sort of way. like the stylised look. heck, if i want dark we've always got "the dark knight". personally i think there's enough room in the world for both versions to batman to co-exist. can't wait for batman and green arrow team up!! and will the atom be attacked by a rolling gouda like in the brave and bold comic? hope so i'll split my sides

Yeah True their's enough room out there for a light Batman and a Dark one,i like the idea of this series,i think it looks good, and its going to draw in younger viewers and the more mature fans which is always a good thing, and plus Batman needs to be back on the Tv since The Batman has been canceled so if its a choice of having a Batman on Tv to have none at all its good to have the batman on Tv in a new form if nothing else is a good thing, bring it on lol.

I think this could be good, just dont go into it thinking about DARK knight, think more of the adam west aproch. i watched the first couple of episodes of The Batman and i didnt like it. but i bought the first season maybe a month ago and re-watched it. i really enjoyed it the second time through. The first time, I compared it to BTAS , which is in my opinion, the greatest form of batman ever (that could be because I grew up watching it as a kid though), the second time however, I realized that it is a totaly different take on Batman. the thing is, they cant just keep doing the same old batman or it would get old. also I think that as time goes on, batman will keep getting darker and then lighter then darker lighter, exedra. so if you dont like this version you may like the next version.
ps anyone know where the cheapest place to get The Batman season 2 is? the stores i have near me are target, walmart, kmart, toysrus, bestbuy, and circuit city.

I really wish that they would have used either the Dan Garrett or TED KORD .. instead of Jaime for the Blue Beetle!!!
