Great find Reid! Gotta say, I don't know who this Toa Tilius (I believe that's his name) is but he's really on the ball when it comes to pics of new stuff.

The above mentioned pictures are from this years toyfair in Nürnberg, Germany. I went there with some of my colleagues, there amongst some of the Batman designers. From left; yours truly (figures and Decals), Olav Krøigaard (7784), Bjarke Lykke Madsen (7783) & Hans Henrik Sidenius (7780 & 7781) I think the reason we're not smiling that much, is because we were a little dissapointed with the size of the Batman stand (but this is Germany where City is everything) I guess we have to look forward to this years NY toyfair Appearrently the guy who took the pictures in the link, was only interested in models and not the surroundings, so here's some more pictures for your enjoyment.

Thanks for sharing those Bonven. I'm sure NY Toyfair will play up the Batman big time. BTW, the giant Piraka is great!

Great find Reid! Gotta say, I don't know who this Toa Tilius (I believe that's his name) is but he's really on the ball when it comes to pics of new stuff. Eh-heh, no problem! Should just say that my Batman Brickshelf folder isn't going to be updated very much now, what with Toyfair giving us too many pictures for me to keep track of. Hope you'll all still keep watching it for minor updates, though, and as a reference in the future. Glad I'm finally registered! TT

Thanks for the warm welcome!
Man, that Batcave looks better and better every time I see it. Can I just ask, as I'm not really a Batman nut - have all the vehicles in the sets actually been used somewhere in the Batman storyline (i.e comics, movies etc)? Obviously the Batmobile has, heh, but what about the others?
Thanks
TT

TT, I heroed you for all the great stuff you've been posting (I'm a big Bionicle fan). To answer your question, unlike the Corgi line which is very true to the source material, the Lego Bat vehicles take their inspiration from the comics, similar to what Mattel did with their first Batmobile. The line looks great, regardless. Be cool to see a Lego inspired Bat vehicle appear in the pages of a comic (maybe the Batwing or Batboat).

It states under the pictures for the Batman Dragster: Catwoman Pursuit that this set won't come out until August. Please tell me this isn't true!

Back from a nasty cold.
Just some quick comments on the Ny toyfair pics. Here you see the 3 Batmen that where intended, but we were force to reduce them to 2 because of savings.
And the penguin does have purple pants instead of flesh colored ones. i don't know why they put those on him, but to be honest, the showcase preparation of the models for the NY toyfair have always been sloppy.
The face that's under the black Batman's cowl is not the right head. that's the one we use for Bruce Wayne.
And don't worry the sets will be out in april for the states (august is for UC Batmobile and The Batcave)
But man, that Batman statue is cool, looks like the Brian Bolland black and white, only build in Lego.

The lego sets are really neat but, whats with the prices? I have always thought that legos were outrageously priced and this just proves it! I'll pass and stick with my old (no longer produced but affordable) c3 sets.

I'll pass and stick with my old (no longer produced but affordable) c3 sets. Take it from someone that has all the C3 sets - LEGO is worth every penny. I GUARANTEE that the LEGO Batcave will go together like it says it does AND it will (here's a shocker -) STAY TOGETHER WITHOUT GLUE!! Something that the C3's had problems with on every set. I know I'm buying at least 2 of every Batman set and probably 2 of every Spongebob set. I'll also be picking up some Exoforce - just because I like the designs.
