I remember when I was little (late '70's) having these cool little DC and Marvel figures roughly 3 inches tall. I remember Batman's head and cape being one soild rubber piece that you could "pop" off and stick onto other super heroes bodies. Anyone know of a site that would have pics of these figs? I loved tham as a kid, and remember that between me and my best friend who lived across the street, that we must have had every single one of them.

I have a few Comic Action/Pocket Heroes from when I was a kid. I still have the Comic Action Exploding Bridge set. Although the Pengin is missing half his leg and the batmobile lost it's dome. But figure wise Comic Action Heroes I have I have Batman Robin Joker Penguin Aquaman & Captain America. Pocket Heroes (straight legged) I have Batman & Robin. I loved these as a kid. PJ P.S. My Comic Action Heroes Batman can be seen in the first picture of my collection in the collection section. It's in front of the Robin Maquette. The rest of the figures are away in storage right now.

I remember those.
They had the bent leg ones that came w/ an accessory. And then the straight legged ones that came on a card w/ a denim pattern on it (at least in Canada - I know the US ones had a dull red or white card). I guess it was to emphasize that they were "Pocket" heroes.
Had the Hulk, Spider-Man, Superman, Batman.
But they all eventually lost their legs. Not the toughest of toys, or maybe I was just to rough on them.

Thanks everyone for the links ;D That was a bit of a trip down memory lane to see those figs again. I remember always wanting that Spider-man dune buggy. I watched the old Adam West Batman show all the time (reruns used to be on daily on CityTv back then), so my mom bought me all the Batman related figures so I could act out the stuff from the shows. Man, I wish I still had those figs

Man, I wish I still had those figs My first Comic Action Heroes Batman got lost in a tree when I was a kid...I had made him a parachute out of a sandwhich bag and some rubber bands and threw him into the air. Anyway he got stuck in the branches of a pine tree and I never saw him again. I looked everytime I was in the backyard for years, but never found him. And I do mean years as it happened in 76' or 77'. and I moved out in 90'...Plus whenever I'd go home to visit my Mom I'd look...But I never found it. Of course the house is now gone. The property is now a bunch of townhomes. PJ

I have several of those figs. ( I treated myself to the Bat when I was unemployed. Good spirit booster). Toy Shop ran great article a few issues ago on the whole comic actions line. Good Info for collectors. Though I would love WW's invisible plane! Drew Knight

As great as Mego was, I never was a big fan of the 3 3/4 inch scale. It was definitely the driving force behind Kenner using the scale for the Star Wars line though.
The Toy Shop article was definitely a great tribute to the line, and very informative.

It was in the August issue of ToyShop, #17 I believe. It's always nice to see Mego's in the news and the upcoming Tomarts review is really gonna kick butt.

Actually it's multiple of issues which is on tap for this months release. I've been in contact with them recently regarding Megocon and I can tell you that their excitement over it is very high. I hope this doesnt replace Huckabones book as I know he is working very closely with the people at Tomarts. I've been trying to get Lee's to do a pullout guide but so far its not in the cards although it is a real possiblity in the future.

The article was two pages long. It was the August 6, Issue #338, Vol. 17, No.16. I especially enjoyed the pics of the boxes. Drew
