The 1997 epic "Titanic" leads the field with $601 million. I thought Titanic made over $1 Billion?

Over a billion world wide...601 domestic...word of mouth pushed Titanic...word of mouth is pushing TDK...I had to settle for seeing the midnite show in OKC on a normal screen...IMAX is definitely the way to go...I came back and saw it in Providence 2 days later on IMAX...WOW...they estimate 400mil in 20 days so keep it going

That would be awesome if TDK beats Titanic! I think it's got a really good shot. Over $300 million in ten days is impressive!

The Dark Knight was beyond epic, just had so much going for it,and to look at Heath on screen was both great and tragic,he brought so much to the role its so said that he can't ever reprise it again,in a way it kinda took from the film knowing that you'd only ever want to see him play that character again and to know that he wont is very saddening.
10 out of 10 hands down the best Live action Batman film.

[shadow=red,left,300]I personally hope that "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" does not top the box office this week.
I seen it yesterday, and It was terrible! Trust me! Avoid it like the plaque![/shadow]

You don't have to worry about that jacktheskull. Despite a rocky start on Friday, The Dark Knight beat The Mummy for the top weekend spot. It seems not even the undead can stop Batman. And I helped that out with seeing it today for the 3rd time. www.newsarama.com/film/080802-box-offcice.htmlSo what movie(s) will he beat next weekend?

I thought the Dark Knight was brilliant! BRILLIANT! The Joker was stunning, and I loved Two-face. Though it's a shame SPOILER WARNING Two-Face died

;D[shadow=red,left,300]Thank God! "The Dark Knight" made it to the top! My Faith is resorted in Audiences everywhere!
But with "The Pineapple Express" being released next week, "The Dark Knight" might drop one spot.
But Who cares? Right now, the Knight is going strong! [/shadow]

Box office update: www.newsarama.com/film/080805-dark-knight-400m.htmlGood news everyone! We've beat Spider-Man and TDK is now the most grossing comic book movie ever. And we're so far the second highest grossing movie domestic behind Titanic. Now I know we can top that, but for now, let's party!

Does anyone else think that foreign gross is falling a little short though? This is the first movie Ive ever started keeping up with foreign grossing and from what I've seen in movies like Titanic, the foreign gross was about a billion. Usually by the end of the run, foreign grosses are higher than domestic?
I know I sound very impatient but it never really struck me.

Well, you can probably contribute the small foreign gross to the fact that he's an American character! He's not as huge a character nationwide as he is in America!
But who cares! He still beat Spider-Man!

Seriously, the Clone Wars looks lke an okay plot, but too childish and it looks so weird...the animation.

It's grossed over 700 million now worldwide Only a matter of time till we beat Indiana Jones (which I think is #1 this year, but I may be mistaken)

Despite attention "Star Wars Clone Wars" is at number three with $15.5 million. [/shadow]
