I saw one of those at a flea market here recently - they wanted well over $100 for it. Sadly, they wouldn't come down on the price, so I walked away empty handed.

Their asking a bit too much for it. I've seen that puppet in several auctions over the years..and it usually goes for a fairly decent price..never near the $100 range.[/shadow]

I've seen that puppet in several auctions over the years..and it usually goes for a fairly decent price..never near the $100 range.[/shadow] The most I would have been willing to pay -it was a really nice one - no paint issues on the face, like the one up for auction, no tears in the plastic - fairly clean, etc - would have been $70.00. My wife would have killed me, but I could have - if the guy would have come down. IIRC he wanted somewhere around $140-ish or so. He was basing it on the fact that it was old, so it must be worth a lot. All the other stuff at his booth was Nascar diecast stuff, so I'm guessing he thought I was trying to get a bargain. ;D

It's funny how some people try to gouge you based on the simple fact that its old. I love the line some use in auctions that reads " item in very good condition based on it's age " ;D What a marroon! ;D
