Does anyone else think it's a refreshing change that this new cartoon series has Batman in his 60's attire/look? I am SO glad they decided to do this. I would be happy to see the old blue and grey outfit in a live action movie down the road as well. I personally like that look the best.

I'm not too crazy over this. I wish theyd have an animated series not so directed towards kids.

I'm not too crazy over this. I wish theyd have an animated series not so directed towards kids. The reason this cartoon is more directed at kids is because they just made a really dark movie that is definately NOT for kids. I'm also really looking forward to this new show. I'm a complete Batman mark. I like Batman period, no matter the interpretation.

Its a refreshing change in the sense that Batman in any incarnation has been off the air so long and that its nice to have a new Batman back but i would have been happier with the Timm Verse getting re-instated.

Awesome, it's going to air on Friday nights! That's way better than Saturday morning now I can sleep in on Saturday and watch something awesome after an exhausting school day!!! But I am looking forward to this and change is good, yes! Although I never get tired of any Batman, and I still love The Batman, I am looking forward to a change. And it will be a refreshing change to see a completely new Batman!! Yahoo! Can't wait!~

yeah thats way better ths having to wake up after a long week of boring school. dont get me wrong, the show has potential, but to me, i still have the darker, more mature aftertaste left over from TDK, im ready to see more of that stuff. also i really miss the timmverse too. the show seems to me to be coming at an akward time right after TDK, it seems to me a new timmverse show would have been more appropriate, but the show has a cool art style thats been growing on me, and i also like the idea of bringing the old-school style batman into the new millennium.
p.s. post # 250!

Even though I prefer my batman dark & broody I'll try this too. Good thing its on friday nights, there's nothing else worth watching at that time anyway, but doesn't that feel like a "big kids" time?
I often wonder what it was like for previous generation waking up to th Superfriends every saturday morning... compared to the fake anime fad that's ruined my saturdays, THAT would've been a much more welcome change

I concur it is refreshing, not just a cheap carbon copy of BTAMS, something original finally.

Kids are the key to Batman's future. If the character does not continue to bring in new fans, then it becomes Hopalong Cassidy or the like, a onetime favorite that fades as it's fanbase grows old. Adults can revel in the fact that Dark Knight brought every ounce of darkness and respect that the character deserves to the screen, and Brave and Bold and Batman Lego will bring in the youngsters, who will grow into the more adult iterations of the character as they mature. It really is a brilliant plan on Warner's part, and I like the show!

I totally agree that is a refreshing change. As much as i would like another series thats like BTAS, this is just as good (For now). To be honest i cant get enough of it.
