does anyone know which, if any, of these special editions will be available in the UK as region 2? or are they just for the USA? i'd consider the batpod version if it was available here, but so far i've only seen a standard 2-disc version, a 2-disc version with 3 art cards, and a 2-disc version with a 16-page graphic novel advertised here, nothing else.

I guess you'll be atleast getting the Bat-Pod edition, since even we in Bulgaria are getting it (we're Region 2 too). Thanks for these /\/\att!

I think the Joker poster cover is on the actual case, the Batpod poster is on the cardboard slipcase the DVD case comes inside.

Best Buy is offering one of two free posters when you pre-order TDK.
Blockbuster tells me they're offering a Joker Bobblehead....
We need to start a thread to track pre-order and retail exclusives regarding TDK.

This will be available from Best Buy in Canada! They did this in the US for Iron Man, I can't believe they wouldn't do it for a huge film like the Dark Knight..I bet we'll see this be a US release as well......

Walmart will have a SE of the Single Disc version that comes with a comic book and the Two-Face coin that's also rumored to come around Bulgaria. Also Germany will get a different Bat-Pod than the one in the US. I still don't know which of the two is going to be released in Bulgaria with the DVD (Yes, DVD not Blu-Ray).

To all the Canadians out there, get to Future Shop early on Dec. 9th! I have been talking with managers from a local store and some of their press personnel and the Steelbook versions of the The Dark Knight Blu-ray and DVD releases are going to be a hot item. Pre-orders on those specific releases have been "through the roof" (not my words), so if you don't pre-order, get to the store as fast as you can on the Dec. 9th. I'm currently trying to get a hold of the press relations for Wal-Mart for more on their The Dark Knight exclusive content. And, if anyone's interested, our review of the Blu-ray release for The Dark Knight: Review #1 - www.wfdvdreport.com/index.php?action=fullnews&id=723Review #2 - www.wfdvdreport.com/index.php?action=fullnews&id=723Combined Review - www.another batman site/WF/sections/releases/bluray/tdk.php Also, a kudos to Matt for gathering the information on all of these The Dark Knight release exclusives in one handy place!

I picked up the Wal-Mart exclusive pack w/ the coin. I highly recommend it..the coin is fantastic. The comic gives you the vintage first appearances of Joker & Two-Face. The coin is a far great quality than I imagined.

Ooh, it came on DVD today, I'm so excited, I can't wait to get my own copy. I'm probably getting the Walmart version first to hold me off to get a better one.

i have the exact same hmv edition but I liked it haven't seen much of the extra's and I don't understand what that news channels for!!?? during the months before TDK came out at the cinema, on the internet they had many viral campaigns to stir up interest. one of these angles was through the gotham news channel, where reporter Mike Engel hosted a talkshow with different guests, and covered Dent's election to DA. so they've just included 6 of those videos from the viral campaign in the extras, they're quite good and just just give some backstory to the movie and about Bruce, Gordon, Maroni, Dent etc.

They should have made a documentary about the virals...

They should have made a documentary about the virals... ... and I was a little disappointed that there were no virals surrounding the release of the DVD. I understand that Warner Bros didn't need to hype the movie at this point (I mean the movie was fantastic and people really responded to it), but it would have great for the fans who really pushed the initial "buzz". I agree that the Special Features were really unremarkable when they could have been really exciting. Example: remember how the Extended Lord Of The Rings DVD listed the fans during the end credits - where are our names here? Afterall, I am a registered voter in Gotham City.

I finally got my copy! The coin is amazing! Just one question - do the DVD US releases have the history channel documentaries, because they were announced here, but aren't on the DVD.
