Ok, guys excuse me as this is my first post. lol.
Ok part of the reason as to why the Nolan films are so well loved is down to the realism of the films. And in my opinion, particulary the villains.
Ra's Al Ghul is very human and normal looking in Batman Begins, not like a freak at all. The Scarecrow is Cillian Murphy in a sharp suit with a bag over his head and as we know The Joker and Two-Face in The Dark Knight look fine because well they are realistic characters with no real physical defects. And as we know the Riddler is the same.
But my question is will Nolan or any other future Batman director introduce some of the more freakish and un-natural and dare I say it unrealistic Batman villains? And attempt to make their stories and look releastic?
One of the things about the Scarecrow in BB is that he is simply a well-suited psychiatrist with a frightening looking- head bag/mask. It does work but as an old-school Batman fan I would of loved to have seen the old-school Scarecrow with the hat, noose around the neck, maybe a different mask and the trenchcoat etc. Will we ever see it on the big screen?
What about the Penguin? Tim Burton has proved at least to me that it can be done brilliantly. Will it be done again? What about Mr.Freeze or Poison Ivy, two characters that after the groin-grabbingly awful Batman and Robin I simply began to hate and dismiss them. But then I remembered the characters in the comics and the animated series and I believe they can be something very special with a decent director and script-writer.
What about the Mad Hatter? A very underrated Bat villain that I always thought had huge potential. If done properly he could be amazing fighting the Dark Knight on the big screen.
A man obsessed with hats, tea parties and Alice In Wonderland in Gotham City.
Now there's a challenge for Mr. Nolan.
