I didn't buy it, but at Target I saw an Underwater gear Batman for the 5" line. I forget his exact name, but his costume was black with purple thighs and bat-symbol and I think his oxygen tank was also purple. I think he was called Aqua-(?) Batman

The other night I found and bought a movie masters all black chase batman (my first piece of Dark Knight merch). Tonight I saw a kinda cool 5" TDK Batman with a blue and grey color scheme. Also saw a couple Deathstrokes.

At a Wal-Mart in Knoxville, they had the 2-pack Batman and Joker basic figures for $5! One was with the purple suit Joker, the other with the green suit.

I picked up the Wal-Mart exclusive pack w/ the coin. I highly recommend it..the coin is fantastic. The comic gives you the vintage first appearances of Joker & Two-Face. The coin is a far great quality than I imagined.

When I pulled out the coin, I giggled like a kid. I may buy another one to keep in my pocket for decision-making purposes.

You guys won't beleive this myself and my girlfriend have been looking all over the place for the firefly/deathstroke waves and have not been sucessful at all. I got to say Walmart in Canada anyway looks like they are not supporting the dark knight movie in any way what so ever. All the walmarts have either zero or very minimal dk figs. So I decide to walk into Zellers in Hamilton Ontario Canada and I find something in my opinion which is better then the firefly wave. I found the brand new 2009 dk 5 inch figures that are packed in the brand new packageing that Matt posted not to long ago. I can't post pics until after xmas because my girlfriend is giving them to me for xmas, but let me tell you the figures look really cool if you are into varients. I collect all the varients of batman figs and have since I was a kid so for me they look really cool. There are 5 different batman's and a repackaged destuctro joker. Here are the names of the batman's I am getting mobile attack batman,a new blue and blk grapel gear bats, battle case bats, and I can't remember the other 2 bats names. Anyway I will try to post pics after xmas.

I just posted in the christmas thread, but I didn't include some info.
I don't know if it's worth mentioning or asking about, but I got a MM Joker for christmas, and it was directly from are local Walmart; I guess there was one other. I opened it partly since I'm not much of a collector or anything. It had the air holes, but the numbers on the package weren't covered by black stickers. I also got a DK Batman, but I had to return it for another; I think it had the stickers & air holes. I wasn't paying attention, so the replacement ended up being one without air holes & one hole punched in the back. What I found kinda funny about it was that the plastic over the package numbers were covered, kinda poorly, with ink from a black marker. To my point, should the Joker's numbers been covered? I'm just curious. Also, is there a clear explanation about the recalling? I heard the scary face bit, lead paint...
The Joker's knife wasn't in his hand right, so I decided to fix it. Because I've heard people saying they lost theirs, easy to lose, or decided just to leave the band thing on it, I decided to leave the band on mine as well. I don't know about you, but it was a pain for me to put it back on heh. Also, the evidence bag that came with Joker had it's label upside down; I saw someone else be cursed with that. Here I coulda exchanged it with the one that came with the Batman I returned, but for some reason it never crossed my mind. *shakes head in disgrace*
I also have the Coin Blast Two-Face with card; I got it friday at are local Walmart. I just happened to look for a moment, and there it was, so I just thought what the hell. I really like the figure; I was a little surprised. I know it's the cheaper kid's range, but I think they could of did the mouth a little better; maybe it's just me. Also, the burnt side of his nose has an indent/hole in it. Is this normal? I've thought about putting the card in one of the evidence bags, particularly Joker's, but I haven't as of yet.
You know also, the more I looked at Two-Face the more I was intrigued about a Batman cartoon based on the Nolan Batman Universe. idk

BATPROFESSOR'S TDK HOT TOYS REVIEW Now that I've had some time with these figures, I thought I would share some impressions.: HT Batman Begins: The best of the lot "straight out of the box." My only gripe is that the utility belt comes off rather easily, many times falling off the figure as he is being posed. Really a beautiful figure. 9.5/10 HT Joker: With the old head swapped out for the "Bank Robbery" version, this is far and away the best Heath Ledger likeness out there. That doesn't make it perfect however. The new head is a little large, throwing off the proportions of the figure. Also the overcoat is not made out of high quality fabric, unlike the DC Direct version. The rest of the costume is perfect however. With the addition of the machine gun from the other variant, this is a stellar piece. 9.2/10 HT Dark Knight: Perfectly proportioned, with outstanding articulation. Unfortunately this figure has a couple of glaring problems that put it below the other two. The utility belt has the same problem as the earlier Batman. That's minor compared to the issues I've had with the hands. They want to fall off with only the slightest attempt at posing the figure. The only way I can keep the left hand in place is to shove the glove up under the gauntlet. I may have a defective figure, but this is irritating at $175.00. 8.8/10 One last thing - The TDK Batman looks wimpy standing next to the Joker, mostly because the Joker looks bigger due to the disproportionate head and bulk of the clothing. The Begins version looks better next to the clown.

I got MM Begins Batman today from the Walmart clearance aisle. It was $7, but that was the same price I got Dark Knight Batman the day after Christmas in the normal toy aisle. You know, I really prefer the Begins one. He's sleaker & has a more classic feel. I'm also glad he doesn't have the shoulder pads, so I don't have to worry about breaking them off like I may or may not of done with my first DK Batman. The batarang is better too of course.

Okay, this is pertaining to the new 10" TDK Batman and Joker and different price points that seem to be popping up. I was out on a toy hunt today and realized something. There are 2 versions of the 10" Batman. One is electronic and one is standard, just like the Joker. Its just plastic and stand there.lol There is also no arm mechanism. I found that at Wal Mart, while Target, Toys R Us, and Kmart had the electronic version with arm weapon.

Well... my action figure collecting habit might be over in a few years.
Today at walmart I saw that the TDK basic figures, repeat - basic, were priced at around $9.50 a piece. Glad I don't want anything more from that line and that BatB toys are only $7.77. Now granted, when they first came out they were priced at $8.50 a piece, and then went down to $7.99 when the movie came closer. Hopefully something like that happens again. But who knows. If soon regular figures are the same price as what are supposed to be the collector figures. I might just have to stop. Can't stand paying $10 for 1 figure. Atleast with a JLU 3pack that has only one new character you get 2 other figures you could find something to do with.

$10 for a basic figure? I remember paying $0.98 for the first Star Wars figures... those were the days.

Though I never bought this item, I think it is a very nice piece, and would be a great display item for someones collection.

I went to Toys "R" Us, Target; I could of went to another, but didn't have time, Kmart, Shopko, and Fred Meyers yesterday. I technically went in search of a non-batman figure, but at the same time made sure I looked at what the places had for Batman as well.
The only place I found any Movie Masters figures was at TRU, and that was the first place I went. They had three Jokers, two Thugs, four Batman/Joker two packs, and one Batman/Scarecrow pack. I debated on getting the Scarecrow one, but I didn't because one I wanted the crime scene evidence mask & I didn't wanna pay 25 bucks. Thankfully one of the Thugs was the one with the matching mask, so I did get him; I don't really care about getting all five, and if I was to get just one, it makes the most sense to get the one with the mask the figure is wearing. I also saw a 4/5" line playset that I didn't know about. When you don't play with it it's shaped like the tumbler, but it could open up into a few different arrangements, I think. It came with a Batman & Joker. I don't think it was the Transforming Gotham City, but perhaps it was a different packaging than what's shown on the LOG site. TRU also a a bunch of the 5" figures in the original packaging. I swear they had the 5" figure three packs too. They also had some of those big batman figures. In the end all I got was the Gotham City Thug.
Question: there was this white stuff in the cracks of where both arms swiveled. Is this normal?
p.s. I did open the Sports Coupe. It's pretty cool.

I found a TDK Firefly single figure at my target. First time to see that. But of coarse, Target has upped their price also to around $9.50 a figure like Walmart.

I'm sure anyone that wanted them has them by now, but on Walmart.com you can get the two two-packs with Action-Wing Batman & Punch-Packing Joker and Battle-Cape Batman & Destructo-Case Joker together for 6.88 . : ) www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10910406Seperately they equal 8.50 ; punching packing pack is 3.50 & other is 5. Like I said, doubt it matters to anyone, but I thought I'd share in case.
