I thought it may be fun to revisit this classic show with some tidbits of information. Ill add some new facts and trivia every week, so check in often!
Heres afew items to get us started.
1. There were a total of 4 different license plates used for the Batmobile during the run of the show.

2. Reginald Denny who played King Boris in the episode A Riddle a Day Keeps the Riddler Away also played Commodore Schmidlapp in the Batman feature film. This also happens to be his last role.
3. Catwomans real name of Selina Kyle was never used in the television series.
4. For those who say the 60's series wasnt a real depiction of the Caped Crusader, several episodes were based off stories from the DC comics.
5. There was only one episode where there was NO trademark batfight.

6. Ceasar Romero, the Joker, refused to shave his moustache, so they just covered it up with make-up along with the rest of his face.

7. Whenever a scene was shot with just villains, or the screen went to a villain for a while, it was shot crooked, as a "joke" (villains are a crooked lot, get it, LOL).

A quick little tidbit:
The series ran for 2 1/2 seasons, it was renewed for another, but the sets were already bulldozed over. It was considered too expensive to rebuild.

In the shows 2 1/2 year run, there were 3 main villains that were portrayed by different actors thru the course of the series.
Catwoman: Julie Newmar, Lee meriweather, and Eartha Kitt
Riddler: Frank Gorshin and John Astin
Mr. Freeze: Otto Preminger, George Sanders, and Eli Wallach

Actors from the 60s show have lent their voice to animated Batman shows. Adam West portrayed the Gray Ghost in Batman: The Animated Series and Mayor Grange on The Batman. Frank Gorshin also voiced Dr. Hugo Strange on The Batman before his passing.
