SCORE! Found the new Action Cape Batman at my local WalMart. Nice figure, a little more cheaply made than the "Begins" version, but looks more realistic as far as proportions go. The cape mechanism should last about ten minutes in the hands of an 8-year old.

^^ Looks nice what is the POA on this figure? i can see he has cut shoulders. the action feature sucks especially with the cape folding like a backpack.

Ball jointed head, cut shoulders, elbow joint with no rotation, ball jointed wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. Nowhere near the articulation that the '05 version had, but it's still a good looking figure.

I picked up the Movie Masters Batman and Joker this morning at TRU. The Batman figure is a truly stunning sculpt. The Joker isn't as great as I hoped it would be, but it's still pretty cool. I was there at opening time and rushed to the action figure isle where there was nothing. As I exited, quite disappointed, I saw a display in the front of the store with Hulk, Iron Man, Indy and.....a few Movie Master figs and several, several rows of basic figs. They even had the Scarecrow basic fig. It looked alright, but I passed it over.

Ditto to all of that - except there was no Dark Knight stuff on the floor - I had to ask someone to run in the back and get it, and practically had to fight another cat off when he brought the box out and I started pulling what I wanted. At least the employee was savvy enough to know that when I asked for the figures, he didn't bring the basic line (shudder). Can't wait for the next series with the suit from Begins...

Heres my swag. All from TRUs. Wal Mart was already picked over. KB and Target both told me the 5th for their stuff. Kmart had nothing. FYE had a ton of posters. Im going to be back out by TRUs later when we go grocery shopping, Im going to go ahead and pick up Scarecrow. Overall, Im happy. I got the basic ones I wanted. There were NO purple suited basic Jokers tho and none pictured on the backs of any of the packaging. Im guessing thats another case assortment for him. Also, I counted 4 different goon masks for the MM Goon.

Ooh, since we had to go grocery shopping I went ahead and stopped back in TRUs and picked up him: The manager saw me again and started laughing "need to buy more huh?". I just grinned and agreed. They're really cool at my TRUs. He also told me that they are suppose to have much more arriving in the following weeks including their exclusives.

Saw all the figures and stuff the other day at Walmart in the middle of the night. Nothing IMO to get excited about. Though I thought the "secret sport coupe"(?) w/ the little batman and bruce wayne fig and the action cape bats were tempting. what was funny and interesting was the guy (scalper) that was buying off every single Joker fig off the racks. A cart full of jokers and joker thugs then a couple other items LOL.

Went to my local store where they get Batman stuff. The guy said that they'll probably have a few figs from the first wave of 5 inch ones by the end of the month. I won't get Scarecrow since my sister got me the Begins blood variant a few days ago, although this one is a bit better.

Hopefully, if its something I want, it will be on the website.

What am I talking about? It's Mattel, right? Of course it's just a rerelease. Hey, at least the Joker in this set has a purple costume.

Well, I guess I won't worry about these TRU exclusives anymore. Wish the playsets would come out. Those are about the only thing I'm still interested in.

Hot Wheels TDK 2-Packs! Pictures from amazon.com The Tumbler looks kinda different from the one in the Begins 5-pack (the one with police car, not with bike).

just been to my local TRU (Preston, Lancashire, North-West England) and the only TDK item they had was the Tumbler with the Batpod that comes out if it with the Batman figure attached. it was £29.99.
and can you believe it, they still have the Total Control figures from Begins, which are priced at only £2.96!
i bought loads of the Beginsd figures, but this time i'm only gonna get 1 basic Batman, a Joker and maybe one of the goons. and the Action Cape Batman and maybe a few other of the larger figures.
amnd that 4-figure set is not that good really. it looks like you rget the same Batman and Scarecrow figures from Begins, with just the new TDK Batman and Joker figures thrown in. if you already own the 2 older figures then it's not such a good deal. and Joker looks too cartoony to me.

You saw the new Tumbler? Did you take a good look at it? Does it look like better value than the Begins one? If you go there again any time soon, is it possible for you to take a few photos of it, because I missed my chance on getting the Begins one, so I'm thinking on getting the new one.

basically it's very similar to the Begins toy one that launched the missiles, (this one fires missiles too, one from each side near the rear wheel), and you can also open the canopy to put a 5" figure inside, but the whole top section of it lifts up from the front, out of which comes the Batpod with Batman figure attached to it.

yeah, you could put a figure in the Begins Tumbler also, the one that fired rockets and made sounds.
about TDK, why have they made the 5" Joker figure look nothing like Heath? is it because these are mainly for kids so they made him more cartoony? the 6" Movie Masters version looks closer to Heath.
and what's with the Ninja Bruce? they're just re-hashing Begins figures.

Atleast they made him a new suit... As for the cartoony Joker, I like it better than the Movie Masters oe

what are you supposed to do with the little masks/cowls you get with the 6" figures?

from what I read from various mattel Q& A's on the boards the 5" line is aimed more for the children and they thought the Joker was too scary so they made him less scary. I just picked up the 4" Dark Knight sports coupe with Bruce Wayne and Batman today. I've been looking for this since Jeff had posted pics of the Batman from the one he had found. It reminds me of the custom coupes Hasbro used to do when they had the Batman license. You just pull the fin in the back and it transforms. The figures both have 7 POA consisting of ball jointed head (Batman only Bruce has a cut neck) cut shoulders, t-crotch and knees. I think the IH might fit in here as Hasbro Joes do. I think the main thing is the legs have to be able to get very close together to fit in. Sports coupe - Transformed - (with Benny's head in Pic) Batman - Bruce Wayne - Seeing they don't have elbows I wish Bruce's arms were slightly bent as they look too straight/stiff as they are. Close up of the 2 figures - Scale pics - With Movie Masters Batman - With Hasbro's Indania Jones - I didn't take any MOC pics, because I tore it open in Wal-Mart's parking lot and threw the package out at Target. I did keep the back of the box which I found this funny...They spelt Bruce Wayne wrong. They had a sticker with the correct spelling over the old one, but when you peeled it back it was spelt Bruce Wane. Future sets - And after I pulled up the sticker -
