I wish DC Direct or Mattel would produce true to movie design figures for each Batman movie. Kenner didn't do a great job with most of the movie figures, which is sad. The Penguin figure from the Batman Returns line was a repainted Super Powers Penguin. Robin didn't appear in Batman Returns, but he had a figure. The Batman Forever and Batman & Robin figure lines didn't prodice one basic black costumed Batman figure. The Riddler, Poison Ivy and Bane figures looked nothing like their movie counterparts. I would love to see basic, single packed figures for each movie. Tie them in to a DVD release for better sales. I'm sure fans would buy them.
I would also like to see the same for each Superman movie. I don't know about other fans, but I would love to have a Nuclear Man figure... lol

I totally agree 100%. I also wish the Batmobiles from the first three movies and the Animated Series could have been 2 seaters. Cheers.

[glow=red,2,300]Yeah that would of been good. I would like more articulated animated style Batman toys[/glow].

I love the current DC Super Heroes Batman/Superman figures, but I would like smaller scale figures with better articulation than the previous Batman movie or animated lines. Superman Returns and Batman Begins figures have the right ideas, but I would like to see articulated wrists, ankles and ball jointed necks on the figures.

The Batman Returns Catwoman is dead on though.

Yeah, the Returns Catwoman is good. I also like the Riddler's look from the Two-Face/Riddler two-pack. Even the talking Riddler in the white suit looks good. Mr. Freeze had a good figure from the Batman & Robin line. The real shock was the Frostbite figure. We can't get Gordon, Alfred or a movie version of Batgirl, but we have Frostbite. Good figure, but I'm confused as to why he was made.
I think Batman Returns did a great job with Robin, but he wasn't in the film. The Bane figure from Batman & Robin was awesome. He would have been great in a comic style line, but he didn't have the movie look. That's not a complaint. I like the comic style figure.

Being the night owl like Batman, I thought I would add some more to this topic.
As I said earlier, I agree whole heartedly about the Batman movies. The only figures I felt Kenner did the best job with from the Batman movies were:
The Batman/Bruce Wayne with the Michael Keaton likeness. I swear, they could have used that body and outfit and just changed it out for Val Kilmer and George Clooney heads for the latter two movies.
The Joker from the Dark Knight line, but only with the head resembling Jack Nicholson. Body wise, Kenner merely reused the Super Powers Joker and repainted it and the coloring was awful.
Catwoman from Batman Returns. Could have used a more authentic version of the Penguin as opposed to the Super Powers repainted version.
The Batman and Robin 2 pack from Batman Forever. I recently painted Robin's cape black on the outside for autheticity. I also loved the Riddler and Two Face 2 pack.
Mr. Freeze from the Batman and Robin line. All others royally sucked!!
Batman: The Animated Series:
I would have preferred a Robin with a more authentic body mold as opposed to the Batman Returns repainted version. Only the head was good. Yet the Ninja Robin sculpt seems more accurate. Would have loved to have had a Bruce Wayne in the brown business suit. Otherwise, everyone looked great. From the New Batman Adventures Gotham Knights, I would have loved to have had the revamped Mad Hatter, Scarecrow and Bane as action figures along with a Roxy Rocket figure.
From Superman: The Animated Series, I would have loved a more authentic looking Superman figure in terms of body sculpt. Same as Robin in BTAS, head looked right, physique did not. And a Lex Luthor in the power business suit. Although it was great to have this version in the Justice League set, I would have enjoyed it in this series. I guess a Lex head with BTAS Two Face body repainted could work.
Batman Beyond: More of the villains, and an elderly Bruce Wayne figure, not to mention the Joker from Return of the Joker movie and from the classic animated movie, Mystery of the Batwoman, you guessed it. Batwoman herself.
Here's another one: I wish DC Direct could make an action figure of Superman based off the Fleisher cartoons from the 1940's. That would be a gem. Or how about figures from Filmation's Aquaman and DC Heroes cartoons from the 1960's.
Anyway, those are what I would like to see. Cheers.
