today i picked up 4 figures that i already had MOC so that i could open them EXP killer croc, cameo batman, riddler, & knight strike batman (pretty much the most regular batman i've seen in EXP line) anyway on riddler and croc both their heads are rubber, and their bodies are plastic both of mine have extremely loose heads...about to fall off no joke i am scared to turn them at all also the batman's grappling hook in this line is severely short... i mean...what would you need a 2 foot cord for in real life i'm sure he can jump farther than that... unless he was an assassin =)
anyway these are figures that were at the store i work at (grocery store, but we have a 4 foot toy aisle with the batman toys) they are figures that have been sitting there dead for a while, especially that riddler i'm talking 5 months+
(part of the reason for getting them is to clear room for shadowtek too!)

Whoa, less than an hour after you posted and his head's already off? You should contact Mattel and tell them.

I'm noticing an increase in the lack of quality. Several items I recently purchased for my son, when you attempt to move an arm, leg or wrist, it just falls off. Some I have been able to repair, others are casualties of war.

the riddler's head isnt exactly meant to turn, his hair is in the way it can move maybe 1/3rd of a full turn so i wasnt doing a lot of turning, his head was wobbly, i felt like if i lifted it straight up, it'd come out easily if i were to contact mattel...yeah i'm sure something drastic would happen like them telling me to return it to the store or something yes, 30 minutes after i posted, but a few hours after i had bought the figure it was bothering me more and more, the riddler's head i finally decided to post and i was looking at the riddler (with my hands, yes) but gently, and his head is now gone i an glue it back, and it doesnt matter too much since it wasnt able to turn much anyway but still... which brings me to anotehr point riddler can move his arms up and down at the shoulder joint as well as his legs up and down at the hip joint but that is it his head can turn 1/3rd the way around
literally that is it... The Batman has some hardcore inaction figures and it also has some nice action figures like most of the batman who can turn head all the way, as well as hips, knees, shoulders and elbows...

This is great discussion, but we should probably have it in toy questions and discussion rather than news. *moved*

I wasn't going to chime in but I changed my mind.
I too think the recent quality of the The Batman figures has suffered greatly. My son and I collect these toys together and naturally he gets to keep "the run off figures" as well as purchasing some for himself. He doesn't play with them too rough but on several occasions the paint has been chipping of - mainly from the faces (nose, chin). Some figures I received from KBToys.com came with awful paint jobs and already chipped.
We love The Batman toys and would like to see the line continue with better quality figres.
