Today I got a set of DC trading cards from 1991 and I have a question about them. The set is 180 cards and has everyone in the DC Universe from that time. It even talks about the big crossovers of the years before that and shows famous covers. My question is does anyone know why Batman and all things related to him are not in the set. No Batman, Robin, Joker, Catwoman, or Penguin. The set has Nightwing but doesn't mention anything about Batman on the card. The only place in the whole set that has the word Batman on it is on Deadshot’s card it has his first appearance. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Topps had the licence for all Batman related cards at the time. Impel did sneek Batman in, he's on the card that has the Crisis scene on it. I think it's 143

Yeah, it was kind of a rip off. I had purchased about 20 packs before finding out that no Batman characters would appear. They do have some great art on them, though.
