the head is slightly off, but other than that I like it.
For $100 I'm hoping for a some accessories more than a batarang and wings

The word hideous doesn't quite cover this one. I'm not sure who gave it the "ok" at DC, but they need to work a bit harder on their quality standards.

I dunno, the more you look at it the less wierd it looks. I think the problem is the level of detail on the head and face these dolls offer/require which contrasts with the character's original simplistic style. Basically, we've never seen Batman Beyond translated into such 3D reality before and he wasnt Nec. meant to be.

The eyes are far too small..and he honestly looks more like the 'fear ghoul' version of Batman from Batman Begins, lol.

LOL I thought the same thing. x ) Yeah...I'd never consider buying that. :/ It kinda bashes my recent warming up to Batman Beyond. I use to only care about Return of the Joker. I'm glad I changed.

$99? Even at half the price, I'd pass. I'll stick with my Burger King Kid meal version!

I hope they issue a public apology for this figure and release a new one that's actually based off the show designed by Bruce Timm.

I hate to tell you but this is already being produced. They need at least 6 months for prduction. I live in Baltimore, home of Diamond comics and my buddy that works there has seen the figure at some meetings and said it looks better in person. DC was just keeping up with the realistic look for the 13" figures. I'll try to get one early and give a better review.

while i'm digging all the Batman Beyond love (i just had to pick up the DC Universe Batman Beyond figure), this figure doesn't look great. the face is weird. there's too many sharp edges, like some kinda art deco statue from the Burton Batman movies. round off the face to make it look more humanistic and it would be better.

I hate to say it, but I buy almost every basic Batman I see, but that looks horrid. Batman Beyond just doesn't translate very well into cloth figures.

Look at the head! No I'm just saying there's been two Batman Beyond figures in cloth costums (Hasbros DCSH 9" and this one) and both looked horrid.

Got a pic? i almost bought this one when it was first released, but i was broke at the time and passed on it. Michael Crawford did a review for it (which is where this pic was from), and i was disappointed to find out that the wings can't be removed. i also thought the head was oversized.

Yeah, I'm not too thrilled by this one either. The whole problem with DCD, however, is they don't care what we think. They continue to push out extremely piss-poor low quality garbage, and charge us SideShow type prices. Even when they make a mistake, and produce something really great, it turns out horrible. Case in point: The 1:2 scale Batman bust. GREAT sculpting. Materials and workmanship, same typical low quality DCD garnage. The costume started falling apart within under a month! Since DCD is next to impossible to reach, and when you do get to discuss things with them, their arrogance is extreme, and the only way to get a point of their low quality is to show them, I took several pictures to Comic Con, and FINALLY got a response of "Well, it's hard to argue with pictures". Sadly, I have had to pretty much eliminate purchasing anything from DCD. The characters I love to collect, but, can no longer justify, due to the extreme expense and piss-poor quality. (And that is taking into consideration a 35% discount). True. There isn't a cloth feel to the Batman Beyond costume. Perhaps that is why it doesn't translate well? You're worried about the cloth? Look at the head! No I'm just saying there's been two Batman Beyond figures in cloth costums (Hasbros DCSH 9" and this one) and both looked horrid.

When you see it in person the head on the Hasbro figure is way too large.

Arg!...As a Batman Beyond fan I'm very disappointed with this figure. I agree with all of the previous posts about the (mis)shape of the head and they missed the boat with the costume. At least I have the DCU Batman Beyond figures.
LOG is the #1 Batman webite.
