If I am correct, and correct me if I'm not, The Tornado Tyrant was originally an Adam Strange villain. Then when he was cloned, the original turned over a new leaf and became the good Tornado Champion, while the clone became the Tornado Tyrant. The Champion recruited the Justice League of America to help him defeat the Tyrant. Later, T.O. Morrow fused the essence of the Tornado Champion with his robot, Red Tornado, in creating Red Tornado. Morrow sent Red Tornado to infiltrate the JLA but Tornado turned on his creator and became a good guy for real. He has since sacrificed his life seven or eight times, but his body always repairs itself once all the pieces are brought together.
Also I missed like the first three minutes of this episode. Who was in that part?

They have the teaser with Joker, Green Arrow, and Catwoman on youtube if you want to see it.
As for the episode, it was a bit predictable story wise. I like how they have added some depth to Red Tornado who, up until this episode, was pretty one dimensional. I'm really impressed with what this show has been able to accomplish in animation. That fight between Red Tornado and Tornado Tyrant was clever, animated well, and truly touching. Another thing I enjoyed was the philosophical discussions between father and son. I think this episode brilliantly shows how the team-ups can work. This episode had hardly anything to Batman, which oddly helped it.

The opening was awesome. Car chase with Joker simply sweet. My question though, doesn't Green Arrow have his own town to patrol ? Why is he on Batman's. Then the hero cars going from road to air was just cool. Great to see Catwoman.
On the ep itself... I was really glad to see Red Tornado again. I wish they would use him more. Major Disaster was cool. I really like Tornado Champion. A nice sidekick for Red Tornado. It was really sad how the rest of the ep unfolded. Red Tornado saying "Thats my Son' was just classic. I feel though that Tornado Champion's road to evil was just a little to short. Happened to fast, but hey its only a half hour cartoon. I was really saddened in the end when Red Torndao completely destroyed him. Hopefully with the magic of children's tv he will one day simply pop back up again and be good without explanation. Loved how Tornado Tyrant refered to Batman as "Uncle Batman".
Any one else getting serious Data vibes from this version of Red Tornado ? DrGreenEvil

I personally wish they would use more of the many characters in the DCU rather than using Green Arrow, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Aquaman, Green Lantern, the Atom over and over again.
