Thanks for the quick report PJ. I'm curious as to why you rank this new Batman as the best DCD has produced, given the several flaws you point out in your discussion. I have a quite extensive collection myself, including just about every single DCD Batman sculpt released so far, and I would rank the Jim Lee Hush Bats, the Batman and Son Bats, the Alex Ross Justice Bats, and the Matt Wagner Trinity Bats in my Top DCD Five (with a nod to the Gotham By Gaslight Bats, which I also really love, but didn't name because it is kind of a left-field version) - I'd be really interested in your Top DCD Five, as I know you have an extensive collection as well.

First off let me say I love the sculpt of the History of the DCU Batman. And it is the version of Batman I grew up with. To me they ruined the Hush Batman because of his legs. I hate the way they are posed. Because of the way they posed them he looks like he has thunder thighs and his left leg looks dislocated at the hip in almost every angle but one. From the waist up he's great, but unless he's posed at an angle I can't stand that lower body. The "Batman and Son" Batman just looks too bulky for me. I love him but he's just too muscular. Ross Batman - I hate the worry lies in the cowl forehead. The Trinity Batman is really nice and I have no real complaints with it, but I'm more of a blue and grey fan. My Top 5 DCD Batman figures would be... 1. History of the DCU Batman 2. JLA Series 2 Batman - the only thing I don't like are the human ears. 3. Superman/Batman Series 6 - (not a fan of the cape) 4. Batman and Sons Batman - (too bulky) 5. Hush & Reactivated Batman (Tie) - (I hate the pre-posed legs) This is the only angle I think he looks good at.

Nice top 5. I agree with you about the human ears on the JLA Series 2. But, his cape looks cool. I like the cape on the Superman /Batman Series six too though. I'm a fan of the more "realistic" bat look. Sorry, it's the only word I can think of right now. That 's what's so great about batman, there's a version for everyone.

I got my batman about two weeks ago and he great the articulation is fine but some don't make sense but what you going to do. the cape is very heavy so he keeps falling over alot to point i have to move him to the back wall for balance. still a good start for dcd for the extra articulation.
