On Blu-Ray.com, they say that the Crisis DVD will have a first look at "Batman: Under the Red Hood." www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=3787Isn't the next movie supposed to be Showcase though?

Hmm, I thought news of a possible new animated Batman movie would get some discussion.

[shadow=red,left,300]^It always amazes me what does and what does not generate some discussion around here.
Other then that, I wonder what Batman: Under The Red Hood would be like. [/shadow]

[/shadow] Well if it's based on Under the Hood, we'll be having Jason Todd make his animated debut and we'll see his death in action, maybe in a prologue. There must be two necssities though: KEVIN CONROY and MARK HAMMIL.

[shadow=red,left,300]^I strongly support bringing back Hammil!
Sorry guys, but after the disaster that was Batman: Gotham Knight, I am on the fence about bringing back Conroy.
But who knows, I will probably change my mind when I see the preview![/shadow]

[shadow=red,left,300]Sorry to say it Mr.Battastic, but Conroy was just plain terrible.
He sounded like fifty year old tying to sound like a twenty year old. Plus his voice didn't fit in with the animation at all.[/shadow]

The movie has been confirmed, and Judd Winick will be penning the script! www.mania.com/winick-pens-batman-red-hood-script_article_119543.htmlI have to wonder though, it says it will have the story from 635-641, but I hope it goes to 650 so we get the whole story. Also, get Conroy and Hammil back and we have epic win. Just imagine Hammil saying "Didn't I kill you?"

[shadow=red,left,300]I sense a very good debate coming.
Please Explain. How would it be a stretch? [/shadow]

[shadow=red,left,300]I sense a very good debate coming. Please Explain. How would it be a stretch? [/shadow] I think he means Conroy works better as a more experienced Batman, like in his 30's. In Gotham Knight, it's set between Begins and TDK and Bruce's kind of in his 20's.

Anyway, Thank-you All-Star for clearing this up![/shadow]

We finally got some new news on this: latimesblogs.latimes.com/herocomplex/2010/02/new-batman-dvd-to-peek-out-from-under-the-red-hood.htmlRed Hood screen cap: latimesblogs.latimes.com/.a/6a00d8341c630a53ef01287785ae8e970c-piWritten by Judd Winick and based on his 2005 Batman comics story line, it's Batman versus another vigilante, Red Hood, who doesn't mind cleaning up Gotham by leaving dead bodies in his wake. Animated guru Bruce Timm exec produces this pretty violent look into crime on the streets, and it's directed by "Superman Doomsday" co-director Brandon Vietti, with a cavalcade of stars as voice talent. It all starts with Bruce Greenwood ("Star Trek") as Batman, then continues with "Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles as Red Hood, Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Met Your Mother") as Nightwing, John DiMaggio ("Futurama") as the Joker and Jason Isaacs (the Harry Potter films) as Ra's Al Ghul. Can't wait, but no Conroy and no Hammil make All Star sad.

It's to bad there is no Mark Hamill. On the bright side, look at the talent! Bruce Greenwood, Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Isaacs! ;D
Hopefully this movie will be good!

I watched the first look of this feature on the blu-ray for JL: crisis. It looks really, really good! Nightwing, voiced by Neil Patrick Harris, looks to be a highlight!

[shadow=red,left,300]Just saw the new trailer over on Comic Book movie. The animation looks very well done. But the voice over was terrible! It was like hearing Kevin Conroy doing the Bale voice! But when the trailer shows a clip where Batman demands too know who a thug is working for, Greenwood's voice doesn't sound that bad there. But I will reserve my judgment for when I see it! [/shadow]

Yeah, I saw it this morning on Comic Book Movie aswell.
Looks awesome. I can understand the Conroy/Bale hybrid voice. Because let's face it Greenwood and Conroy do have a similar speaking voice.

I can't wait for this to be released. I know it's gonna be rockin!! And Neil Patrick Harris as Nightwing? Sweet! I love him!!! But it is a sad day when we don't have Conroy and Hamill playing the characters they were born to play.
Oh, and I thought Conroy did GREAT on Batman: Gotham Knight!!

I will agree with you on the fact that Neil Patrick Harris is awesome.
But if you think Conroy did great on Batman:Gotham Knight, then great to to hear you liked it. After all, nobody here is saying that you have to have hate his performance.
But just for fun, here is an exciting challenge for you! What was so good about Conroy in Batman: Gotham Knight?
