I dont know, but if they do decide to put Babs back into the Batgirl role, I want to see a return to the 70's costume.

I strongly advise those of you who have not yet done so to check out the DC Comics website's new online blog- The Source.
Topics include the new Batgirl, the Black Lanterns, and DC's acquisition of Doc Savage.

^ plus in the pic shown above its Cassie's costume and it looks a whole lot like her. Cassie could also end up being Batman, we'll know that one for sure on Weds.

^ Cassie is actually the most logical choice and was groomed by Bruce to take his place if ever necessary. she is the only person who as his fighting skills and she currently has good enough detective skills to fill in. Morrison is heavily involved in this and both he and Dan Didio love to do the unexpected and try to shock the reader and whatnot, so its very possible that Dick doesnt take the cowl. he probaly will, but its kind of anything goes when Grant Morrison has carte blanche.

Yeah, but Cassie's, well,...a girl. Not that I'm offending or anything but she'd have to get very manish if that's her on the previews.

Here are Frank Quietly and Phillip Tan's covers to Batman & Robin #4: So could it be Jason under the hood (no pun intended)? And who's the chick?

I've always wanted to see DC put out a book titled Batman & Robin and their first issue did not disappoint! Some thoughts...(SPOILERS BELOW) In the beginning sequence, we have Batman & Robin in hot pursuit of the Toad, whom originally reminded me of "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride", but on second thought wondered if Morrison was inspired by "The Frog", who was the main baddie of Courageous Cat & Minute Mouse in a Batman-inspired cartoon created by Bob Kane many years ago... Courageous Cat & Minute Mouse (The Case of the Gun Mix-Up, featuring the Frog) www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksS0qTPB6HwAlso, I found Dick's interrogation of the Toad to be an interesting parallel to the scene in The Dark Knight Returns, when an aging Batman climbs to the top of a building, threatening to drop a young punk if he didn't spill. Dick only creates the illusion of danger--a notable difference between Batmen. I like how Dick, Damian, and Alfred have now set-up shop in Gotham City at (and underneath) the Wayne Enterprises building. This is exactly what Bruce Wayne had done all throughout 70's-era Batman comics and it suits Dick better, rather than having to live at the Wayne Family home. The characterization of all three (Dick, Damian, and Alfred) are very well-done. Dick still harbors reluctance but maintains his sense of responsibility and loyalty in doing what's right...Damian, despite his upbringing, is adamant about fulfilling the station of the Batman, perhaps with a determination to surpass him...and Alfred, who has seen so much still exhibits the strength of support when Dick needs it most and patience when dealing with Damian's attitude, while believing that he can be steered onto the right path. In addition to the Toad, Professor Pyg, his Dollotrons and Circus of the Strange are downright unnerving! I can see where the David Lynch aspects are creeping in. I really appreciate that Grant is introducing new villains as the Bat-World needed some new blood. And is it me, or is the Ghost Train amusement ride where Prof. Pyg is hiding out the same place where Joker tormented Jim Gordon in The Killing Joke? Anyway, great tension between Batman & Robin, love the costumes, love the new Batmobile, and the teasers for the rest of the year have me very excited for this title. I actually wish that they'd hold off on Bruce's return so we can see more of the new Dynamic Duo in action for a while!

I saw it online, I better find it. EDIT: Here we go: 1. Damian doesn't want to work with Dick. 2. Red Hood 3. Batman vs. Batwoman while Batman? comes out of a Lazarus Pit 4. Simon Hurt returns! That settles it. This is replacing Detective on my pull list.

From what I've seen and read about Batman and Robin, I think I'm going to start getting this comic. It seems like a good "jumping on" point.

Read it. It was, well its hard to explain, kind of bland on the hero side, the villian portian was good though. I have a couple questions, like why did they get a new batcave?

I'm one of those rare few who are hoping that DC will come to it's senses, fire Morrison or at the very least ban him permantly from ever writing another Batman story, retcon all his crap, bring back Bruce as Batman, Tim as Robin, and get rid of Damien.(whether Morrison created him or not) Till then, there's lots of older stuff to read. I'm really enjoying all the Elseworlds titles.
