Didnt see a discussion thread on SDCC merchandise, so Ill give my opinions here. VERY, VERY, VERY DISAPOINTED AND DISGUSTED. Toy Fair was sad, and SDCC is worse. Action League was nothing more than concept designs, which with Mattel, means they wont get made. I saw nothing "Batman" related from the DCU line. Infinite Heroes showed nothing that was new. Brave and the Bold, which should be their biggest line, has nothing more than repainted Batmen and B'wana beast. Which wasnt he shown last year!!?? The coolest thing, imo, was the Batman and Joker Mezits. Even those though are way over due. They even have a display of both basic and Movie Master figures! Really!? Why waste time on a line that is being sold at dollar stores and plugging up pegs at TRUs?
I never thought that I would see the day when the Batman toy license would reach such a low, but thanks to DC/WB/Mattel, I have been shown it.
Since I was 13 I have collected Batman comics and toys and memorabilia. Now, 24 years later, I have all but left the hobby. Its not due to my lack of love for the Caped Crusader, it for the lack of talent in the comics and lack of good, creative, and quality merchandise. In the end, I dont need to have "stuff" to show that I am a Batman fan, and the rights owners of this once spectacular property helped me in that decision.
As for SDCC, that is disappointing. You'd think DC would take advantage of the venue to showcase great Batman products...especially since this is their 75th anniversary. Let's hope someone from Mattel and DC are fans of this site and see that the loyal Bat-fans are unhappy.
its not much of a find but more of a haul, i manage to get two SDCC dc direct BD batman figures from arkham asylum off ebay for good prices. i open one and he is a awsome figure. sure he does have the usual dcd articulation but he a few new ones like swivel gloves and boots. i know its not the best but its good for me, i like that he has sculpted cuts on his uniform. i will admit i still would have like if he was more black and grey instead of blue but i can get use to it. i'll try to get some pics of him later.
just got the funko SDCC exclusive black/grey batman plushie off ebay and he is so cute!! its really funny how big his head is to his small body. i seen these before but i was waiting for a modern version of the blue plushie and its has been answered.
also i got the hotwheels 1/64 batman the brave and the bold batmobile, looks cool i like it. i hope they make a 1/50 scale of this one soon.

Well i went to my NewsAgenetsy to see if they had any Batman comics because i felt like i wanted to read something, they didnt, shame , but i did come across the latest issue of The Simpsons Comic, i have some Issues of that as well, but what led me to buy it was the Cover, Homer was in the old 1960's Batmobile Ride, you know where you put coins in and stuff, and there is a kid Dressed up as Robin waiting to use the ride, it looks cool, ill upload a pic later
That's a long story (let's make it short) : I used to go often to a comics store. One day, I received an e-mail from them saying they were sadly closing down and selling everything they had to their best customers (30% off). They had plenty of stuff to decorate the place, among which this statue. I came in and said : "You really mean EVERYTHING?". As soon as they replied "yes", I pointed the statue...

i went to this store called, sams warehouse, its like the Walmart of Australia, anyway, my sister went looking at stuff with her friends and i had to go pick her up, thats when i saw it, a Batman Shaped Toothbrush, With Batman from Brave and the Bold on top of it, i had to get it, then i saw tooth paste with The Batman from Brave and the Bold on it, i got that aswell hahahahahaha
i was in Target yesterday and picked up the BBATB Total Armor 3 pack with Metallo, Superman, & Batman. its an awesome set and i was happy to see it finally hit stores. now while i'm not complaining that they made the only Richard Corben Metallo that we'll ever see, its on odd choice since he's never been on the show. at first i thought maybe this set was just using the same style as the show figs, but it says right on the box that its from the show. maybe it really isnt cancelled and Metallo will be a future episode? regardless, its an awesome set. but know that the Batman in the set isnt actually in his black suit. its a metallic dark blue with a black cape and the legs are black. it looks pretty cool actually. i only got the set for the Metallo, but the Superman and Batman are nice looking figs too.

manstink: hey has their ever been a like origin story on martha wayne. I think it would be cool if she were like in some kind of cult, and she was like ritualistically murdered for trying to leave the cult. Anyways thats my opinion.
