Yeah, Heres my story on trying to get the batbot. First, I order it off amazon/etoys paying about $6 more than I would have if I had found it at walmart. Then I finally get it and its the wrong figure. Amazon got the names and pics mixed up. They had the batbot pic under the electric armor name. I got the electric armor one. So Now I ordered the disklauncher batman with the electric armor pic hoping I get the right thing. Gonna end up returning something which sucks condsidering I might not get all the money I spent on it back. And then guess what happens after I go through all that. My walmart gets more in. Really made me mad. Id return both if I knew I could get my money back, but the website says they might not refund my shipping. So even if I did return both and buy it at walmart id end up spending the same amount. IT really sucks.

My TRUs has received in that new 8 pack of repainted TB figures. The one that features a green costumed Catwoman. $50 sticker price.
They have also got in the 4 pack with the starngle sleeve Joker figure and Batgirl. $25.
These are the first "new" Batman toy items they have received in since the DC Super Friends a couple months back.

I got my Blue Devil in the mail today. Its actually a miracle I got him. I was searching amazon like I always do seeing if something had popped up or went down in price. Got to Blue Devil and saw someone selling him for $5.49 + $5 shipping. After a few minutes of rationalization I bought it. My thinking. This is a very hard figure to find, so paying double especially since its shipping would be ok. Also it was the price of a 3pack, and if I had waited for a 3pack it would have just had more Batman and Superman figures I didn't want. Plus wouldn't have come with his trident. Also, with the way distribution is now-a-days, there was no guarantee that I would have even found him. That was my thinking and now I have him. Ill probably keep him in the package for a few days just so I can bask in the fact that I have him. One less thing on the list of impossible things to find.

Nothing. I mean nothing, and Im getting tired of it. Aside from the above TRUs exclusives I found last week, there has been NO new DCSH, TB, or JL toys hitting the shelves in my area. It has been months since Ive seen a new wave on the pegs. DCSH is still nothing but Superman and Bizarro. TB is nothing but the old Batman variants from about the 2nd EXP wave, and JL, forget about it. Unless you want Supes or Batman, theres nothing. I may see a Steel or Supergirl, but thats it. And how old are those?!
I have begun to move out of the action figure realm as far as collecting, simply because it just doesnt hold an interest for me anymore. On top of the fact that I cant even find any new figures anyway just adds to it. As far as DCD figs go, the price tag is just too much for a plastic toy. IF I pick up any DCD Bat figs, Ill wait until they hit the cheap stores for a fraction of the price.
I just don't see how a toy company can set back and let poor distribution go on like this. I dont care anymore whos fault it is, retailer or manufacterer. Since Mattel was given the license, Batman toys have gone down a steady slope into oblivion.

I agree Shadowbat. The toy isles have become a pretty sad sorry state. I have barely even bothered stepping foot in stores over the last few months. Most that do carry JLU have old (orange card) stock and only new Supes/Bast singles. NOBODY has new DCSH. TB might get a little love but I barely pay any attention to that line... hasnt ever really been anything but 15 dif paint jobs of each batman variant since the start anyway. I did see the repainted silver gearhead last night though. The only DCSH ive seen to convince *new stuff exists, were two camo pants Banes at a TRU a month or two ago. Nobody carries them and those that do just have a couple new and or old supermen, new or old Bizzaro and maybe once in a while a surprise parasite. JLU is carried almost exclusively at Targets and only half of them ever seem to get / put out anything new. When they do get anything new, its apparently one case and one time only. Im forced to become an online buyer for JLU from now on (which has it's own set of absurd poblems). I'm seeing JLU through to the end but have given up on DCSH. Any improvement that might come for DCSH is too little too late for me personally. Not saying I'll never buy any of it, but I WOULD have much much more.

The DCSH line had such great potential. I was excited about the line, but Mattel quickly deminished that. I still need a Batgirl (either one), Two Face, Catwoman, and Clayface. Azrael I never liked so I dont care about him.lol I also find it rediculous that you cant have a ManBat unless you pay an aftermarket price for one. It makes you wonder if WB/DC even cares about their merchandising anymore. I hate to say it, but Marvel own when it comes to figures and toys.

Tuesday Morning has Batman lego sets for 29.99. They had the batcave, the giant batmobile and the joker aerial assault. A good deal with the batcave going for 89.99 originally.

I found some "The Batman" pens. When you spin the pen, the background on the cap moves. There were 2 styles. Also found a "The Batman" Valentine's Day CoinBank. All of this is with square chin art.

Well, after Black Friday, ALL the pegs were empty at TRUS and Target. I thought, excellent, now they must restock and get new figures in. Went back in 2 days later and low and behold they were completely restocked......
with the same old Superman DCSH and old TB figures that had just sold out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to thank Mattel and the retailers for officially killing current Batman toy collecting for me. Im done.

I hear ya Shadowbat, I am also through! After the 900th The Batman repaint, getting a load of the new Mattel DC line Batman and low and behold different paint, different head, same old body, And the umteenth load of s*%t coming from Mattel, I am also through collecting Batman figures of this type. Guess I'll be left with DC Direct (considering they ALSO have thier share of repaints) or nothing at all.

It's been many ages since I posted here, and in that time, I've managed to find a few good things, including the comic-style Catwoman. The pickings have been very few and far between for months, however. I thought the big gear-up for Christmas would bring a bonanza of Bat-toy selections, but so far, not so much.
Here's my major complaint: Target is the only store in my area that carries any Batman or JLU toys. Wal-Mart hasn't had them in over two years now. At all. Rarely, there are Hot Wheels Batmobiles, but not a figure from The Batman or JLU to be found anywhere in the store. Movie Spiderman, Marvel figures, and Power Rangers aplenty, so it isn't like they despise action figures altogether. I don't have the funds or time to travel the 80 miles I'd need to go to check out the next nearest Wal-Mart, so I don't know if it's just my local Wal-Mart or a more widespread issue. Has anyone else encountered this? A Wal-Mart that simply won't stock Mattel DC-related action figures? Or am I simply trapped in some corner of the Twilight Zone where Batman doesn't exist at Wal-Mart?

You aint alone. mattel and walmart have a "strained" relationship and the lack of dc/mattel related merch is pretty much accross the board everywhere. Here it has become increasingly worse over the last year but some walmarts at least have little spatterings of superfriends and The batman. thats it. I do my best to avoid going to walmart anymore anyway. no reason. i disagree with some of their policy/practices and they have nothing i need or want now. certanly nothing that i cant find in a more pleasant environment either imo (such as target). what makes it even more sad and odd is how walmart's toy isles have been consistantly half empty and nearly always a complete disaster area (as bad as k-marts traditionally).

I've been lucky the last few weeks. The Toy's R Us in Anderson, SC has restocked the clayface/catwoman set six times (4 in the past week and a half). Targets in the area (Upstate SC) are getting better, but Wal-Mart still has nothing.

Went to my target tonight and... MAN!!!!!!!
They had restocked on everything DC. New JLU, picked up Mr. Miracle. Can't remember the last time I picked up new JLU from there. Plus a new thing of singles. No Grodd though. Honestly surprised at that. Its a Target exclusive and you'd think they'd be horing that out like they did the Doomsday pack. Refreshes of the current THE BATMAN line.
AND!!!!!!!
WAIT FOR IT!!!!!!!
They had DCU figures. Saw with my own eyes Orion, Penguin, and Etrigan. I don't collect 6in so I left them there. But just in case someone wants to go get them. Kinda surprised they had DCU already. Its crazy.
Really glad I went to Target, DrGreenEvil

While at Target I spotted 2 new tshirts. One of Batman and one for Joker, both 70's comic book style. Very cool. I may pick them both up after the holidays.

Found DCUC Red Tornado, Orion, and Penguin at Target (only bought Penguin). Strange find since virtually all the toy isles, pegs, and shelves were bare otherwise. Also, for Christmas my wife bought me the Deluxe 13" Batman, Batgirl, and Nightwing!

At the White Plains NY Kmart yesterday I saw and passed of 5 DCSH Cassie Cain Batgirl figures and 4 Two-Face figures. I picked up the lone Bane for my MOC DCSH Batman display. All of the Two-Face cards were damaged big time...But ther you go for any loose collectors in the area still in need. Of course I went out looking for the DCUC1 figures along with the "The Batman" Hawkman, the Batman/Superman 2-Pack and another GL. No luck on any of those though. (Just the remains of the GL Hawkman case at a few Wal-Marts)

While not a toy, the grocery store I work at has received in a whole display shipper of Batman fruit snacks in a new art style package.
On the toy front however, not one of my local stores has received ANY new Batman or DC toys.

Well, I found this a bit strange, but at Super K I found ONE DCU Batman fig. No other from that line, just the one Batman. What was strange, aside from that, was their action figure aisle is 90% empty. No restocking at all since Christmas, but there was this one new Batman. I didnt take it tho, they had it marked at 10.99, and I think thats too much for this figure.
