I also am worried about all this. Especially the Teen Titans and Superboy. It seems that Superboy, Wonder Girl, and Kid Flash have all just appeared, while Tim Drake is still exactly where he was before this happened. Except he's back with the Teen Titans instead of the Outsiders. I am also disappointed that he will not get a title with the Outsiders. I will primarily be getting Green Lantern books, which all look to not have too many changes. I will also get Justice League and Justice League International. I am sort of bummed that the team featured in the latter is somewhat different than the team featured at the end of Justice League: Generation Lost. Also, what's with not having a JSA title. Also, I'm guessing the other characters whose books were featured in the JLA line will be the remaining seven members of the new League. Captain Atom. Mister Terrific. Hawkman. Firestorm. Green Arrow. That leaves two more open spaces. I'm guessing that J'onn is unfortunately excluded due to him being replaced in the magnificent seven by Cyborg. It's funny. The first post in this thread mentioned feeling like DC was pulling a Heroes Reborn. That's exactly how I feel. Hopefully any negative effects won't last too long. J'onn will be a part of Stormwatch which is why he isnt in the league. as for the JSA, they cant be around. whats occuring is that this is a full reboot for Superman & Wonder Woman and then small changes to every other character. thats where the problems are arising. Batman and GL books will basically just continue from where they leave off in August with no real change to their respective continuities. Superman however is supposedly now set to be the first superhero in the DCnU. hence, no JSA. no JSA = further destruction to Hawkman's continuity and character. why they even bother giving him a new solo book when they just hate the character so much is beyond me. the worst is that they dont even let the actual Hawkman fans write his stories. the last timean actual fan of the character, who actually knew the character, wrote a Hawkman book was Jimmy Palmiotti. he should be the only person allowed to write Hawkman. Teen Titans are screwed up because they screwed with Superman and Wonder Woman, which screws up Superboy and Wonder Girl, which screws up the Titans. plus, they are further messing with things by adding Wildstorm characters into the DCu, which i'm all for, except they are making it that these characters have been in the world for as long as the regular characters. like they all know each other. and its only select characters from Wildstorm, which also completely screws with Wildstorm continuity, which i actually thought wasnt possible as its just a mess. there's alot i'm looking forward to with this reboot/renumbering, but alot i'm just dreading too. i also think alot of this is just media hype and its just character redesigns with minor continuity changes aside from Superman and Wonder Woman. knowing that Batman isnt changing much makes me think that Barbara isnt actually going to be Batgirl how we think and be walking again. i'm assuming she'll still be wheelchair bound but that the series will place her inside a computer and it will be very much like Tron. remember in Batman: The Return when Batman told her about Internet 3.0 and gave her the blueprints and there was a Batgirl suit on them that looks just like the cover image to Batgirl # 1? thats what i think its going to be. again, more hype.

A sneak preview at Justice League #1 www.newsarama.com/php/multimedia/album.php?aid=43643From what I've heard now, superheroes first emerged 5 years ago in comic book time. That probably means alot of stories are gonna get retconned, but there's also the queestion of how this will affect Batman stories and characters in such a short amount of time. Well, Batman technically isn't a "super"hero and he has been considered an urban legend, which fits in with Hal saying "You're real?!" The point is this means Dick will still have been Robin, Nightwing, Batman, and Nightwing again, and Damian will still be around 10. And jlavaia, in case you haven't seen more Superman news, Action Comics is confirmed to be focusing on Superman's early days while Superman will be set in the present. The first arc will focus on Clark acquiring his new suit which is ceremonial Kryptonian armor.

Well here we are six months into 'The New 52' and I am overall unimpressed. While the Green Lantern side of things is going quite well with them just picking up where they left off, the Justice League side of things is all screwed over. The League first formed five years ago to fight Darkseid. And here I thought Darkseid had died in Countdown to Final Crisis. Cyborg has replaced the Martian Manhunhter. J'onn is now with Stormwatch, which I haven't read but he did show up in Green Lantern Corps. In GLC, J'onn shows up to aid Guy Gardner. Though the used to be each other's teammates, in the Justice League in the late 80's and or early 90's I believe, neither of them showed any recognition of the other. And then the Justice League International is not anything like what was hinted at at the end of Justice League: Generation Lost. Back then I was very excited about this series but it is not nearly as good as it would have been if they had continued with the plot points from Generation Lost. And on top of all that, DC Comics has recently changed their logo again to one that is not nearly as cool as the one they changed it to last time. How frustrating is all this?

I really wish this couldve turned out to be something special and a real success. Sadly I consider it basically a massive failure. It continues to feel more and more like just another lazy dull gimick. The idfference being with this one theyre actually alienating and driving away much of their once devoted / addicted audience. All I keep seeing are reasons and excuses to just abandon ship all together... and Im a lifelong DC lover. Ive given this a chance and tried but they went for style over substance when all they should be concerned with is substance. On top of that the "style" theyve gone with just isnt very good at all IMO lol.

The end of Justice League #6 gave me a sigh of relief. They have not forgotten the plotpoint of reality being rewritten at the end of Flashpoint. Hopefully all the retcons that the New 52 have created can be reversed in some future crossover mini.
