Hey guys. Im just poping in to give my opinion on the new teaser. Hate it. Out of all the teaser posters ever done for any Batman film this is the least "Batman" out of any of them. There is nothing iconic about this. At all. Inception was the very first thing I thought of when I saw this. This is not Inception. This is Batman. When are we going to get that again? Hopefully when Nolan leaves this franchise. I know that there are alot of Nolan fans out there and they love this take, good for you. I hate what Nolan has done and cant wait to see a return to the more comic book based elements. Realism is the worst thing that ever happened. Its nothign more than a lack of creativity and imagination. My opinion. :cheers I actually agree with you on everything you put type. But i cant live without batman movies. Also i never thought of inception until i read a comment about it.

Personally, I feel realism makes comic book movies more accesable to more mainstream audeiences and gives people the chance to consider the real-life mental and physical implications of being a superhero. I should also add that it allso depends on your defiention of the word "Realistic."[/shadow]

IMHO the Nolan Batman is the highest peak of Bat-Perfection that one can achieve outside of the comic book medium.

Damn some people will complain about anything and everything they try. For ten years after batman and robin, everyone bitched that they weren't making dark bat films...now...what, they're too dark for people??? if you're a fan, you just need to go for the ride. [shadow=red,left,1000]LOL, Yes complaining about Batman being to dark is ridiculous. But just for the record, that isn't what Eric is talking about in his post.[/shadow]

I hate what Nolan has done and cant wait to see a return to the more comic book based elements. Realism is the worst thing that ever happened. Really? The worst thing? Before I respond to that let me say that I'm not a Nolan-worshipper. In fact, I'm looking forward to what the next director does with the franchise. I very much enjoy Nolan's two Bat-films and expect to enjoy TDKR, but I also think both films have major flaws. In general, there's something too clinical and emotionless about Nolan's films. More specifically, here's what I think he messed up in the Bat-films: His implementation of Scarecrow was pretty bad; He can't film an exciting hand-to-hand combat scene to save his life. TDK was way too long because he tried to shoehorn in way too much stuff. That film, while it definitely has some cool stuff, is basically one scene rushing on to the next for 2 1/2 hours. So, like I said, I'm no Nolan-worshipper. That being said, his films are the best Bat-films to date IMO and the element of realism is exactly what the franchise needed after it had become a fat, bloated, multi-million-dollar version of the 60's TV show. Nolan's take is the worst thing ever? Seriously? I have three words for you: BATMAN & ROBIN.

Yes, to me, IMO, yes it is.
