Okay guys, I am pretty new to reading batman comics and comics in general. I have started reading the batman comics by volume but am having difficulty following what order to read the comics.
Here is what I have read so far and in the order doing so...
Batman Vol. 1 Court of the Owls Batman Vol. 2: The City of Owls
Currently I am reading Night of the Owls, and after that I have Death of a Family waiting to read. What comes after Death of a Family? Is it Batman Vol. 4: Zero Year-Secret City that hasn't been released yet?
Also... I am buying the single editions as they are released now. I believe I have only #26 and 27. I want to start with #1 but I don't know the story, volume or anything. It is difficult for me to find all of this online. I can get information from the DC website but it only lists the comic #... and I have the last two that have been released (26 & 27) and nothing before that. Can I expect some of these earlier issues to be included in Zero Year Secret City?
I know this sounds complicated because I am a batman noob. But please help me, this is driving me NUTS.
Again I am currently reading Night of the Owls and need to know if death of the family and vol 2 zero year secret city is what follows and if they are up to date with what DC is releasing (as I am buying the new single edition comics as they are released)

I believe that with the collected books, * Batman Vol. 1: Court of the Owls collects issues #1-7 of New 52 Batman * Batman Vol. 2: The City of Owls collects issues #8-12 of New 52 Batman as well as Batman Annual #1 (with Mr. Freeze) * Batman Vol. 3: Death of the Family collects issues #13-17 of New 52 Batman
then Batman Vol. 4: Zero Year-Secret City will collect issues #21-24 and #0 of New 52 Batman as well as Batman Annual #2 and is due out in hardcover in May, while Batman Vol. 5: Zero Year-Dark City is supposedly including New 52 Batman #25-31, but since #28 turned out not to be a Zero Year issue, that may change by the time they actually put that collection together. (Volume 5 is currently suppose to be released in hardcover in October.)
As for issues #18 - 20, no idea how those will be collected. #18 was the "Requiem" issue, a theme that tied in to all the Bat-books after Damian's death in Batman Incorporated, while 19 and 20 were a two-issue Clayface story.
