This episode is what we've been wishing for. It was how the Teen Titans came together. It also answered some of my questions. Robin said he just moved here after he took out a crook who said that this isn't his city, and isn't he supposed to be with...That's all he said when Robin interuppted. I think that the city they live in is Bludhaven. You never know. Also, this stuff happened: Starfire was a prisoner by some guy and Robin freed her from the handcuffs with his lock pick. After that, she kissed him. Whoa, you just met the guy. They also had some references to the future like: Raven said Beast Boy was funny, which started him telling jokes all the time. Cyborg said he was only going to say this once: Boo-yah! Right. This is one of my favorite TT episodes. 10/10 PS. Will they just mention Batman on this show already?!

Basically this is an origin story. From the looks of it, it holds the feel of a movie/DTV than a regular episode of Teen Titans.
I hated the fact that the Batman motifs was used for Robin. I was expecting Batman AND Robin. Damn them.
Origin stories are more down to earth and its fun to explain how everything came to be.
This also feels incomplete. It ends with Robin wanting to keep in touch with the others, but it doesn't explain the birth of the Titans Tower and the beginning of the TEEN TITANS.
I mean we fans know how that happened. But not the others who watch this.
From the way it is, does it seem that this Robin is Dick Grayson? And does it somehow lead the idea that it still maybe is connected to Timmverse?
Does anyone think they should've made this as a DTV?
You know guys, I just realized theres three more episodes to go.

This was a cool episode. I felt the thing was rushed, but only so much can be put into half an hour. I really wanted Batman to just pop up. I want to see what he would look like in the TT style animation. So far, only Robin will have been done in four different animation styles(B:TAS, TNBA, TT, and soon to be TB). Starfire went from completely mad to slightly odd in like a minute. It had one of the best thoughts ever in it though, why would Beast Boy need to keep a secret identity when he is green. It seemed like everyone but Robin had an initially different costume (Raven had the same clothes, but her facial expression was different from usual). I say it was quite a good episode.

Very good episode, one of the best of the season.
For those not in the know, this story tracked very closely to "The New Teen Titans" origin story from 1980. That story even had Starfire kissing Robin to learn English.
Well done adaptation. Nice to see that they kept to tradition. But then this show has always paid healthy respect to the past.

Oh, so that was why she kissed him. I didn't understand that before. I got to wonder if little kids could understand that that was the reason she kissed him. I just figured that her adrenaline was running high.

I got to wonder if little kids could understand that that was the reason she kissed him. I explained it to my 7 year old. He seemed satisfied with the explanation.
