Ya. I read that too. I just hope Gyllenhal lands the Dawes part.

Yep, thats the word from Jett as he has received it from Latino review. Still not "officially" announced yet tho, but Im sure this is the decision. Im indifferent to this casting because I really didnt care for the character. I wouldnt have been upset if they didnt bring RD back at all, but Im guessing it would almost be essential to introducing Dent.

Hey is she related to Jake Gyllenhaal?

Well the latino review is a source I would take very seriously, Maggie is a very good actress and if she has taken the role I imagine it wont be the "10 minutes" of screen time that was rumored.

BOF is also now reporting that Aaron Eckhart has been cast as Harvey Dent.

Aaron is the most likely candidate at this point as well as Magie.

If both Jett & the Latino Review said it, I'd count it as a fact. I'm quite happy with this.

and i quote
"Thursday, February 15, 2007 - 9:04 AM, 2:59 PM CENTRAL TIME: Aaron Eckhart has been cast as Harvey Dent/Two Face. CLICK HERE and HERE for confirmation in the trades. No press release yet, but one should be coming shortly I've been informed. I must say that I'm pretty happy about this! Of all the names rumored, Eckhart was the BEST, IMO (Props to LATINO REVIEW for breaking the story)... "

Im actually ok with this choice. My familiarity with the actor is really minimal so I dont know and will have to I hope he can conjur up the manic energy I imagine for any Two-Face. I feel good about though.

I will officialy add his name to the list once we get a press release. Though i think it is true that he has been cast. I saw him in the Black Dhalia and think he would be a great Dent.

I can't say I recall seeing either of these two in any films, but I'm sure they'll do well. I had hoped they'd introduce a new love interest/female character instead of staying with the same one, Dawes, but I guess now she won't actually be a love interest, because of the events in Begins. Bats getting all lovey in every film gets old. Now we can focus more on the DARK KNIGHT uninterrupted. Very funny Tom/Katie scene, All Star.

Looks like there still may be hope for Screcrow in TDK. Cillian Murphy was questioned about his involvement and simply said "I can’t comment on that." Read Artical HereIf he is coming back i suspect he will have something to do with The Joker's creation.

Usually when people say "I can't comment on that" it means they're returning in some form. Hopefully Mr. J gets infected by the fear gas that exploded in the narrows & he goes a hunting the bat-demon what killed his wife.

*UPDATE* Maggie Gyllenhaal cast as Rachel Dawes
Ok, so in recent articles on the casting of Aaron and Maggie, they have stated that Morgan Freeman is going to appear in TDK and IMDB.net is now listing him. I have found no official confirmation, the one peice i did find was this from IGN:
So what do you guys think?

I think this is stupid! Morgan MUST be in the sequel!

[glow=red,2,300]Im sure Nolan would make sure that he is back, They could add some nice scenes in The Dark Knight , with fox knowing Bruce is Bats(I mean he would have to with the tumbler being all over the news an all)[/glow]

Wanted will stop him from having a huge roll in this film, and i feel like it its just a scene or to its almost not worth it

Well in all actuality Lucious doesn't really need a big part. I think like 3 or 4 scenes is fine if they're spread throughout the movie. If Ian McKellen can shoot both X-Men 2, LOTR: Return of the King, & a Canadian film in one year (all of which he had major parts in) so can Morgan Freeman.

LOL! Ya.
Anywho... as far as casting, any theories on Alan Dale? Although it's not official he does resemble an older version of Moroni from Monster Men

|
|
Post by Blackgate on Mar 15, 2007 23:22:19 GMT -5
im really curious about Dale, because there was only one press release about him, maybe because his fame i bet it has something to do with the gangs though
|
|
|
Post by arkhaminmate on Mar 16, 2007 14:48:39 GMT -5
^ you're probably right about him having something to do with gangs. It's quite odd that WB announced his casting but not his role. Strange indeed. Either Nolan has something important for him that he doesn't want us to know yet, or he's just got a small role that in all reality the movie could go without. One of the two. Although I believe the first to be more likely

FINALY Some news on Alan Dale from BOF It was also reported that it would be small and a villain a few days before the above post. And fot those that read the Fergie rumor, it appears it was a complete rumor with no substance to it (thank god!). www.batman-on-film.com/batmovienews.html

Yes, i did find something! It seems a film maker aproached Geller about a role in his film but was told it would clash with batman, so i found one article thst speculates she could be playing Harley Quinn. Read it Here
