Yeah, but with some modifications. Like how they modified the suit in Returns.

I think J-man is asking if this is the same suit as the pic of Bale in the suit from EW, not if this is the same suit as the one in Begins. the small pic posted at the bottom of the previous page looks very big and bulky, like he's wearing a duvet, not like the tight-fitting suit Bale is wearing in the proper large picture. so it's likely that this is just a stunt suit for whoever the stuntman is for long shots (is it Buster Reeves again?).

I was excited about a "new suit" but I'm quite disappointed with this. Not the direction I was expecting (or ever wouldve desired).

It looks like a batsuit to me. lol.
A bit more armor...but I'm guessing its not for use through the entire movie, but rather during a particular sequence or battle

it's been confirmed on Jett's site, the suit in that small pic is indeed just a stunt suit and a stuntman is wearing it, see this page: CLICK

Yeah, I was wondering if the suit in the pic was the new armor or not. It's obviously shot from a distance, but at a closer glance, I can see the outlines of the armor plating.

yep, same new suit, but just a cheap version for stunt purposes and long shots for setting up scenes before Bale gets on-set.

i like it. i like how they have to make him wear padding and armour to show he's really just a vulnerable man underneath. i'd have had a problem believing it if they'd gone the cloth route and just explained it away as being some super-dense material to protect him. . I completely disagree. That's exactly what it should always look like and that's the perfect explanation. All that armor is completely unnecessary. I love the Tron comparison!

Personally, if I saw a guy running around on rooftops in tight grey spandex, I'd be anything but scared. I'd have a hard time taking a movie version of the Batman seriously if he was wearing spandex and black briefs.

That looks much better. If i were going out , that's what i would want to wear. The Begins suit looked good, but still it didn't look as protective as this one. Thanks for the HR Pic.

For the most part, I really like what I'm seeing, and as usual, I'm sure I won't have any complaints when I see the suit in the movie. I agree that it would be silly to make the suit or the chest symbol gold, but between the pic of the stuntman in a batsuit and the way this picture looks, I think it's pretty apparent that it's just the lighting that makes it look gold. As I recall, the lighting in Begins promo pics sometimes made that suit look bluish or silvery, but the suit turned out to be black as night. I hope the actual suit isn't bulky like the one on the stunt guy, and I'm sure it won't be. It's not in the EW pic.

i hate the EW pic. I was extremely disappointed. But that shot of the stunt double, i think the suit could work. I dunno, I'm trying to be optimistic, i even had a dream about this movie last night!

Trying real hard to be optimistic myself, but I am hating this suit (especially) and disappointed with most of what I'm seeing thus far... the suit, the "Bat-Pod", the Joker.

o no, it's definitely a piece of crap. but i'm hoping the story and character development outweigh the look.

I wouldn't judge the suit based on the EW pic. The lighting and angle are just too weird to get an accurate idea of what it'll look like. If anything, go by that stuntman costume- at least the light is normal in that pic. I wish they would give a normal look at important things like the suit...at any rate, would it be so hard to hold off on judgment until we've seen the suit clearly? I'll bet it'll be acceptable to most everyone when it's completely black.

I love this suit! It improves on the BB one. Even though the BB suit was good enough as it was, this is so cool!!!!! Can't wait tlo see it in the movie!
