[shadow=teal,left,300]Amazing.....
Lived up to the hype, and then some.
First of all, the audience was amazing, we even had our own Batman! lol (His costume was awesome btw) For some reason the trailer real had "Froze" right before the movie was to start, anywho, after a few minuets of blank screen, "Batman" jumps up and starts screaming "Start my movie!". Hilarious stuff. But I digress, back to the movie. the fight scenes were great and very fast paced. The 'humor' was good and not cheesy. ("nice coat" being my fave humorous line) Scarecrow was amazing as well. The mask was freaky! Zasaz (sp?) had the scars! loved the twist and the ending was great. The whole theater erupted in screams and applause when the Joker card was flipped. This was the most fun I've ever had at the movies. Worth every penny of the $9.75. Can't wait to see it again tomorrow night!
4 Stars!!!!
(Sorry for the bad review, if you can call it that, but its past 3 am and I’m not so coherent.)[/shadow]

[shadow=blue,left,300]I just got back from the midnight showing here. I am floored. The movie was AWESOME! WB definately has a hit on their hands.
While waiting for the movie to start everyone was being loud and running around but as soon as the movie started it was dead quiet. Where should I begin. First off, wonderful story. I'm so glad I din't spoil myself early like other movies. I never saw the plot twist coming. I was glued to the screen from beginning to end. The story flowed nicely.
Christian IS BATMAN!!
The music fits nicely.
When my wife gets off work later today I'm taking her to see it. I woke her up a few minutes ago to tell her it was better than Spider-Man. She doesn't believe me. She supports her dad, who is a Spider-Man fan.
Gordon is finally as he should be. When the movie ended people were cheering. [/shadow]

Just saw the film...wow. Loved it from start to finish...and what a finish! I'm so glad I avoided the spoilers on this film. It's funny; I remember telling myself that Neeson really looks more like Ra's Al Ghul - I wish he had been cast instead of Watanabe for the role. Oldham is perfect as Gordon, Freeman as Lucious Fox was a delight, even Katie Holmes played her part well. Bale is so good it's hard to describe...so much better than anyone playing the role before him. My favorite moments: -In a nod to Burton's 1989 film, the Dark Knight tells Falcone "I'm Batman" - the place went nuts! -Batman tells the homeless guy "nice coat" -Crane casually asks Falcone "have you seen my mask?" -all the scenes with Lucious Fox -the final scene with the "calling card"
I could go on and on about this film, but it's late...in short, it is all we have hoped for and more - unbelieveable! ;D

(Minor Spoilers)
Well this movie found a way to get every actor to steal the show. Reviewers are calling it humorless? I think not! This had the best one-liners out of any bat film. I had read the script before seeing it so I knew the Ra's Al Ghul suprise at the end, and I was glad that all my spoiler free friends finally got to find out. It was so hard not to blurt it out. What I loved most of all is that they made Thomas Wayne out to be a loveable character and that Gotham was at a time, almost a utopia. That way there's an element of tragedy but also some sort of goal for what the city can be once more. Well I'm tired now but man was that an amazing flick.

I love the movie very much, I can feel the fear in Gotham. this will be the first movie in years that I will see multiple times. And I will probably head to an IMAX screen (1.5 hr away) to see it on a big big screen.

[glow=red,2,300]just got back from the movies and i have to say that this film is definitely the greatest batman film... the Ra's Al Ghul twist was wicked, i never expected that... zsasz had the scars, but he doesn't have the shades and the Blondie hair... i like the part where batman threatens detective flass... i also liked the ending where Jim Gordon showed the joker card to batman... that scene reminded me of the BATMAN: YEAR 1 ending...
*EDIT*
i almost forgot, i also like the part where Rachel electrocuted scarecrow's face... that scene made me laugh... hehehe

Finally after all this wait, I've seen it. I went to the midnight showing with my brother Batlink and best friend Batboy. I can't express what I'm feeling right now. It was so unbelievable I couldn't take it! lol.
I'm going again today. There's so many great parts in this movie I have to see it again to remember them. I loved Bale's Batman, so intimidating and dark. The theatre was packed, which was suprising because it was the midnight showing. My brother and I showed up 2 hours early for the best seats. During the movie people cheered through some parts which was great.
Now it's time to see the next showing.

Absolutely worth the wait! Christian was outstanding, the story involving and appropriately paced, Freeman and Caine were awesome and Murphy was creepy (as Scarecrow should have been.)
Points- - Even though I wish the fight scenes could have been less chaotic to better view the butt kickage, the effect was more important to the character. I finally agreed that you're not supposed to see him dispatching hostiles, just know that he does it well and with an air of otherworldliness. The suit makes for good visual blurring and he doesn't *want* you seeing his method, just the result. Evenso, I wanted to see more of the Keysi. -I was surprised at the level of humor. Bruce/Batman was appropriately dry and Alfred's sarcastic digs in true form. -I enjoyed the nods to everything fanboy/girl. Especially the use of different elements from many of the comics. Even the "Rise of Sin Tzu" book. Plenty for hardcore fans to appreciate. -The Tumbler rocked. -Although at first I was somewhat dismayed that he let Rachel in on the Big Secret, I was glad that Bruce didn't get the girl. -Loved Gordon. The Batman/Gordon dynamic was well formed. -Enjoyed the touches like the morning after"Bats are nocturnal" and the visual evidence of the bruises.
Points to ponder: -I did have a problem with the "I'm not going to kill you but I don't have to save you" bit. Wasn't that a big issue with Jason Todd's questionable treatment of the Garzonas problem? I know Ducard needed to be stopped, and there *was* probably little chance of Batman being able to save him but there's still that question. Perhaps it was intentional to show that the line of not killing is always there for Batman, and that it is his choice to not cross it. Something for him to brood over later? I dunno. -I wanted more angst, more of the broody side, but I guess that's more of a personal thing. Plenty of time for that in the next movie. -There were a few times when Christian's lisp was cracking me up - sythetic psychotropic *is* a mouthfull, but it just...yeah. I love him anyway.
The theater was full, and there was clapping and cheering at the good parts. Lots of belly laughs. Also whispering when certain fandom elements were shown. At the end, there was a giant round of applause and cheering with the appearance of the Joker card. Outside no one wanted to leave - everyone standing around in awe and chatting with strangers about the film. I'm hoping everyone is satisfied with Christian as Bruce/Batman now and relieved the franchise has been rescued. I can't wait to see it again now and catch all the things I missed.

*SPOILERS* WOW! There isn't one word to describe how awesome and great that was. This is the Batman movie we've been waiting for! Yeah, I went to the midnight screening and I was surprised on how packed it was. I had some laughs and complements at, cause I whore a Batman costume. ;D It wasn't really that great of costume, but other people had a kick out of it. Anyways back to the movie. The story was amazing. I kind of got lost near the middle of the movie, trying to understand what Scarecrow was up to, but then I got back into it. There were cheers at parts, especially when the Joker card turned over. I was also screaming at that part, since Joker is my favorite Batman villain. The fighting was SO cool. The humor was great. I couldn't believe the Ra's twist. I thought to myself awhile back that Neeson looks more like Ra's. All in all, BEST movie EVER!!!!! I'm going to see it again today. Probably three more times today, lol.

TOTALLY AMAZING...THE BEST BATMAN MOVIE OF ALL TIME! ! !
***** (5 out of 5 stars)
Last night my brother and I got to the IMAX 2 1/2 hours before the movie started and just stood there and waited and waited, and on the wall they had two plasma tv's replaying Charlie and The Chocolate Factory trailer. We got to know some of the ushers, and talked with other Batman fans, some young kids even showed up dressed up as Batman, Robin, and Spiderman, and they had there own sidekick some kid dressed normal with a plush Batman doll in hand, funny stuff! Anyway the usher came and took my ticket (I was first in line) and I bolted for the theatre, and as I was running down the hallway my brother yelled to me but I thought he was upset that I got a good jump on him, and was going to get the best seat. Anyway I got my seat and he came in saying the guy said we can't come in for another ten minutes, so we had to go back and wait, but still got first in line...and when they let everybody in I bolted again for the theatre, and as I rounded the corner and ran towards the door a female usher stepped out in the way and I almost knocked her right over, we both laughed and yelled for me to enjoy the show, and as soon as she caught her breath my brother pretty much did the same thing.
Now onto the movie
I LOVED IT! Christian Bale is the one and true Batman from here on out, he tops Keaton, Kilmer, West, and Clooney! ! ! ! I don't want to sound like a broken record and pretty much say what has already been said, but I would like to say a couple of my favorite lines from the movie was:
1. Wayne Manor is on fire and Bruce has that carrying beam on him, and Alfred shows up and tries to help him get it off and then he looks at Bruce and says : "With all those pushups that you do, you can't push a log off of you"
2. And at the very end of the movie when LT. Gordon says I never got to thank you, and Bats says "And you'll never have to" man the goosebumps and shiver that ran down my spine.
The Gordon/Batman relationship was done perfectly as was Bruce's with Luscious Fox. I think that Micheal Caine as Alfred stole the show, he was brilliant. The Scarecrow was done really well, and when he was sprayed with his own fear gas by Batman, and the way Batman looked was awesome, totally like a demon....to the scarecrow.
Again Super Great Movie and I will definately be seeing it again, and again, and again!

OK Folks-just got back from an afternoon showing and had to share my thoughts.First of all,I have a secret to share...I didnt have high hopes for this film.I read the script that was leaked awhile ago and had watched the trailers and behind the scenes footage and shomehow it just seemed....lacking.But I firmly believe that if you dont have something nice to say just keep your mouth shut so I kept most of my fears to myself.I'm happy to say it was much better and much more enjoyable than I was expecting. This is hands down THE BEST live-action versrion of Batman we have ever gotten and its a great way to set up the franchise.I hated the idea of Katie Holmes character since it seemed like she was just a rip off of every other Bat-love interest since Vicki Vale, but even that part of the film was better than I thought(especially her speech at the end).I did have a few problems with the film but nothing major as the good far outweighed the bad.Cant wait to see the sequels. And did anybody else think it was odd that the same little boy in a red shirt kept turning up around Batman...and seemed to be Batmans biggest fan? Did anyone else wonder if that little boy is supposed to be a young Dick Grayson???

I just got back from seeing the movie, and it wasn't bad for an Elseworlds type of bat story. As far as it being a new favorite Bat-movie, well there wasn't much to compare it to movie-wise before, so yeah, I think that even if someone didn't like it, they could agree it was better than the other live action versions. Like I've believed from the start, it was written better and acted better (mostly) than the previous live action films. It's definately not a definitive Batman movie in any way, but it had some good moments. I still have quite a few problems with the film, but at least I wouldn't be embarrassed to have this one on my DVD shelf.

the only thing I was really wondering was, the last time Rachel saw Bruce was when she dropped him off in front of Falcone's resturant, and she had just slapped him and Bruce got out of the car and into the resturant, I was wondering why she didn't say something to him like I thought Falcone had killed you seven years ago, perhaps a guilt trip or storyline could have been added to her character.

Of course I loved the film as well, and I join nearly everyone in having warm and fuzzies for the film and showering kudos'.
I did want to mention one thing that I thought was interesting, worked in a way I couldn't even imagine and in truth changed my opinion.
When Liam Neeson was first chosen as ducard/ras I was at best hesitant about the choice and worst thought there must be a mistake. And even after I was sent a script, I actually thought it would work even less.
Here is why: Neeson does just not say mean as a snake tough guy to me as Ducard surely was in the comics or a purely ruthless as Ras. It may be because I have watched most of his movies and he seems to have such a kind demeanor. And his eyes rarely have ever had that edge to them in any film except maybe darkman.
But it worked and I realized why he worked. Because Ras isn't evil at least not in his own opinion he think, "Why doesn't every one think this way" He truly believes he is good. And so as I watched I saw this evil madman played by a guy with a kind demeanor and I thought you know this really works. Because he gave I am evil but I don't think I am, and that I am right and your crazy appearance to a “t”.
Forgive my ramblings but I am new…. To the site not to Batman

The movie gets an "A" rating. Oldman nails Gordon, the relationship between him and Batman works. Nolan and Goyer delivered a great film. I have higher expectations for round 2. Bale does not have to try so hard with the voice of Batman, if he lowers the Bruce Wayne he's nailed it. I hoping that the Blue and Gray flower may lead to a costume choice in the future. Scarecrow was perfect, I loved the fear-gas scene with him and Batman. Alfred perfect. Ras/Ducard- Liam played it well. Does this mean Mattel will be relabeling the toy line now that the twist is out? Until Dead End becomes a full length feature, this ranks as choice for Batman films to date. P.S for the earlier member, my son is 5 and I think I may wait for him to see it on DVD, the violence level is a little high and since Batman makes his first app. 1 hr in I'm not sure if it will hold his attention. Word of mouth should boost this movie.

As many of you may have realized, it takes a lot to impress me on the Batman front. I can be very critical of the way he's handled and demand that creators due justice to the character.
Well, I just got back from Batman Begins and it was perfect. Just perfect. It was far better than either Burton film, easy.
It had a compelling storyline, fine acting, strong dialogue, a believable plot and a rational explanation for everything.
In short, it gave you what the best Batman stories give you: the ability to suspend your disbelief, the ability to say to yourself, "Yeah, that makes sense. That could happen."
I've bent over backwards to avoid spoilers so I was stunned by the revelation near the end.
I also loved seeing pieces of Year One and DKR in there.
I have been waiting for about 30 years for the Batman film that got it just right. It's finally here.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!
This movis is downright amazing! EVERYTHING was set up perfectly, including Katie, who gave a very good performance. Fox was also at the top of his game, but Batman; oh man, WHERE can I start with Batman??! Where to end!??! And the Joker card was gold, the whole theater got chills in that scene.
