After watching Gary Sinise in CSI: New York the other night I think he would be a solid if not "THE" pick to play Harvey Dent/Two Face (NO HARVEY TWO FACE please) He has the acting chops, is a pretty decent looking guy to go along with that Handsome Harvey nick name he has. I don't really think you need a big star powered name to play a villian, look at The Scarecrow, what has Cillian Murphy really done? 28 Days Later, and a few other minor films. As long as they do justice to the character that is all I ask. But Sinise does have years of theatre and hollywood films on his resume, so he knows how to act and act really good! remember him from Forest Gump?

Thanks Greg! I will return the favor.
Another guy that comes to mind in playing Harvey Dent would be Vince Vaughn? What do you all think?
So my top two picks are Gary Sinise & Vince Vaughn

I'm not a fan of Vince Vaughn playing Harv. Anyways has he done any serious roles? Tho he wouldn't be the worst choice and i imagine the writing will do harvey justice (no pun intended). I'm on the idea that as long as Harv is serious and has goyer and nolan behind him and not have the cornball dialouge of batman forever, then they can pretty much cast whoever vaguely looks like him. Tho i would prefer a more darker demeanor actor. Anyone would be better then what was seen in Batman Forever.

I may have seen him in one of his serious movies but it was awhile back so i'm not sure. But i guess if he was in Psycho then he's qualified for 2face.

I definately think that Vince Vaughn has the right stuff to take on the role of Harvey Dent, he's a good looking guy and kind of reminds me a bit of the Long Halloween Harvey Dent. Either Vaughn or Sinise for me to play Two Face/Harvey Dent. And as long as your an actor and a good actor at that, like Vince is, he has definately had his share of serious movie roles and is great at comedy, so I think that is a plus to have.
And I know this has been said before, but look at Micheal Keaton, NOBODY thought that BeetleJuice or Mr. MoM could be Batman and I think he did an excellent job with it

I just got back from an advanced screening of the Skeleton Key and Peter Sarsgaard was pretty good. Without giving anything he plays a lawyer and was pretty good. Get rid of the southern accent and he might be good. He has the look but i don't know how good of an actor he is. Might be an idea but i'm not banking on it.

true Matt. but i do agree with BatmAngelus. Clive Owen would be good. Ah, thank you. I was reading this magazine in the waiting room today. It was an old issue of Esquire from early spring. On the front cover was Clive Owen in a suit. Very Dent-looking. I was tempted to color the other side of his face right then and there. Anyways, I read the article on him and I have to say that I feel more confident about him as a choice. He's really into dark roles (Closer) or heroic roles of flawed, dark heroes (i.e. Sin City, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead). He never wants to be seen as the true hero, in the vein of Clark Gable. He likes playing on-the-edge characters where you can see the intensity right underneath him. Personally, I thought all of this was perfect Harvey Dent actor material. My only qualm with him is his American accent sounds very much like a lighter version of his Scottish one. But heck, I think his Scottish accent is bad@$$

Clive Owen would be great but i remember hearing that he's being persued for alot of roles and is very difficult to cast. He's one of the actors everyone wants. Maybe twoface's intensity shall draw him to it. Here's hoping.

Alright this isn't my best idea but Gavin Rossdale from constantine had a two face-ish look to him. Spoilers for constantine ahead. He plays Balthasar in the movie and rolls a coin up and down his fingers. At one point he gets half his face burned off with holy water. He looked like two face. BUT the problem i see with considering him for the role is that he's not that good of an actor. The main thing i liked was how his face looked. Nolan should watch it and do somthing similar. That was my problem with batman forever. Two face looked like he was wearing make up, he didn't look burned. Just a thought.

When it comes to Two-Face's personality I hope Nolan gets inspired by BTAS. The problem with Batman Forever's "Harvey Two-Face" (who came up with this stupid name anyways?) was that Tommy Lee Jones was not very handsome in first place. His 'good' half had about as many wrinkles as his bad half. And don't get me started on the 'bad' half of his suit - not even a drag queen would wear something like that.

When it comes to Two-Face's personality I hope Nolan gets inspired by BTAS. When it comes to his personality Outrageous i really hope nolan gets the inspiration from BTAS as well as some of the better comic books that featured 2face. I would suggest the Long Halloween.

Guy Pierce would be great as Two Face. He would have made a decent Batman/Bruce Wayne too if Christian Bale had not played the part. I shiver to the core when I see Jude Law's name crop up again and again. I really think he is over-rated. He always seems so wooden.

I've always liked the idea of Guy Pierce. Denzel is an awesome choice! I actually think he may be just what the DR ordered for the "right" portrayal?

@ Batrez, Denzel is only 51.
going back to Batman '89, Billy Dee Williams wanted to be Dent because he knew the character would turn into the villain two-face later in the sequels, unfortunately he was tossed aside by Joel SuckMacher.

;D I believe that it's pronounced "SuckMuch-er", a name handed down through the ages that originated in a distant villaged named SuckMuch... ;D
Anywho...I was thinking about ^ and Billy Dee's choice of Harvey Dent; yeah, the main reason why you'd sign on for a role like this/ that is to get payed now as well as make money for the sequels featuring Two-Face...Although he wasn't used later on, I still think that it was a smart business move on Mr. William's part; you sign up for a role that will pay the bills in the future...? I wonder what Burton's Two-Face would've looked like?...

That's right...(I forgot about that)...30s sounds reasonable, also because it would be a better age to deal with the stresses and pressures that come with the title of D.A.

To be honest, I'm not much of a fan of the "Guy Pearce for Two-Face" idea either. I understand that he's a natural casting choice since he worked with Nolan on Memento. But, to me, he doesn't have the look that I'd like to see of a young Harvey: handsome, yet intense looking that maybe something's wrong with him. Pearce has done well in playing characters who are in control of themselves in his movie roles. In Memento, Leonard Shelby seemed very much in control, even when he was telling Joey Pants that he'll shoot his head off. Pearce handled himself well in the intense scenes, but was ultimately missing the edge that made me kind of scared or frightened. There wasn't an impression that there was an intense anger inside him just waiting to pop out- something that I think would've been interesting if it were part of Shelby's character. In The Count of Monte Cristo, Pearce plays the villain, but he was less evil and more of a selfish jerk. He was great as a jerk, but this film is a better testament that Pearce could've made a better John Constantine than a Two-Face. Guy Pearce is a good actor, but I can't see him as Two-Face. I also doubt that he'd want to go through the prosthetics considering that he said in an interview that he didn't want to do "something stupid like" dress up in the rubber bat suit (look it up on the Batman-On-Film.Com Archives if you want to find it). The only Batman-related role I can see him as (and Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale agree with me on this based on their Casting Call for Dark Victory) is Jim Gordon, and that's only IF Gary Oldman is unable to do it in the future. Pearce is fully capable of playing a sympathetic, human hero and playing the role wouldn't require him to have any heavy costuming or make-up. If Nolan was at the helm and Oldman couldn't do it, Pearce would be my choice for a substitute. Besides, he's already starting to look like Oldman. Oldman Pearce
