Batman and Robin Where should we start? 1.Bat-Credit Card 2.Hockey Team from Hell 3.Robin being pulled underwater 4.Clooney's goofy grin 5.Bane as a dribbling idiot 6.Rubber Lips THE LIST GOES ON AND ON! If you have any other worst movie moments from batman and robin feel free to pst them here. Joke: George Clooney's Batman and Arnold Schrwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze were just to nail in the coffin of a Batman franchise deader than Thomas and Martha Wayne.

Worst movie moment? For me that's easy: Nygma 'transformation' when he kills of Stickley the whole scene is just nerve-wrecking, bizarre and absolutely annoying. I still consider Batman Forever as a half-way decent movie but that sequence just kills it.
Batman & Robin...don't get me started...that movie didn't have any good scenes to begin with.

There are so many cringe-worthy moments in B&R that it is hard to pick just one... I'm going to go with the final fight scene on the telescope between Arnold and Clooney - specifically, when Arnold kicks George, and the two scientists watching from their perch cry out "Dirty Fighter! Dirty Fighter!" Also any scenes (this goes for "Batman Forever" as well) that feature Pat Hingle as Gordon...what a travesty that casting choice was, going all the way back to Burton.

I hated that scene and all I can think of is "Caffine will Kill ya" because when I saw Batman Forever there was this little kid sitting behind me and he kept repeating that line for about 20 straight minutes!

BATMAN: when the guy with knifes on his feet is flying towards Batman. Sorry but that just was not a good idea.
BATMAN RETURNS: Penguins with frickin rockets attached to their backs. I watched it recently and it really made me think of Dr. Evil.
BATMAN FOREVER: Gossip Gertie. Nuff said.
BATMAN & ROBIN: oh what's the point.
BATMAN BEGINS: "Where were the other drugs going!" I hated that delivery.
MASK OF THE PHANTASM: "Jujitsu is no joke" even when I first saw MOTP that line really stuck out as annoying for some reason.
SUBZERO: Haven't seen in a recent enough time (I know what I'm doing today).
MYSTERY OF THE BATWOMAN: (I'll be watching it right after Subzero.)
RETURN OF THE JOKER: I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

Batman: the goons at the begining-"what are you!!! " i hated the delivery. Batman Returns: the origin of the penguin. seemed weird and vague. Batman Forever: Two Faces 'Joker' laugh. Batman and Robin: every scene Batman Begins: none that i noticed.

[shadow=red,left,300]Hmm..let's see...
Batman: Alfred letting Vicki Vale into the Batcave.
Batman Returns: In the end, where Batman is trying to convince Selina not to kill Schreck, one minute he has the black around his eyes, the next when he rips off the mask it's gone. (Right before he rips the mask off you can see no "panda eyes".)
Batman Forever: The Bat buttshot when he puts on the prototype "Sonar" suit.
Batman & Robin: Bat iceskates, Bat credit card, need I go on?[/shadow]

[shadow=red,left,300] Batman Forever: The Bat buttshot when he puts on the prototype "Sonar" suit. [/shadow] Oh, GREAT bullock. Thanks a lot for putting that terrible image into my head at 7:00 am. My absolutely least favorite moment is Batman saying that "he'll get drive thru". Just reeks of cheesyness to me.

@ Bullock, about the no Panda Eyes in Returns, that was probably a conscious continuity error, as they couldn't have him rip the mask off, and have black eye makeup on, so they decied in the scene where he rips it off, to not have the makeup.
They are trying to fool us into believeing the cowl/mask fits perfectly around the eyes, even in Begins they don't address the issue. I would have liked Bruce to have test-fitted the cowl while he's making it, and Alfred pointing out that he would need to put black makeup on to cover his flesh, in Begins. and when he saves Rachel and takes his cowl off before returning to his birthday party, it would have been nice for him to have either tuned to the camera for us to see his panda eyes, or for him to get a towel and wipe it off his eyes. they went for realism in this movie, but small things like this have been overlooked (accidentally or consciously, I don't know).

actually i think the nipples on the Bat suit in B & R were the worst. it was so stupid.

I think the butt shots were the worst. why on earth do we need to see that???!!!
yes, Batman is a human, so he has a bottom, we don't need to know how tightly the suit covers it, as long as it does cover it so he doesn't get arrested for indecent exposure.

I just realized that B&R isn't for kids. It shows alot of nipples and butts.
But of course there's no nipples on Batgirl's suit.

its just a really bad continuity error, but why does Robin/O'Donell suddenly have his 'normal' black/red suit on when they go back to give Alfred the cure to Stage 1 after beating Freeze, when he was wearing the 'new' blue/silver suit while they were fighting with Freeze/Bane? and could anyone do me a favour? could you post pics of Batmans blue/silver suit he wore at the end of B & R, partucularly the head/cowl, because it has some silver parts on its back, but i can't find any clear shots of it. I am painting one of those 12" resin models of Clooney in the blue/silver suit. even advertising pics for this model aren't painted accurately enough: its supposed to be something like this on the back of the head, but I haven't found any clear pics of it: and they haven't painted the silver toes-caps on his boots.

I think you misunderstood, that is not a pic of MY model, those are publicitiy shots from the seller on Ebay, but I was pointing out that even he didn't paint it accurately enough. I will definitely post pics of my actual model when I complete it.

oh, ok, my misunderstanding then you can find them on ebay, just search for 'resin batman' and you should find an unpainted one for around $40. it comes in 2 pieces, the main body piece, and the cape. the movie was a stinker, but I really like this blue & silver suit, and even better, there's no nipples!! I also liked the Sonar suit in Forever, these 2 kits look cool: and is the Clooney cowl just a repaint of Val's sonar suit cowl? they look very similar: is there a thread dedicated to Batman vinyl/resin models here?

not the whole suit, just the COWLs look similar I wrote the suits are obviously different. I haven't seen any vinyl or resin Batman from 'Begins' models yet, but would love to find and build 1. the only model kit from Begins I have seen is the Tumbler.

Hmm..let's see... Batman: Alfred letting Vicki Vale into the Batcave. From past experience, this has been a popular "worst scene of the movie." Honestly, though, I don't understand it, no offense Bulock. At this point in the movie, Vicki Vale knows that Bruce Wayne is Batman. She didn't need Alfred to let her in. Like Silver St. Cloud in the comics, she always suspected that Bruce wasn't who he seemed to be. And then when she sees him explode and try to fight Joker, only to get "shot," she is in complete disbelief at the transformation. She tells Knox, "You wouldn't believe it." Then, she sees the old newspaper article about Bruce's parents. Knox says, "What do you think this stuff does to a kid?" and then Vale walks out. She's not angry with Knox, she's walking out to talk to Bruce because she's figured it out. I'm not sure what you thought of it, Bullock, but I've read several people criticizing it as Alfred letting someone in on Bruce's secret, which I don't think was the case at all based on the newsroom scene. Alfred lets her into the Batcave because she already knows Bruce's secret and wants to talk to him about it. She wants him to have a normal life and leave the darkness. In a way, Alfred wants Bruce to do the same thing ("I have no wish to spend my few remaining years grieving over the loss of old friends. Or their sons."). That's why he lets her in. It might not have been clear, but I think it was subtle and made sense. Anyways, with that interpretation, I hope this helps you enjoy the film better, Bullock.

B&R:Batgirl opening the Laptop and Alfred having the Batmans entire secrets and EVERYTHING right on there-I mean CMON!!!!It was like Batman secrets were his wallpaper or something

Batman:Alfred bringing Vicki to the Batcave Again, what is so bad about that scene?
|
|
|
Post by JokerFC on Jul 24, 2005 12:41:33 GMT -5
because it wouldnt happen- thats what.Alfred would NEVER bring anyone to the cave even if they were upstairs shouting the odds about seeing Batman-he would get Bruce up there and leave the final decision to him. as he has said once in the comics-"who you make privy to your secret is not my affair sir-but I will always respect your decisions and leave the final act to yourself"

I don't know. There really isn't anything that Bruce would have to decide on since Vicki already knew. He wanted to tell her about his secret anyways in the apartment scene.

Like I say Alfred would never bring someone to the Batcave of his own accord or without Bruce knowing-that was MY problem with that scene
