and is the Clooney cowl just a repaint of Val's sonar suit cowl? they look very similar: Actually the entire Batman & Robin movie was a repaint of Batman Forever. They just added more neon, more heroes, more villains, more camp and cut down on that excess baggage of depth...

LOL @ Outrageous.
@ JokerFC, the thing with the secrets in B&R was that they were all on the cd (not laptop) Alfred gave to Barbara to give to his brother, so if he died, his brother could continue with Bruce/Batman.
But being a nosey little girl, she broke open the cd box, and tried to hack her way into whatever secrets Alfred was passing on to his brother. Thats why she found out all the stuff about Batman. It wasn't just there on his laptop.

Having just watched Batman (89) I have to say that Vivki Vale being let into the cave and the ensuing dialogue is very painful to watch. It de-railed the film for me in 89 and still does. Batman Returns was okay except for Selina Kyle trashing her flat which seemed so OTT KIlmer giving Gordon the thumbs up to Gordon when he is flying past in the Bat-wing makes me cringe a bit too. As for Batman and Robin, well, personally I would find it quicker to say what was good about it. Alicia Silverstone dressed as Batgirl! Cool! Batman Begins and the old Adam West movie rule! Great films. Deep down I love all of them but those two are special!

I tell you the worst movie moment.when batman & robin was running at the end of batman forever you could see batman's ears wiggling left to right like it was plastic. Which it probaly was

I think the butt shots were the worst. why on earth do we need to see that???!!! yes, Batman is a human, so he has a bottom, we don't need to know how tightly the suit covers it, as long as it does cover it so he doesn't get arrested for indecent exposure. I just realized that B&R isn't for kids. It shows alot of nipples and butts.
But of course there's no nipples on Batgirl's suit. Well, actually, she does kinda have nipples on her suit,I remember in some of the press shots, and I think in the scene where it shows you her chest when she puts the uniform on,that you can see very small "points" on ahem, certain areas....look,I was 16 when that movie came out,and how she looked in that suit was a big deal to me,so I have it pretty much burned in the brain,I'm not proud you know

Actually the entire Batman & Robin movie was a repaint of Batman Forever. They just added more neon, more heroes, more villains, more camp and cut down on that excess baggage of depth... Here's some evidence on how your right: Beginning: Forever- Batman suiting up B&R- Batman and Robin suiting up End: Both have new vehicles Forever- Batman and Robin running at us with the Batsingnal behind them. B&R- Batman, Robin, and Batgirl running at us. And another worst moment is when Freeze froze the Batmobile, but when he got back to the Batcave, it was unfrozen. CONTINUITY PROBLEM!

Actually I've posted the BF and B&R comparisons in another thread. It's not a secret that Akiva Goldsman used the same script and just changed names and locations. The plot remains identical. What a lazy b.....d

There are countless scenes, dialog, and images to choose from: One of the things that has never once failed to make me cringe in Batman 89 (from opening night to this very day) is the rediculously poor "animation" of Batman's silhouette on the rooftop in one of the opening scenes just prior to his assault on the two muggers.
I also agree with the "wiggling" ears here and there over the following films, but something I accept as "hard to avoid". Similar to the "wiggling" / shaking ice in B+R... but knowing how hard such effects surely must be doesnt make it any easier to watch lol~

yeah I also couldn't believe how bad that animation at the beginning of Batman '89 was.

Another thing I didn't like in Batman were the gunshots and ricochets. None of the sound effects were good.

I didn't like that Batman asked Vicki how much she weighed and then told her she weighed more than that. They could have went without that.

the search lights are pretty badly anmated too, especially when seen from above. the origin of the light seems to move side to side as the lights are being swivelled.
also, when Batman rescues Vale fromthe Flugelheim and takes her back to the cave, he says "you have something else I want", referring to the camera film.
then Vicki wakes up in her own apartment and realises that batman took the film.
did he knock her out, steal the film, then return her home?
or did they have sex, he stole the film, then he knocked her out, then return her home? isn't that similar to date-rape? if she was conscious throughout the ordeal, surely she would notice that he took the film?

are you sure?
the impression i got from the music and the way he lifted his cape up and all the bats screeching, that they were about to 'do it' after they fell for each other after their previous meeting.
and later on when Vicki goes into the cave, she says "we really got to each other the other night", implying they gave in to their attraction for each other.
if he only wanted the film, he could have simply asked her for it once they were safe from the bad guys. he didn't have to bring her to the cave, unless he wanted to seduce her.
i watched it again last night, and that animation looks really bad, so jerky.
and I don't like it when Napier said to Bob the Goon in the office before he sent him out to find out about Knox after he fried Rotelli, "you....are my number 1.......and I....."
whats he trying to say, he didn't finish the sentence?
EDIT: have just checked this last point with subtitles, and he actually says "remember......you..... are my number 1....guy", but it sounds like "number 1.....and I".

Could you count the 1940's movie serials as well? Because they have plenty of horrible momments...(The first chubby Batman, lame costumes, racist depiction of the villian...)
Batman The Movie: The logic of the abduction of Schmidlapp during the start of the movie..."...But, it happened at sea! 'C' for Catwoman!"
Batman: Vicki Vale screaming bloody awful every...oh...Five seconds...Her being led into the Bat-cave...The awful 'animated' silhouette before he attacks the muggers...
Batman Returns: The Penguin's gushing of green/ black blood...Max Shrek's electrocution...
Batman Forever: Val Kilmer's lisp; "Tell me, doctor...Do you like the sth-ir-cuss? (If you listen hard enough you can hear it)" The over-the-top score...The close-ups on the heroes crotches when they suit up...
Batman & Robin: Really, what part of this celluloid disaster wouldn't make a 'worst moment's' list?

1)mr. freeze wearing slippers-why? it's not like his toes are going to get cold 2)freeze making his goons sing 3)bat-nipples 4)bane 5)two face acted like a fool, plus, the scene where he flipped his coin over and over again, doesn't he make his decision from ONE flip of a coin? 6)poison ivy's overacting 7)batman and robin being publicly known. 8)not revealing bruce's job for the first two movies 9)not revealing where he got his training and equipment 10)catwoman's origin there's more, but it would take a while for me to type it all

ummm....yeah...well, lets see...pretty much every moment in all four previous films was painful for me....its hard to pick only a few... What's worse is that we're/ you're not including the awful 40's serials, (which could, technically, be considered movies), or, Batman: The Movie...I just watched The Movie recently, and, it's still painful. Now that I'm older I can understand and appreciate that the show was lampooning the awful comics from the (let's be honest) late 40's-to-late 60's...However, that doesn't mean that I have to like it/ go along with it...

"Worst movie moments": I've got one... :PHanding the Batman movie license over to Joel Schumacher in the first place, though, in his defense, if his movies weren't horrible we wouldn't have the far-superior Batman Begins... So, way-to-go Schumacher!

[glow=hotpink,2,300]Did you know that Gossip Gertie is actually Elizabeth Saunders who was Bob Kane's wife? Now thats interesting.
Batman Returns: the penguins with rockets
Batman Forever: The whole Two-Face acting like a wannabe Joker was just insulting
Batman and Robin: WHOLE movie. Except I thought Uma Thurman actually was an okay Ivy despite the script. But the worst scene has to be when Mr.Freeze over does the whole thing and watches that animated cartoon and everybody is singing. And the fact that Bane was a caveman dressed up as a bondage star didnt help either...yea the beat goes on...dadda dadda dee...[/glow]

What I didn't like about BATMAN & ROBIN was that it was a different Batgirl. Instead of being Gordan's daughter, she was Alfred's niece. Did Schumacher even read the comics before he made this movie?

If he did, they were either A.) ones based off of the 60's television series, or, B.) 50's ones; that's the only explanation I could think of...Also, for a hilarious "easter egg", if you happen to own a copy of the TNAB episode "Legends of the Dark Knight", right before the Dark Knight Returns segment, the three kids meet up with their friend "Joel", who has long hair, and works at "Shoeman's Fashions"; he also talks of Batman's muscles will clutching a garment...Shoeman's= Schumacher, which is German... ;D Hi-larious...
