Before you go ahead and vote for Bale, take a look at thes stats for the former 3: Michael Keaton Why he's Batman: Cold and calculating Why he's not Batman: Short in stature Val Kilmer Why he's Batman: Before Bale, looked more like Wayne Why he's not Batman: Blind Loyalty to Schumacher George Clooney Why he's Batman: He fit the suit. Why he's not Batman: For a list of why Clooney's not Batman, please watch Batman and Robin. So Bale's the obvious choice. Or Keaton.

hahahahaha i like the Clooney reasons. i'd say Bale, i loved his voice and his portrayal of Batman and Bruce Wayne. his Batman voice was genuinely frightening.

George Clooney can act, but not as Batman.

I enjoyed Keaton's portrayal of the Bat and was more than happy with the job he did. However Bale just"Got it" as far as i'm concerned. He really knew what to bring to both the Bruce and Batman personas and managed to convey his feelings to the auience admirably.I doubt there will ever be any real competition for Bale's character translation.

Val Kilmer Why he's not Batman: Blind Loyalty to Schumacher Actually Kilmer and Schumacher had constant arguments hence Kilmer left after Forever.

Like to see Keaton return, in Worlds finest or some other guest role, not in Nolans version.

Keaton got my vote purely on nostalgia. Bale was fantastic, no doubts there but Keaton's Batman was so cool at the time. He was particularly great in Batman Returns. I'd rate them Keaton, Bale, Kilmer, West and then Clooney These are all personal opinions so I hope I don't upset anyone and for what it is worth, I do like them all. (Even Clooney)

Keaton to me is by far the best. I can't understand why people thought Bale did such a great job, I thought he badly overacted. I didn't see B&R, as for Kilmer I think he did the best he could with the script he had. I firmly believe "I" could play Batman if given a good script. It's all about the dialogue. if Michael Keaton had been given the line "It's the car right? Chicks dig the car", I'm pretty sure we'd all be saying he sucked too

What no ADAM WEST?
I voted for Christian Bale because I think anybody can play Batman it's Bruce Wayne you need the right actor for and Bale definately fit the bill. And he is the most physically fit Bruce Wayne/Batman to date. Christian Bale is a good solid over all Batman. The only thing I think that is lacking is the voice. Which I would say Micheal Keaton NAILED, but Bale's weak Batman voice kind of fits in with the movie because he is just starting out as Bats and learing as he goes...

It's something that struck me the third time I was watching the film and discussing with my brother.

I liked Keaton I gotta say.his distracted Bruce Wayne was very good and his Batman was very menacing too I thought. Bale was/is excellent and he is brilliant as Batman. Vilmer wasnt loyal to Schumacher man-he hit him on set one day during filming and when Carrey tried to lighten up the situation Kilmer threatened him too

I liked both, but, at the end of the day, Bale was the first to actually make me want to see more footage of Bruce Wayne; I enjoyed it when he was in costume and when he was out of costume in Batman Begins. Fear was an essential ingredient for the success of Batman in the realistic Chicago/ Tokyo/ New Jersey-esque setting for setting the character up as an urban "Bogey man".
In Batman (1989)'s case, it was cool, IMO, to just see him in the suit...
