I've always thought about this. I say yes. But it must be done in the right context. What do ya'll think?

Undecided... Of course as a fan of both Batman (obviously) and the original DKR, I would love to see it played out in live action form. But the reality is, would that particular story (entirely) be appropriate and best? Would it be more fitting for a later "installment" of a film franchise? I dunno, I think as great as DKR was at the time, the time and money could still be better spent on other Bat-Film endeavors. Just me?

I would love that to be made and still have the present series with Bale to keep going. All I have to say is MICKEAL KEATON!

I am the hell no vote purely for the fact that I use my own life for the extreme pessimism. Batman's supposed to offer hope. TDKR was just way too hopeless for my tastes. Plus, the mutants are just as bad as Mr. Freeze's iceskating henchmen in my opinion. I can't see them being done well.

[shadow=purple,left,300]I don't think a live action movie would do justice to DKR. I wouldn't mind an animated adaptation, though.[/shadow]

I think if you took keatons batman from B89 and batman returns have burton direct it we could have something special on our hands. Keatons batman was a ruthless batman and even killed. I beleive as a sequal to the first 2 and pretend that forever and Band R didn't happen like the new superman film it could work. As long as they keep it separate from Bale's batman and keep that franchise going. It would never happen having 2 different batman franchises in theatres but I can dream. Maybe a straight to televison movie event they could even do. Again it still wouldn't happen but it would be cool. An animated version would be pretty cool also.

I think a Live Version of The Dark Knight Returns would work, look at how well Sin City turned out, hell Mickey Rourke could even play an older Bruce Wayne, he played Marv really well. I would love to see this come to life sometime, my fingers are crossed

but what do ya'll think about an adaption made by the fans. Us? look at Dead End. If we all worked together we could pull it off.
