Discuss rumors and opinions on possible titles for the sequel here.
according to BOF, possible sequel titles include BATMAN STRIKES and BATMAN ATTACKS

Hopefully none of these titles make it through because they are very lame and uncreative. Batman Begins worked as a catchy and descriptive title. Batman Attacks sounds very primitive and besides, Batman does not attack - he defends. Batman Attacks sounds like a line of new Hot Wheels cars that come with a chomping action. Batman Strikes sounds primitive as well - besides this is already the slogan and title of "The Batman" adoptions.
My favorite title is Batman Escalation or Batman Escalates because it refers to the end of BB and pretty much fits with what will happen in the sequel. I would love Batman Returns as title - too bad that has already been taken...
By the way I think Batman: The Escalation Game would be a great working title.
I'm sure none of the titles that have been suggested so far will eventually make it. Who would have thought in 2003 that the title of BB would be so simplistic and genious at the same time. The title will be something very simple, clever and catchy - and nothing awkward-sounding.

I agree with Outrageous, those sounds terrible.
Do they even need to have 'Batman' in the title?
If it does need to have it in the title, it should be something like "Batman: ____ ____ ____"
It could have something witty relating to the story or villains in the movie. it doesn't necessarily have to be "Batman 'doing something' "

It should be something related to the plot of the movie like Batman: Endgame or Batman: The Long Halloween

I dont have much problem with "Strikes", but "Attacks" just doesnt work for me. I agree though at this point I think it would be safe for the studio to stray from the formulaic "single worded sub-titles".

from a webmaster standpoint, I pray they don't use Strikes...that'll just cause confusion with the 'the batman' tie-in comic

[shadow=purple,left,300]BATMAN RISING or BATMAN RISES is what I've hoped for. BATMAN STRIKES gets my vote, but I'm not "thrilled" by it per say.[/shadow]

I'd go with BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT.

I'd go with BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT. A little too much like DKR in my book. How about Batman: Caped Crusader. Still not that great, but it would work. How about a format like MotP and RotJ?

It IS time for something "fresh" in my opinion. I would like to see a James Bond approach to future installments... WE MOVIE GOERS AND FANS KNOW WHAT IT IS! (its a promotion matter and I think its safe to say Batman and his image would be even more obvious and recognizable than Bond?) I think just incorporating the Bat-symbol to the marque / ads / promo art would be more than sufficiant? But I could live with "Batman" and then a suitable subtitle, but images from the film itself or any number of other approaches would work equally well and add a touch of "class" IMHO. Trying to maintain this curent formula just requires they "stretch" the concept to the point of stupidity. Batman Triumphant Batman Absolute Batman Tremendous Batman Incontinent!

Batman Escalade.
Just think of the tie-in opportunities.

Personally I love the Batman Rises suggestion. It sounds awesome. Although it might conflict with the theme of Batman Begins since "Batman Begins" and "Batman Rises" kinda mean the same thing. But maybe the movie will focus just on what Batman will be rising from. So far my prediction is the title will be "Batman (insert verb)"

This is more difficult than I thought! If the Joker is the bad guy in this film then I will go for the easy ones; Batman:The Killing Joke Batman:The Joker Strikes Batman:Night of the Joker Batman:Nemesis All lame I know but then I am that kind of guy!

Well I like the idea of...
Batman: The Killing Joke... that would probably work best for bringing in The Joker...

Even though I suggested it a few posts back, I don't think it should be THE KILLING JOKE. 2 reasons:
1. Some people may get confused with the story. 2. It should be something like Batman Strikes. That's my pick.
For the 3rd one, I'll get back to you on that.

Since the first three films are like Year One, these would be good titles for the movies:
1. Batman Begins (Already named)
2. Batman Escalation (Like Gordon said. Batman's theatricallity is spreading starting with Joker.)
3. Batman Triumphant (I know this was the title for the 5th Batman film, but it seems appropriate with def. Two-Face, Joker, and all the other freaks(even if it doesn't last long).)
How about these titles?

I like JokerInc's idea. Batman: Anarchy is the best one I have seen on here. I can't believe that I have just now seen his post considering he wrote it last Oct.
