^ It's how well an actor does his job that's the issue.
Based on his work outside of Fantastic Four, I think McMahon could've pulled it off. He was miscast as Doom, IMO. Two-Face would've been more suitable for him.
On another note, I recently caught a glimpse of a film called Primal Fear on television. Edward Norton's big break. He plays a man accused of murder. But it turns out...he has a split personality. I was inspired by Scott Beatty's comment in an interview: "Edward Norton was born to play Two-Face" Norton gave a wonderful performance in what little I saw (especially the ending) and although he's my number one choice for Black Mask (because of his voice), I could easily see him play Two-Face.

not nessarry the actor also the direction, eric bana was a great pick for the movie hulk, but ang lee ruin it with his directing abilty. Im not taking anything ang lee directing skills, its that some directors shouldnt direct superhero movies.
And I agree edward Norton should play black mask.

McMahon would be awesome as Two Face. I didn't see Fantastic Four, we usually wait to rent movies at my house. I know that he has done great work on Nip/Tuck. I think his voice is a little too nice, but they could modify that fairly easily.
I don't care what part Norton gets, he should be in the movie. He would be a great plus.

um the dude is an actor...thats his job [shadow=purple,left,300]So was Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Either way, I think McMahon is a halfway decent actor, but I can't picture him as Harvey or Two-Face. Not to mention I'm still upset over Fantastic Four.[/shadow]not nessarry the actor also the direction, eric bana was a great pick for the movie hulk, but ang lee ruin it with his directing abilty. What happened was he tried doing too much at once, and it eventually folded in on itself. His other movies make up for the disaster, especially "Brokeback Mountain."[/shadow]

Eric Bana's performance as an equally disturbed young man was so much more natural in Munich.

ive always felt that Jullian McMahon would of been a great Twoface He is great on Nip Tuck, and he wasn't really allowed to shine in Fantastic Four, I felt he could have been a huge asset to that film if he was allowed to shine, there was too much silly stuff with the FF, and not enough Dr. Doom. Julian McMahon isn't that bad of a pick.

That is really cool. I agree that he needs to have more burns. I think his hair should at least be more contrasted. It still looks really sweet.

from SHH:
Scooper 'Alexander' has an interesting bit from "The Prestige" set:
For the past week, I served as a grip on the set of "The Prestige," and I can tell you that during the lunch break each day Nolan, Bale and Caine have what we refer to on the set as the Batman meetings, where they sit under at a table under a tent away from everyone and discuss the coming abouts of the sequel. While everyone is to keep away from the area, we do find ways to sneak by. And I would just like to point out I have heard the names Paul Bettany followed by Joker and Jake Gyllenhaal followed by Dent. Just thought I'd send that your way, cheers.
PLEASE WB....do NOT cast Jake Gyllenhaal as Dent. That would annoy me beyond belief. I've never liked that guy.

UGH! NOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOo.... Jake Gyllenhal as Harvey Dent, please NoOoOoOoOoOoOo! I hope they don't feel bad because Christian Bale won out and got the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman over Jake, and how he lost out to getting Peter Parker/Spiderman. Jake is a decent actor, but he is way to young to be getting the role of Harvey Dent/Two Face
Thanks for the info /\/\att

Apparently there was something on CNN about Gyllenhal being announced as Harvey. I didn't see it myself - I'm just pointlessly spreading rumors and fanning the flames...

I have heard the same thing, and places like Virgin.net and a few other entertainment sites are reporting that Gyllenhal is close to signing or already has, I hope this is only rumor, they also are saying Katie Holmes will be returning.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Well, never doubt the possible range ol' Gylly might hold within. However, let it be known that I believe he is one of the most overrated and worst actors ever(anyone could have been Jack in Brokeback Mountain or Donnie in "Donnie Darko," for cryin' out loud). Besides, anyone who starred in "Bubble Boy" should automatically banned from the Batman franchise.[/shadow]

I'm all for Liev Schreiber. Would Love to see him cast as ol' Harv.
When i first heard the Gylly rumor my reaction was in the same tone as you guys. But there are always 2 sides to a coin and i was on BOF today and read the "where there's smoke, there's fire" quote. Then i scrolled down and looked at the pic. Then i remembered that Nolan raved about his audition. He looks too young but to me Cillian Murphy seemed too young for Crane and logically too young to be a well established, respected Psychiatrist. But IMO he was phenomenal. Also to me most of the roles Gylly has had haven't been much to show off his acting chops and i haven't seen his cowboy flick but i feel like he could be a good actor. I liked him in Jarhead and i believed his acting that he was an @$$hole and you know what...Dent is an @$$hole too, 'cept to his wife. His age is also close to Bruce's which would make them seem like a mutual kinship to each other. Also he's young enough that Gordon could take to him as a son type and his reaction be all the more tragic. I may not be Gylly's biggest fan or anything but i trust Nolan and Co. judgement.

i think i have figured out what the problem is, we need an older person to play two-face, but we need a younger person to play dent because of harvey and bruce's relationship. i'm not saying that i am against bringing two-face in on the third film, but (IMO) if it was me, i would bring dent in and cultivae him for a bit and let the characters mature before i made two-face.
i like the way liev looks in two-face mods, but brokeback is killing me. however for sake of arguement, he does place closer to bale's age....
just a thought.......
