[shadow=navy,left,300]With producers not unveiling anything big(ger than cast info and the Feb. press releases) about "The Batman," I though about posting this thread:
What are your wishes for "The Batman?" In other words, what do you really want to see done in "The Batman" that was overlooked in the other "Batman" series?
I think I just want more in-depth stories and origins. It would be nice to see the first appearances of the Joker and Penguin, and maybe they could get Two-Face's origin right. Assuming they have him in the show... But even if they don't, I'd like to see Harvey Dent used a bit more than the animated series.
I would also like them to have action figures for all of the villains, not just popular ones. I would really like a Firefly or Mr. Zsasz...[/shadow]

I just hope they dont make Bruce like Terry in BB. He'll be new to the crimefighting game and make mistakes no doubt, but other than maybe not keeping his anger in-check, he ought to be a very mature young man. Afterall, he had his childhood ripped from him the day he witnessed his parents murder. While he's Bruce he can "act" like a young millionaire playboy but when he dons the cape and cowl, I hope for a very tough, angry, young, Dark Knight.

My wishes:
Deep and meaningful stories (BTAS) and no superficial and lame, action-packed but generic episodes a la TNBA.
No "Spider-Man does Batman"-show to make the show more relatable for the younger crowd. *cough*Beyond*cough*
I know SOME of the variants will be used, but I hope they do it TASTEFULLY.
After they already screwed up The Joker's look I hope they won't screw up Two-Face's appearance or origin.

I just hope that they don't pander, or dumb it down. Granted, I'm biased, but I hold B:TAS as the high-water-mark for all cartoons, especially superhero or Batman related. I want to see an intelligent, competent Batman, and a serious Gotham City that could be home to a Bruce Wayne who in no way shape or form resembles Terry McGinnis.
I want to see the villains treated accordingly...a psychoticly dangerous but funny Joker, a pompous, suave Penguin, an arrogant and crafty Riddler.
I also want to hear that Two-Face, Poison Ivy and Commissioner Gordon will be on the show, and as much as I doubt it'll happen, I want Harley Quinn on the show as well.
I want to be able to never have to worry about rolling my eyes at the show, and I don't want to see Batman sold out in attempt to attract short-attention-spanned children.

You said a mouthful. I'm so mixed up right now between the things I've seen and heard that seem really good, and the things that seem terrible (The Joker's new look, the varaints).
I can't even have an opinion at this point.
I just want to not be embarassed to be a bat-fan by it.

i want the batman to have a dark tone like BTAS..I don't want the episodes to be about teens and the problems they face and cause (Batman Beyond) cuz that's the main reason I hated Batman Beyond...I don't mind the ocasional humor...that's cool wit me...

The origin stories of some of the primary villains would be a good thing to see.Especially since we're following bruce from the beginning so to speak. The idea of The Batman finding his feet in crimefighting is a concept that i am so ready to embrace. Not since the bits and pieces in Phantasm have we seen any sort of origin relation to the Bat. I just hope they show The Batman wrestling with the issues that is sure to confront him as he takes on the Mantle.I don't want to see a super-confident and highly competent hero from the start.I want to feel what he's feeling as he comes to grips with all the major villains both physically and mentally.

jman - the cartoon you couldn't think of earlier was either called the Zeta Files or the Zeta Project I believe. Also, someone mentioned Mr. Zsasz - while this would be nice, they wouldn't be able to create the Mr. Zsasz we are all familiar with. He would have to be changed to some degree to be put on the show (or be made extremely weak like Deadshot ). My thoughts are basically the same as everyone else (origin stories, etc). One thing I would like that I didn't see mentioned would be having Black Mask in the show. I don't know why he wasn't in BTAS (maybe he was too similar to other characters like Two-Face), but I think he needs to have a spot in a Batman toon.

From what you said about Mr. Zsasz, I agree that they'd tone him down a bit. I was certain that they confirmed him for the show a while back, though. Same thing with Black Mask. I'll head over to "Bring on the Batman" to find out.
1 minute later... They're not on the list, but I still swear that at least one of them was either in talks or talked about a month or so after the press release.[/shadow]

I would like to see good fight sens and frequent (not sure if that's how to spell it lol ;D) use of his gadgets. I would also like them to show what drives him and makes him get back up after he is "knocked down". To show how much his parents death affected him and how determined he is.

I just hope they don't screw this up like they did to Teen Titans.
